Got the quesabirria con consume & the Al Pastor tacos. Quesabirria was solid but the Al Pastor was truly a standout. Some of the best I’ve ever had, and I lived in San Diego for a couple years.

Great drinks, only minor complaint was that the drinks didn’t have a price on the menu, but nothing ended up being excessive.

“Zhumi is a hidden gem. This small unsuspecting storefront in Whitestone revealed itself to be a welcoming environment for superb homemade Mexican food. I highly suggest the tacos and mulitas done with handmade tortillas. Everything we tried was delicious, down to the flan and horchata. Family operation. Everyone was very kind. Great service. Attentive staff, fast service and good food. The space is kind of small and they were really busy but we went on a Sunday at around 1pm. We did not make a reservation but when we arrived we were told someone was a no show and we were seated immediately.“

“Second time ordering take-out from here. They’re really friendly and have great service, but it’s not going to become my next favorite unfortunately. Food was okay, ordered cheese birria tacos which I thought would be cheese crusted rather than just some shredded cheese tossed inside.
The birria consome was great though! I think it was missing some salt but when combined with the tacos (as it should be) it was a perfect combination.

The place is small though, not a lot of seating space and the space that is available is a bit tight, so that ruins a bit of the atmosphere for me. But, for takeout nearby, I think it’s in the right neighborhood and deserves its round of applause.“

“I’m a first-time visitor here. I came with a friend for some food and drinks. The decor is bright and cheerful. Atmosphere is chill. I must say that the food was definitely authentic. The enchiladas verdes were on point. Spicy but delicious. I also had a coconut margarita, tasty and not overpowering. The staff was very nice and very attentive to our table. “I’m Mexican and very critical of Mexican food outside of Mexico. To start, servers Carlos and Paulina were super friendly, welcoming and attentive. First item on the table? Drinks and house chips. I ordered Jamaica water like I never seen before and the taste yuuuumm. Presentation was key. Chips were super crispy almost like real toasted tortillas (maybe they were) and instead of your typical salsa or pico de gallo, they were paired with a cheese dip with a little twist of hot pepper. Simply delicious. Don’t want to tire anyone but trust me when I say TOTALLY worth it and very reasonable prices and the decor of the place… so so nice. A true gem and highly recommended..“

“Taco Tuesdays are great value at $3 or $4 a taco. My fave one is chicharron - very crispy and a nice dollop of guac on top. However, I wasn’t impressed with their al pastor or fish tacos. I was also confused because the outdoor signage and website indicate that guac is $7 all day on Tuesdays but my waitress told me it is only during HH.“

“My friend nd I wanted Birria tacos so we found this restaurant off of TikTok. I stood in the car while he got the food but when he came back with the food he had a huge smile on his face. He said the costumer service was amazing and the lady that served him (I’m not sure of her name but she was an older lady) was very nice to him. She even gave us an extra free water. Not to mention the birria tacos were unbelievably delicious!! It was packed with the birria meat and the consume to go with it was so yummy. Amazing food and 10/10 experience.“
