“First time going, I was invited to a birthday gathering. I’m a Puerto Rican woman, The people were great. The DJ was incredible. The Crowd, I love because it was the older crowd.(with younger Group too) I’m a 69 year old woman (don’t look it) loved how everyone was dressed, the restaurant Was very pleasant , the host walked around greeting and talking and asking “Is everything OK?”. MY COMPLAINT IS !!!!
They should have a special on the drinks. I thought it was very very expensive. I did not drink at all because I refuse to pay what they were asking for. The Manager ! should have a special for the ladies between (8pm n 9:30) free or 1/2 The Price !“

“We held a family fun night in their back room this weekend, about 30 people. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!! Thank you Amy & Jenny for such great bartending & waitressing!! Food was delicious, TVs for those wanting to watch the games, private bathroom, space for little kids to roam around- would definitely book here again!“

“My husband and I love DOX. Not only do we love the atmosphere, the view, the food, and drinks but what we love the most are the staff! I wish I knew everyone's name because I would give them all a shout out. Our server, whom we have followed wherever she goes (that is probably one of the main reasons we frequent DOX now that I am thinking about it), Dana, is super! She is attentive and genuinely cares about her customers. She remembers our names, what we like to drink, and what we usually order for food. Dana makes us feel welcome every time we see her, with a smile on her face. Thank you Dana for always making us feel at home at DOX! Great job!“

“The best Asian Bistro in town! I went for happy hour and the staff was so friendly. I had the soup dumplings and fresh sushi. Service was quick and easy. I highly recommend. The largest party room I’ve ever seen. I asked the manager and he said you can project anything on the screen on the wall. I will book my next event here.“

“The Bar tenders and the owner are always very hospitable and welcoming- even to newcomers. It is a quintessential community institution - where even if you are new to the village, you will be made to feel at home! All are welcomed - there are board games and always sports on multiple TVs- I have been coming to this establishment through several different owners and name changes- but the current owner is the best by far!“

“Since moving back from Detroit to New York I’ve been to this great bar several times. The atmosphere is great. The bartenders are wonderful including Mel, Dani, Christina, Mark, Vinnie and Mike. The Local Ale House is a great place to meet friends, listen to great music on the jukebox and it is a very clean and classy place to enjoy. I highly recommend this great pub to anybody of any age group. 👍“

“First time here and I can't wait to go back. We sat outdoors and admired the picturesque surroundings. It was pretty busy for lunchtime on a Thursday. My friend ordered the poke salad and I ordered the tuna tacos, which were very delicious and just the right amount. Service was quick and friendly. I was able to get a parking spot in the small lot and my friend parked in the small lot across the street -- someone sitting outside the lot tells you where to park. All in all, I am very impressed with this restaurant. The prices might be on the high side, but you can order the reasonably priced dishes like we did and be extremely satisfied.

Jeff had the turkey burger and I had the lobster roll I asked if he wanted to split our meals but he liked his too much lol I had to eat most of the lobster off the top so I could eat it like a sandwich Took the picture after I ate a good portion off the top Mark and his crew are the best! “I came here about a week ago for the first time with my boyfriend and a few friends just to hang out and catch up. Loved the pool tables and had strong drinks. The bartender, I believe her name was Gianna, was very friendly and provided great service! Overall, it was a great experience and definitely will be coming back. Hope to see her again!“

“Great bar! Love going there. Excellent bartenders and they have fantastic events and parties. And since they bought DiMaggios next door the food has taken a step up from their normally great food and specials. The place looks really nice, too! The people who go there are wonderful... stop in for a drink and food. You will not be disappointed and don't forget your darts.“
“Me and my wife went for the Super Bowl and the food was awesome the only thing that surpassed the food was the warmth and friendliness of the owners and staff as well as fellow patrons. I highly recommend this place for anyone who want to have a great night out.“
“What a beautiful transformation of a 50 year old bar. Still a bit of work to do but coming along beautifully. Can’t beat the drink prices. Very chill, mellow spot. Pool table available at no cost. Bar tenders are perfectly crazy and attentive. Mature crowd with never ending jokes flying around.

“Came to JP’s on a whim. Had just moved here to a Oceanside from Miami a few days ago. The place was kind of empty but we were pleasantly greeted by Chris who gave us great service and was quite funny. A great bartender for sure, I would come back here just for him. The drinks are very well priced compared to home. Overall a great little local spot. Thank you Chris!“
