I was introduced to this spot by a friend, and I’ll admit my expectations were low when I heard the cakes didn’t use eggs. But after one bite, I was completely won over. My absolute favorite is their butterscotch cake. It’s rich, flavorful, and perfectly moist. These cakes are so popular that slices often sell out quickly, so I highly recommend reserving ahead of time if you want to guarantee your pick.

Even their cookies are tasty, though I do think they’re a bit pricier for the quantity you get. Still, the cakes are definitely the star of the show and worth every penny.“

“I stopped in to Emilia’s Bakehouse Café on Walt Whitman Rd in Melville yesterday (they have another location in E. Northport) and boy, was I glad I did! I entered into a well-lit shop filled with pastries, scones, cookies, brownies, croissants, breads and quiches, etc. and was greeted with enthusiasm and a smile by 2 attractive young ladies. It was a great vibe just being there, very stress relieving. The chocolate brownie is perfection in texture and taste! The scones and peanut butter coconut power bites are delicious! Their organic Colombian coffee is the bomb, and you can get it with your favorite milk - for me it’s Oat Planet oat milk. Stop in, it’ll make your day! A feast for the eyes and tastebuds :)“

Their Italian cheesecake is absolutely the best we’ve ever had! It was rich, creamy, and had the authentic flavor we’d been searching for. It tasted amazing!! They have the best bacon and egg sandwiches and their tuna and chicken salads are always a welcome sight back home. Their bagels are always fresh and flavorful no matter what variety I get. I go especially for their fresh goods - baklava, spanakopita, tiropita, galaktoboureko, kourabiedes, koulourakia, melomakarona, etc. Everything is so fresh and so delicious. They have a small hot case with the spanakopita and tiropita, so you can get a piece ready to eat. The people there are so nice as well. Good variety of cheeses and frozen goods too. One star removed for convenience of store hours. They are only open during the day, Monday to Friday. I wish they would consider opening on Saturday, if even for a few hours, or staying open past 4pm a few times a week.“

Her carrot cake is SO moist and full of delicious, fresh goodness that you can actually see the carrots and raisins. The frosting adds the perfect sweetness and enhances the cake’s flavor. The best I’ve ever had! Her blueberry pie, another winner, delicious and made with fresh blueberries and not overly sweet. As she said everything is made from scratch with fresh ingredients and best of all you can taste the love she puts into her baking. “I visited Get Baked in Hicksville and was really impressed with the atmosphere, the friendly employees, and the fair prices. However, I was a bit disappointed with the Rainbow Cookie Cupcake. I was under the impression that the cupcakes would be filled, but it turned out to be a basic cupcake with just a rainbow cookie on top. While it was still tasty, it didn’t quite meet my expectations.“

“It's a shame to write this but we couldnt get through to anyone who spoke English. They bake delicious goods but the girl behind the counter sold me white bread instead of rye. You would think she would know the difference. This is the 2nd screw up. The last time she overcharged us and didnt even blink. Be careful you don't get ripped off by the cashiers. Otherwise, it's a nice bakery. I sincerely hope management takes this seriously.

“This place has been great for over 25 years. I bought my first cake there for my daughter’s baptism party in 2001. I bought a cake for my grandson’s 1st birthday party last month and it did not disappoint. The cake was beautifully decorated and tasted delicious.“

“We moved from Howard Beach 2 years ago. We bought a house in Dollard Drive. I usually walk my dog every day. I stopped by this bakery. Most of the time I will leave my dog outside, while I purchase bread & pastries. I dont know if the Woman that is always there is the owner, but she is the nicest person i ever met. I am a regular attendee of this bakery. Since I had throat cancer, I really can't speak so I carry my phone with me for messaging. Every day I usually buy bread a cannoli or Apple turnover. I point to the lady what I want. Many times there are young ladies working the counter. They are all wonderful and helpful. Now they let me and my Dog enter the bakery. He is very well behaved, most of time i buy a small cannoli for Duke. My Wife loves the Cannoli & the Apple turnover. I always leave a tip for them. Whether us winter, summer, rain, snow, heat i have to stop and get a pastry or bread. The name if the Bakery is appropriate. They are the ultimate.“
