“It was my first time here tonight. OMGG I couldn't believe the sign when I walked in the door. first of all, two slices of pizza and a fountain soda for $5. I even commented how I haven't seen those prices since high school over 20 years ago LOL. it was $21 for four specialty slices and two fountain sodas. you cannot beat it! The staff was very friendly. place was clean, and the food was excellent. I said to my boyfriend if I had one complaint. it was that it had too much meat on the pizza if you could believe that LOL. it was over the top! I almost dare you to eat two slices of chicken bacon ranch LOL. keep up the good work guys. Best pizza around”

“After noticing how many reviews are either poor or downright bad I felt the need to stick up for this place! Yes - the atmosphere is a bit rough as they only do takeout and Covid definitely smacked this place upside down just like many other restaurants BUT this has been my favorite place to buy Chinese food for years! I love the service and I always choose this place to order General Tsos over multiple places in Middletown and the surrounding areas.”

“We have eaten here many times and love it so much! The ingredients are super fresh, the flavors and combinations are expertly put together, and the owner is a true showman who clearly loves the food and sharing it with the community. The danish dog is my favorite, and my husband loves the Italian sausage with onions. Even the basic chili dog is better than average, and his inventive sauces add so much flavor to the dogs that they can’t be replicated anywhere else. The building is small and it’s crowded and dingy and sometimes smoky inside, but we truly feel that it adds to the charm and makes the experience even more unique. Just go - you’ll be so glad you did!”

“As someone grew up in Taiwan I can say this Taiwanese restaurant/ cafe brought back a lot of my great childhood memories in Taiwan. The beef noodle soup here is great. The boba tea here is phenomenal. The hand made pineapple cake is one of the best pineapple cakes I have ever had. It’s for real that good. This coming from someone that has been eating pineapple cakes growing up.

“I was on my way to work and I thought I would order pizza from Benny's. I was not ready to have it so I told her I would need a delayed delivery. She took my name number and the time I wanted it delivered. While I was at work I was wondering if they would forget but no they did not. Excellent Pizza. I ordered a large pepperoni and green pepper pie. The Taste is awesome really good. I have been so tired of ordering from the same old places all the time. I'm really happy that Benny's is there and I'll be ordering from them frequently. Awesome job Benny's.”

“Wonderful place wonderful space beautiful circular tap room. Nice brutalist with incredibly detailed and exquisite descriptions. They don’t have flights but you can get 4 ounce pores of several different bruise so it’s similar to having a flight plus they have smoked wings, barbecue brisket and pulled pork and a variety of other Tantalizing menu items. Definitely worth a try if you’re in Middletown. Drop your car off at the dealership (like I did.( The deal dealership provides a ride over from the dealership So you can get lunch and then call you and come get you after your car is done! Definitely worth the trip!”

“Can't beat this place, guys in the food truck are aces and the food is great, had the Philly and a couple of dogs wife had a burger which was really good. Bartenders are fast with your order and incredibly friendly, grabbed a bench for our food on the lawn and the owner John came by in an atv and asked if we would like him to start up a fire for us in a pit nearby, guy is a gem to talk to and full of information about the surrounding area. Place is relatively inexpensive for what you get (especially if you are used to NYC prices for everything) worth the trip up from the boroughs. Kid and dog friendly too. Live music was an added bonus.”

“Ordered for pick up & when I got there, 2 customers were waiting at the p/u area and 2 were waiting to order. So not crazy busy for a Sunday morning at 10:30. Customers ordering at the register were waited on promptly. The other couple and I were not even acknowledged. Other to go orders were packed up and while there were 3 people we could tell were working up front only 1 stayed up front to pack another order- while the 3 of us were still standing there waiting for our orders which were sitting on the back counter, ready. Not on the pick up counter. It took me speaking up to even be noticed. Surely enough that was my order that had been sitting there the whole time. And finally the other couple got theirs as well. Please acknowledged when someone is standing there, on either side. Kindly tell the other person you'll be with them shortly. Then everyone feels seen and their food doesn't get cold while hanging out unable to be picked up.

Also, unless you're across the street and able to see the awning, it's not really easy to see your shop. No signage on the front door if coming from New Middletown direction on the same side of the street.”

“This cafe offers a variety of hot tea, cold teas, boba tea, lattes and coffees. It’s clean, modern, and cozy inside. You can place your order using a kiosk system, allowing you to browse through selections and choose your own custom drink. They had seasonal drinks for Fall like pumpkin and chai flavors. I saw a couple people on their laptops , perhaps working. I did not happen to see WiFi. But maybe I overlooked it or the staff may have the info for that. The drinks were prepared deliciously and served in to-go cups. I was hoping for a mug, and also some small pastry to pair with our drinks but they did not have any. But those are small details. The to-go cup did allow my girlfriend and I to take our drinks and stroll around North Street to enjoy the sunshine. We would definitely go back!”

“What a wonderful find! We are from NYC and have a home in the Catskills, we found Giovanni’s by chance a few years ago and have been coming here ever since. In the Summer they open the outdoor garden for dining and on Wednesday night Giovanni makes amazing personal pizza’s to order from his brick oven, not only great pizza but entertaining to watch Giovanni at work. We are never disappointed in the food or portions, I live his veal parmigiana, tender, not too cheesy and melts in your mouth. The mussels marinara are amazing served with garlic bread for sopping! The lasagne is great as well, meaty in a wonderful tomato sauce. We have never been disappointed! Great service as well. The atmosphere is real mountain lodge, cozy and informal. Plenty of parking outside. The best part is the price, dinner for 4, with wine/ drinks, about $35/ person, very reasonable.”

“Went there for my wife's birthday dinner it was 4 of us my wife and my friends wife had prime rib I had chicken Sorrento and my friend had a huge steak and fries plus a calamari app plus we had 4 drinks and the wife took home a piece of cake for later all of us took food home portions were huge food was great service was great our waitress was Alicia she was awsome and we git the bill and it was only $155 total will definitely be going there again 😀”

“We were visiting family in the surrounding area. It was our first time in the Middletown area and before we went we had the impression of it being kind of a backwoods small town without much going on. Therefore, I have to say that finding this restaurant was a really big surprise. Not only were the food and service great but it was quite authentic and not your typical Americanized Mexican food. I don’t claim to be a Mexican food expert but I have had many business trips to Mexico. The food they served was definitely freshly made. Not overly cheezed up like most other “Mexican” restaurants across the US. The lady was also very friendly.

We ordered all different flavors of their agua fresca in large cup size, and they came in these huge soup takeout containers 😄 and they tasted so good.”
