“My boss said the best pernil on Long Island is Lucas Dominican on Grand Ave in Baldwin. If you have any stops there, swing by and get yourself a large serving, white rice, smothered in pork gravy.

“Placed a catering order and the food was AMAZING! The portions were perfect, and the food was packed well. The pernil and chicken had great flavor. They also gave us plenty of sauces including a garlic sauce container which was a hit. Pricing is very fair for the portions. We'll definitely be ordering again!“

“I go here often and buy the family combo. Boneless fried chicken is good and onion steak. You get a very large portion of food for the price I believe is worth it. The second time I was at this location I was charged twice maybe the person who took my payment was unexpirienced with the payment machine. Nevertheless I dispute the double charge with my cc company. Overall the food is 4 stars the service is 3 stars they could be better organized.“

We were pleasantly pleased to find the crowd coming through was a sign that everyone knew about the experience we were about to have. I was greeted with a smile as my wife found us a seat and the host took my order. I told her we'd be staying and she invited me to have a seat, as she would serve our meal. “This is my go-to spot, not only because it's close to home, but because the food is delicious. I cook almost everyday at home, but on days when I am not in the mood, this is where I go. Pernil is always good, as is their pollo guisado, carne guisada, and baked chicken. Mangu is on point if you make it for breakfast. Good portions.“

“I go to this restaurant whenever I come to Farrock to get my hair cut usually. Since I've been coming I've stuck to the shrimp mofongo which I can say is extremely good. This past Sunday I decided to switch it up and try the red snapper and boy was I impressed! They have some of the best Spanish food I've ever tasted.“
