“Office too cold in the summer? No problem, Kuma’s delicious soup will warm you right up! The Tonkotsu is amazing, the Tori is really good especially if you are new. This place is a gem!“

“Great happy hour spot. Don't arrive during happy hour for a dinner table without a reservation on a weekend night. High tops are seated for dinner guests only when guests finally are done with the long happy hour.

Drink specials at happy hour are worth the trip but someone has to wait in line at the door at 4:30 for high top seating. Meeting people at happy hour is easy because seating is close and you can hear everyone's chatter.

Well staffed. Good service. Catering takeout is easy and consistent.

“Restaurant week in schenectady at we hit ferrari's. OMG. Nate our server was amazing. So was the gentleman bagging leftovers. Food even better but they were both great. $30 got me calamari, linguini and desert. Hubby got the pasta fagioli (a quart) and beef braciole. Delicious. Not our first visit never our last. “I’ve been meaning to try this place for a long time and I’m very glad my boyfriend and I finally made it! Amazing service and our meals, the bolognese and Vitello alla 72, were delicious. The calamari was also crispy and tender. The best part was they accidentally brought a caprese salad to our table and let us enjoy it for free, very generous for such an insignificant “mistake.” Great prices and not too loud or chaotic in there like some places that try to fit in as many tables as possible. “Just this evening, I ordered take out from the wrong location. I called Stuyvesant plaza instead of Slingerlands. When I called Stuyvesant about the mistake the manager said, “ No problem”. What’s your address ? I will drive it out to you. Within a 1/2 hour this awesome guy Justin pulled into my driveway with all our food. Hot food and cold salad !! Thank you. Way to go!!“

“to the people commenting on the lack of ambiance...? i think it is fine. for me the music is "ambient" enough, along with the lovely wall mural, and photos showing what the food is....not to mention the collection of both holly AND "bolly"wood stars and starlets, adorning a back side wall. the dining area is always SPOTLESSLY CLEAN, and the bathroom shines. they keep the prices very reasonable, which is a HUUGE plus for me. the food is always great, fresh, and tasty, not to mention a lot healthier than the traditional american diet. staff is attentive. i never felt they "watch to see how many dishes you take", as someone suggested. they are likely making sure people get FRESH plates with every visit to the steam tables., since this is actually a restaurant/buffet health law...i have never ever, once felt like they wanted to "rush" me out. they are always very welcoming and accommodating.. “This is authentic sushi served in a no frills atmosphere. Put down that grocery store fake sushi and treat yourself to the real deal. The pacing is slower here, but it's worth the wait. They are BYOB, so pick up an adult beverage to enjoy while you dine in.“

“This was my first visit to Modu Sushi. Since it was cold out, I started with the shrimp shumai appetizer which was nice and hot and fresh tasting. I liked the nice presence of spring onion in shumai, and the sauce was a good accompaniment.

The 2 rolls I ordered were stuffed well, and rolled nice and tightly. Since their kimchi was sold out, I asked for some gochujiang as a change of pace alongside the wasabi & ginger. What an eye-opener! It had everything. Salt, heat, a fair bit of acid which made the sushi really pop and made my cheeks rosy.

Well, since my cheeks were rosy anyway, I ordered some cold sake, just so I didn't get cold on the way to the car. Yea, that's it...

I finished, as I usually do, with a single piece of Toro as dessert. It was cut well which made it very tender, and as Toro does, just melted in your mouth. Since it was a generous piece, I had some with the gochujiang which made it even better. That is a dangerous sauce!

I definitely want to visit again to try their bulgogi, or bibimbap... or both.

“I won’t betray my boys at Shining Rainbow because they’re the best of the best, but Taiwan Noodle is definitely a strong contender and right behind them. The food is hot, delicious, and really fantastic. I recommend dining in rather than ordering takeout—though maybe ordering isn’t completely off the table? The one time I got takeout, they skimped on the meat, but that’s in the past now. The food is still amazing!“
