“An extremely welcoming atmosphere with amazing food. First time I arrived, me and three of my friends were given free samples. Food was so good I ordered what we were given for free samples (Chicken over Rice).Owner was incredibly welcoming and friendly. You can tell this restaurant takes hygiene and cleanliness very seriously. If anyone is looking for a spot for quick eats in the Syracuse area, be sure to give this spot a try.“
“We had an amazing meal at this out of the way little gem. The ambiance was perfect and our server Kerri was the best!! We had the poutine for an app and I had the lobster roll, sweet potatoe fries and key lime pie-all so good!! My boyfriend got the mushroom Swiss bacon burger. Dont sleep on this place!“
“This place has amazing food .The lobster bisque was everything it was chunky and tasteful not salty at all. It’s hard to find good food if your not cooking at home and this place is it. Food came out hot and ready and most importantly the service was great.“
“I went here for Valentine’s Day and come here often with my fiance. Can’t say enough GOOD about this place. The food is great. The atmosphere is so peaceful and the staff are very friendly. Don’t leave syracuse without stopping here. Staple hands down.“
“Update: they reached out via response to this review as well as via phone call and have issued a refund. Changed from 1 to 4 stars. We eaten there before and had a good experience. However, this time we ordered take out. The fried chicken special that we ordered was entirely raw. When we called, they gave us push back, stating that there was a blood vein in the chicken. It was not, I can assure you. It was raw. We (kindly) asked for a refund subsequently hung up on. We attempted to call back a few times with the hopes that it was an accident, however they are now not answering our calls. So disappointed.“
“I found a great place for brunch today and am very satisfied in many ways! Here are my reasons:1) Time Management + Customer Service: I believe the time it takes to be served after placing an order is crucial in any restaurant. I'm not suggesting service should be as quick as a fast food chain's, but I've often experienced extremely long waits, almost an hour, especially in diners during weekends. Since my visit was on a Sunday morning and the place was full of customers, I was concerned about a possible long wait. However, our welcoming server, Deanna, quickly took my order and kindly recommended options as I was contemplating among several choices. To my surprise, I received my food within 5 minutes. I was impressed and realized this efficiency was possible because all staff members were handling their responsibilities professionally and promptly. Therefore, I was very satisfied and wish to praise their professionalism.2) Food: Naturally, food is also a crucial factor in evaluating restaurants. I tried the ‘Biscuit Bowl,’ which includes biscuits, eggs, potatoes, and bacon with a special sauce. It was delightful. The dish was neither too salty nor too sweet, striking a perfect balance. Several other menu items looked enticing, and I'm eager to try them next time.Overall, I'm thrilled to have discovered this place and to see everyone enjoying their meals. It's a joy to share this find.“
“Everyone we(my sister and I) interacted with today was super inclusive and extremely friendly. Can't say thank you enough to Tara and the 2 girls at the hostess stand. The food was super quick, as well as yummy, and our server checked up on us very frequently. Thanks for being awesome humans, y'all ☺️“
“I'm obsessed with their crisp chicken fingers, decadent mac and cheese, the olde world pizza (amazing flavor combinations!!) and the bbq chicken pizza. Ultimate comfort foods. I also tried the bang bang chicken noodles which was pretty interesting, not like your typical noodle dish, pretty sugary sauce. The tavern riggies are pretty solid if you're looking for a cozy pasta.“
“I'm always hyper critical of bars and typically only rate bars on amazing experiences or terrible experiences. I'm a huge speakeasy, prohibition era, whiskey bar kind of guy. I love the classic cocktails as they never fail when made right. I'm also a huge mixology fan, though most places miss the mark. That being said, this bar does everything you can do right, and I'll break my review down into multiple sections, as one paragraph is not enough to describe how great of an experience I had here.Atmosphere: The moment I walked in with friends, I knew it was going to be a great spot. They have a lot of classic video game references and old arcade machines. The name "Three Lives" references that as well. It's a small establishment that does so much with the room they have. All of the food and drinks are references to video games, which makes it a better experience.Staff: Every staff member was friendly and welcoming. My group had great conversations with them all about our favorite video games, series, and consoles. It was like talking to people who you grew up playing the same games with. It was a very nostalgic experience to reminisce over the great games created. They were professional the entire time, joked with us, made us laugh, and carried great conversations. I have to give the bartender/mixologist her own highlight. She was an absolute artist with her craft of creating cocktails. She was able to make most of the classics with ease and created her own cocktails that had amazing flavor profiles and spunk towards the bars theme. She was super knowledgeable about mixology as well, which thoroughly impressed me. Like I said previously, she has mastered her craft, and I'm excited to try more of her cocktail creations.Mixology Ingredients: The bar has an average selection of ingredients and spirits, yet they maximize the creativity they can with those ingredients. All of the cocktails are video game based and actually look like what they are referencing. It's such a niche experience you have to experience firsthand. I asked the aforementioned bartender if they had green chartreuse (a rare spirit that I love), and even though they did not, she knew what it was, and we had a great conversation about it. There's some off the menu items you can ask for that make the experience even better.Food: The food is also video game themed and creative as well. I enjoyed my tater tot appetizer. It enhanced the bar experience for me. I can't say too much as I only had the one appetizer, but I'd love to try more items.Events: The bartender invited us to a future emo night event that me and my friends and I will attend. She let us try the cocktails on the list for that night, and they were amazing. Can't wait to have them again. They also have a "Roll for a shot" that is a great experience overall. I enjoyed all the creative shots I rolled for, as did my friends. The shots are just as well thought out as the cocktails and taste great.Overall, it was an amazing experience. I can't wait to go back. I wish I lived closer to the bar.“
“Went in hungry and loved everything I had. Got the pretzels, chicken tenders, and the Philly cheese steak. The pretzels were just perfect and the chicken tenders were as good as the bartender said they would be. The Philly cheese steak was wonderful and was just enough to fill me up. Will have to go back for the 10 dollar Wednesday burgers.“
“I've always loved Red Robin. However, the Teriyaki chicken sandwich has gotten so much smaller. The chicken was about half the size it used to be. My husband had the fish and chips, and they were delicious. The fries are always so good.“
“I love the Bull & Bear Roadhouse. I work near the location in East Syracuse and go there frequently to either socialize with others at the bar for lunch, or sit at a table with friends or business associates. I have had many of the items off the menu, from burgers, wraps, salads, to sandwiches and all are amazing! I highly recommend checking them out if you have not been there. You won't be disappointed. #FEEDYOURBELLY“
“We ordered catering for a holiday party from here and everything about our experience was incredible. From the initial phone call with Lisa when she patiently answered my million questions, took the order and emailed the invoice, I knew we made the right choice. The food was delivered at the time we planned by three people who carried it into our house and happily offered to set up the pans with sternos. They were quick, professional and friendly. The food was incredible. We ordered half pans of carnitas and chicken with peppers and onions, yellow rice and black beans. Tortillas, tortilla chips, pico, queso and guac completed our order. Several guests couldn’t make it due to being sick (tis the season) so we had a lot of leftovers which I am enjoying as I write this. The food was a huge hit with our friends and already on the list for next year’s annual party. 100% recommend ordering from this incredibly professional, kind and talented local business. You will not regret it!!Kid-friendliness: When we’ve eaten here our four year old will get a half size quesadilla with cheese!“
“The burgers and fries are delicious, the service is friendly and considering the food is made fresh there is a short wait. Not sure I'll take the family there as it can get pretty pricey for a burger joint ($12 for a basic cheeseburger) but this is the world we live in.“
“Went there before a show at the landmark theater perfect place for that because its right across the street. Food and service was very good. Ordered Buffalo spring rolls for an appetizer that were excellent. Portions were big but not huge, I could not finish my dinner but it was a good lunch the next day.“
“A sweet spot for breakfast, lunch and tea! Friendly staff. Fresh and good food and drinks. Enjoy a dining experience with that NO RUSH feeling enabling you to catch up with friends. A needed restaurant for the area. Wishing them all the best!“
“Although, this Tully's Restaurant opened in Fayetteville in the abandoned Uno's building over a year ago, this was the first chance I've had to eat here. It's just as good as the Fairmount Tully's which I've written about previously in glowing terms. I decided to try something new. I ordered the fried shrimp platter. It included eight large tasty shrimp with a crunchy coating and plenty of cocktail sauce for dipping. The plate also included crispy french fries, and a nice side of coleslaw which cooled the lingering heat from the cocktail sauce after finishing the shrimp. The service was great, but I did notice that the music was played at a higher volume than you would normally expect in a restaurant. I guess whether that's a plus or a minus depends on how much you like the music selection.“
“We went to an event at Barbagallos and we're totally impressed with the food, the service, and a great, private room that was just the right size. The gluten free offerings were so tasty! Antipasto, mixed veggies, potatoes, and sausage with peppers and onions. My favorite was the mixed veggie: cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots - perfectly cooked and not over seasoned. I couldn't eat the fried chicken but it did look crispy and tempting. Drinks included bottomless mimosas and a cola. The mimosas had real orange juice in them. I don't think they were stirred because the top layer was not carbonated but the bottom was. Either way it was delicious. We were able to decorate the room as we wished which was a big plus. Everyone had a wonderful time!“
“We were at the Press Room last Friday. It was awesome. We went to listen to the music at 7:00pm. Had some wings and beers. Wings were great. Lots of good beer to choose from. Nice clean bathroom. Best part was the service. Meadow was great! Excellent bartender with a very good attitude. Will be going back soon.Parking: Only bar downtown with it's own parking lot.“
“Good place for most people. Lunch for 3 with non-alcoholic beverages was about $65. The ziti was a bit too salty for me, but tasty. Those with me said their food (I forget what they had) was good, but could've used more seasoning. Waitress was efficient and friendly. The friendly manager stopped by near the end of our meal and asked how everything was. This was February 12, 2014, in the afternoon.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly.“
“We stopped in just looking for a place to eat and was amazed. They seem to imply they are a craft beer place with pub fare. I'd argue the food is well above pub fare and the beer selection is limited, but with amazing options. Its wonderful what they have done with simply dishes, amazing pretzel, short rib grilled cheese, and the tenderloin skewers app was a full meal in itself.“
“This little hole in the wall dive bar as it might appear from the street is a hidden gem at the oswego county border. We come here on a more than regular basis as the atmosphere and food are somewhat habit forming. The food is always incredible, and we have sampled much of the nenu. The staff is incredible as well! The best server is Jyll (pronounced Jill)! You can always find her positive upbeat attitude as welcoming. Today her hair is pink/purple in color so you'll know who to ask for to get best service! So let's recap...great food especially pizza, Busch Light and awesome service! Get there today!“
“My husband loves 5 Guys. He's disabled so when he wants take out this is what he wants. And I used to love it, too. But not so much recently. Recently when I ordered a little bacon burger I got it home and there was no bacon. Granted, the last time I was there -- Friday -- I told the girl at the counter and she made sure there was bacon. So customer service is still excellent. That said, $30 for two small burgers, one medium fries, and one milk shake is not sustainable for us. So 5 Guys is something I need to save for a special treat and replace his usual take out with other options.“
“We had a party of 15, so there was a little bit of a wait as one could expect. The food was great, it always is, but I can not say enough about our server, Stacey. So friendly, funny, great with the kids, and adults, so efficient. Truly a lovely human being who is fabulous at her job! Thank you Stacey!Kid-friendliness: We didn't realize there was an arcade until after our meal, but that was great. Our server certainly knows how to deal with team meals, she had the parents tell her our players number, then matched up our player, not a single order was incorrect. The kids loved her!“
“It was wee hours during midweek. Was coming back from Colgate U heading towards Syracuse. If you look up "late night" restaurants in town, results are slim. The street parking wasn't very well lit so it was hard to tell where parking was in the evening, but coming in at midnight, it was cozy, clean. We met Kevin, the owner/tender for the night. Perfect spot for a night cap“
“I came here for my husbands birthday and he’s a fan of burgers. It did not disappoint. The fries were really good, the Mac and cheese was great too and the burgers were top tier. The decor is really nice as well. Shakes were probably the best part and would definitely come back here (:“
“We wanted to try something new and chose to visit Zebb's. The food was delicious - from the appetizers, main courses, and the dessert. The only reason I gave the service a four star was because it was super busy, and our waitress didn't have enough time to visit us.“
“I took two of my kids here after shopping in the area. Had not been to a Five Guys burger place before, and the employee who took our order was very helpful in explaining how things worked and helping with the menu. 5 stars! The food took a little bit of time but to be expected as it was busy when we arrived. The burgers and fries were hot and very fresh. Great flavor for the food and my toddler enjoyed it as well. However, the tables or seats, including a high chair we used, had not been wiped down in a while, I ended up wiping everything down with several wipes I had brought, not an emergency but noted. All in all, good, generous amount of food for a fair value. I would come back again. Thanks!Added: other reviews mention free peanuts while you wait, but we were not offered any? Maybe it's not a thing anymore?Kid-friendliness: High chairs and booth style seating, burgers were not difficult for small hands to pick up and eat.Parking: Parking lot is tight because the store shares space side by side with a couple other businesses.Wheelchair accessibility: One level store, with handicap sidewalk ramp, parking, and accessible bathrooms.“
“I have found it hard to find places that have the "best" of anything, but Sam's definitely has the best fried chicken in Syracuse. The fries were seasoned, crispy and delicious but the fried chicken will always be the star of the show here!“
“It was a good place for a quick snack, I got a double cheese triple and it was so good, but I could barely eat it 'cause of how big it was- still good though. I also got a blizzard which was also great, they tipped it iver in front of me and yep--“
“Five Guys hits the spot every time! Their burgers are always juicy and flavorful, but the real stars are the fries. They're perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and they don't skimp on the portion size. The free peanuts are a great touch while you wait for your food, and the chocolate milkshakes are thick, rich, and delicious. The only downside is that the fries can sometimes be a bit too salty. A minor nitpick for an otherwise fantastic restaurant experience!“
“Been by the place so many times, finally made it a point to stop in for dinner. We were so glad we did. Fish sandwich was delicious, perfectly cooked. My wife had the Philly cheese steak sandwich, which she said was awesome. Got to chat with the owner and his son, talking about our visit and the shape of the world these days. Wonderful folks! We will definitely be back…nice place away from all the noise of the main drags.“
“This food truck is cute and has a variety of options. We stopped at a brewery and LB was parked outside. It was sort of cold and LB's chili warmed us up.They have other food options I'd love to try the next time I see this food truck. The owner is very friendly and nice too. I'd recommend ordering food if you see this truck!“
“The big draw for us is that they actually offer gluten-free buns. Last time we visited they also had gluten-free bread, which allowed us to have any of the sandwiches we wanted, but this time they did not so we had to do burgers. The burgers were fine– just normal burgers really. Pretty sure they are using Udi buns which fall apart while you're trying to eat the burger. My recommendation is that they contract with Trader Joe's and use their hamburger buns. You cannot tell the difference between a Trader Joe's gluten-free hamburger bun and a regular bun. In fact, when I host a barbecue, my gluten friendly friends will choose the TJ gluten-free bun over a regular one. Also I think fries should come with it for the price of the burger. For two people, our bill (including a 20% tip for the excellent service) was $50.25 and all we got was two burgers, one side of fries that we shared, and two coffees. We also wish there was an all day breakfast option. The service could not be beat, though. Wish I could remember the name of our excellent waitress! The 1950s Diner ambience is fun.“
“It's your average Burger king .... everything what I was expecting from a Burger king..... Ordering what well service was pretty quick before my food came out. All the food was what I was expecting.French flies hot sandwiches very good.....Parking: Not a large parking lot but big enough for this particular business.....“
“decent burger. gave it 4 stars because I had higher hopes for wegmans, to be honest... was a decent burger, and I won't drive to get one, but if I'm there and hunger hits would go again, lol ?Dietary restrictions: gluten free buns for the win !“
“AWESOME WINGS!!! Pizza is always really great too. The dough is always the right texture. We have been regulars here since they moved into the neighborhood. The owner is one of the sweetest, hardest working men that we have seen in quite a while. Always honored to support a local family “
“Not only have I worked at Applebee's but me and my family have ate there nemourous times. I love the food there they have a wide variety of items on there menu. They have a very good seasonal menu and there very fair for there price points. I would definitely recommend taking your family out for dinner there or if your looking for a good place to have a cold beer and catch the game on Sunday Applebee's is were you would wanna be.“
