I was introduced to this spot by a friend, and I’ll admit my expectations were low when I heard the cakes didn’t use eggs. But after one bite, I was completely won over. My absolute favorite is their butterscotch cake. It’s rich, flavorful, and perfectly moist. These cakes are so popular that slices often sell out quickly, so I highly recommend reserving ahead of time if you want to guarantee your pick.

Even their cookies are tasty, though I do think they’re a bit pricier for the quantity you get. Still, the cakes are definitely the star of the show and worth every penny.“

“I stopped in to Emilia’s Bakehouse Café on Walt Whitman Rd in Melville yesterday (they have another location in E. Northport) and boy, was I glad I did! I entered into a well-lit shop filled with pastries, scones, cookies, brownies, croissants, breads and quiches, etc. and was greeted with enthusiasm and a smile by 2 attractive young ladies. It was a great vibe just being there, very stress relieving. The chocolate brownie is perfection in texture and taste! The scones and peanut butter coconut power bites are delicious! Their organic Colombian coffee is the bomb, and you can get it with your favorite milk - for me it’s Oat Planet oat milk. Stop in, it’ll make your day! A feast for the eyes and tastebuds :)“

They have the best bacon and egg sandwiches and their tuna and chicken salads are always a welcome sight back home. Their bagels are always fresh and flavorful no matter what variety I get. I've come to know the owner, Boris, and his staff, and they are always most helpful. Looking forward to my next trip to Merrick.“

Her carrot cake is SO moist and full of delicious, fresh goodness that you can actually see the carrots and raisins. The frosting adds the perfect sweetness and enhances the cake’s flavor. The best I’ve ever had! Her blueberry pie, another winner, delicious and made with fresh blueberries and not overly sweet. Their cheese danish is extremely custardy, and has a soft background of vanilla. It's flakey, and falls apart when you bite it. I love their atmosphere, their employees—this location is amazing, and I've made myself a weekly regular solely from his hospitality.“

“I visited Get Baked in Hicksville and was really impressed with the atmosphere, the friendly employees, and the fair prices. However, I was a bit disappointed with the Rainbow Cookie Cupcake. I was under the impression that the cupcakes would be filled, but it turned out to be a basic cupcake with just a rainbow cookie on top. While it was still tasty, it didn’t quite meet my expectations.“

“If only I knew Polish then I could write a review in the establishment’s native tongue. I wanted to branch out and try different cuisine. I wanted something sweet and decided try this bakery. It is as authentic in every way. All the items you see are made right there. Delicious pastries. My favorite are the danishes. They are full of flavor and not overwhelmingly sweet. The fruit tastes like a yummy marmalade you could lather on toast or a bagel. You actually taste the fruit and not a sugar additive. All kinds of goodies as well as some choice meats and bread of all sorts. Don’t go in hungry or you will come out with bags of stuff. It even offers fresh food such as blintzes, potato pancakes, soups, cutlets, and more. I sadly don’t speak any other language except English. Which is an issue in other ethnic shops. Here they do have workers who can communicate in English. But some not at all. But they are very polite and patient even as we work together by pointing out items. Again patience is worth it. I see local polish coming in and they are home. Which is always a great sign a place is legit. So if you want to cheat on your diet or give your taste buds a treat, come here.“

The cookies and sweets are to die for. Stop in, grab a cookie, have a sandwich. The staff are super awesome. They're closed on Mondays though. The rest of the week though, they open. Limited seating, so maybe do a grab and run. This local business is great. Stop in.“
