“My boss said the best pernil on Long Island is Lucas Dominican on Grand Ave in Baldwin. If you have any stops there, swing by and get yourself a large serving, white rice, smothered in pork gravy.

“I ordered lemon juice with oatmeal, and they sent me oatmeal with orange. In addition, the juice flavor was from a packet, the hot dogs had very little meat, and the cabbage was unseasoned. Please consider your customers because we pay for this. You need to provide better customer service. Thank you.“

“Whenever I want some delicious food, I have to stop in here!!! Their chicharrones, beans, white rice with sweet plantains with some delicious pernil and a jarrito, are amazing! The girls are really sweet too.

“Placed a catering order and the food was AMAZING! The portions were perfect, and the food was packed well. The pernil and chicken had great flavor. They also gave us plenty of sauces including a garlic sauce container which was a hit. Pricing is very fair for the portions. We'll definitely be ordering again!“

“This place is amazing. The food is delicious. The prices are off the chart. I paid only $11.50 for my lunch. It should be a sin to charge these wonderful prices if the prices elsewhere are justified... By me, Buen Sabor in Forest Hills overcharges for their lunches and dishes overall. They don't pile up the food like they do here. Anyway, the pile up the dishes here. Whenever I am 20mins out when in Long Island, I will stop here for a great lunch“
“The place was nice, the service was good, and it would have been nice to see the menu with the prices. Our order changed from $28 to $42 dollars and we were not too happy about that. It's okay. We may come back and we need to save money for that. The place felt more like a bar.“

“This is my go-to spot, not only because it's close to home, but because the food is delicious. I cook almost everyday at home, but on days when I am not in the mood, this is where I go. Pernil is always good, as is their pollo guisado, carne guisada, and baked chicken. Mangu is on point if you make it for breakfast. Good portions.“

This place is absolutely worth the drive — we live almost 40 minutes away, and we still make the trip just for their food! Every dish we’ve tried tastes homemade, full of authentic Dominican flavor and served in generous portions.

“I go to this restaurant whenever I come to Farrock to get my hair cut usually. Since I've been coming I've stuck to the shrimp mofongo which I can say is extremely good. This past Sunday I decided to switch it up and try the red snapper and boy was I impressed! They have some of the best Spanish food I've ever tasted.“

“Picked up a small pernil/roast pork lunch special with yellow rice and red beans. The food was delicious. It was$13.50 for the lunch special. Only thing was they didn't have any homemade fresh garlic sauce. Other than good service, good food.“
