What an amazing experience! Fantastic omakase for under $100. The eel/unagi and otoro are particular stand-outs - I forgot to take more pictures, I got so wrapped up in how delicious everything was!

Such a good experience! The chefs were incredible at their jobs but also engaging and lively. The server made the evening really beautiful with his presence. They gave everyone a free shot on the house and we also got a mini cake for our celebration. The food was out of this world! So yummy and you do not feel hungry after.

The quality of fish is exceptional, with favorites like shaved truffle over toro, buttery hamachi, and amberjack, as well as their signature caviar/uni/toro over milkbread. The 14-course omakase costs $89 and rivals more expensive competitors, with the chef offering insights into each ingredient, making guests feel like old friends. While the sushi rice may not be perfect on certain bites, the overall experience remains great, with extras like free sake shots and mochi dessert. The restaurant's space is beautiful, located on Eldridge near Houston. Some visitors find the ambiance quiet and the interaction with the chef limited, but Zen Sushi Omakase continues to be highly recommended for its excellent food and welcoming atmosphere.
