“Been coming to this bakery 20+ years if anything has changed it’s the beautiful bakery it self. The rainbow cookies and cannolis will always be my family’s favorite. I bought my granddaughter’s cake here a few weeks ago and everyone loved it. New owner is very nice and keeping tradition from what I heard. Still my favorite bakery on Long Island.“

“I stopped in to Emilia’s Bakehouse Café on Walt Whitman Rd in Melville yesterday (they have another location in E. Northport) and boy, was I glad I did! I entered into a well-lit shop filled with pastries, scones, cookies, brownies, croissants, breads and quiches, etc. and was greeted with enthusiasm and a smile by 2 attractive young ladies. It was a great vibe just being there, very stress relieving. The chocolate brownie is perfection in texture and taste! The scones and peanut butter coconut power bites are delicious! Their organic Colombian coffee is the bomb, and you can get it with your favorite milk - for me it’s Oat Planet oat milk. Stop in, it’ll make your day! A feast for the eyes and tastebuds :)“

I came here with my friend, I wanted to try it because I'm currently dating a Vin and it looked like a good bakery. My friend and I were impressed with what we bought. I got the peanut butter square to try and it was so delicious, a good amount of peanut butter and chocolate. I got the linzer tart which I split with my family later on that night and the jelly inside the linzer tart was amazing, a crisp fruity taste! The coffee was also good I didn't expect the coffee to be good but it was a good cup of coffee. This is a bakery worth visiting.“

Not only the was the staff and baker patient and friendly, they made the entire process stress-free during a stressful time! We struggled to decide a concept before hand but the baker was able to guide us (over the phone with a family member there in person- so even more impressive) to a design and flavor combo that we hadn’t considered and ended up becoming our favorite. Our cake was PERFECT! We were able to pick it up and store it for a few hours at the venue and it kept perfectly. I go especially for their fresh goods - baklava, spanakopita, tiropita, galaktoboureko, kourabiedes, koulourakia, melomakarona, etc. Everything is so fresh and so delicious. They have a small hot case with the spanakopita and tiropita, so you can get a piece ready to eat. The people there are so nice as well. Good variety of cheeses and frozen goods too. One star removed for convenience of store hours. They are only open during the day, Monday to Friday. I wish they would consider opening on Saturday, if even for a few hours, or staying open past 4pm a few times a week.“

My two favorites are the pistachio and rainbow cookie gelato ?.. they also have a nice selection of pastries / cakes. “It's a shame to write this but we couldnt get through to anyone who spoke English. They bake delicious goods but the girl behind the counter sold me white bread instead of rye. You would think she would know the difference. This is the 2nd screw up. The last time she overcharged us and didnt even blink. Be careful you don't get ripped off by the cashiers. Otherwise, it's a nice bakery. I sincerely hope management takes this seriously.

She said for this particular pretzel why not everyone take a little piece so it’s like she’s there celebrating with you. “I love this bakery but recently they decided to change the shape of their crumb bun. They used to bake them in a large tray and cut them ino rectangular pieces and they were up by the register. Now they are made round and in the glass case. The new crumb bun/cake does not taste as good, even though they say its the same recipe as the crumb bun itself.The rectangular shape. This round, one falls apart as you either cut into it or bite into it, and it doesn't have the same taste. Very disappointed that they change such a good thing.“

“This is a very well-priced, very high quality, and very upstanding bakery. We bulk ordered hundreds of lbs of cookies for business gifts.
They have small bakery taste, quality, and service at commercial quantities.

The shipment packaging was very rigid and nothing came broken which was amazing (they shipped to CO). Even more amazing were the cookies. It wasn't just "different shapes and colors with massive amounts of sugar" like most commercial bakeries.
Every cookie had its own unique flavor and texture!

The packaging trays are also cardboard, with minimal plastic covering. Eco-friendly is a huge bonus!

We looked a very long time for a good bakery that was ethical AND put out a good product. Cookies United promotes employees mostly from within and their 'about us' video immediately sold me on purchasing from here.

We put our employees first and believe in turning normal jobs into careers and so does this place. That's how business should be.
