Given the name (bees knees), I was surprised to learn they aren’t stocked with Barr Hill Gin from Vermont which is made from honey. Strongly recommend the manager offered Bar Hill Gin! “Sandbar Rooftop is a great, low key rooftop in the Fashion District. It is currently still a hidden gem and never crowded, and on the rooftop of the Hilton Hotel. There are a lot of seating options- it's quite a large space, and the decor is very cute and picture worthy. They have a small cocktail selection and I do wish that they had more considering it is a rooftop bar, but I always like what I order. They also have a small food menu, but I have yet to try anything from it. Prices are super reasonable for a rooftop in the area, and I hope it stays that way. Great place for a summer afternoon!“

“The food was really good, the drinks were strong. We went during the happy hour which was nice. It starts at 4:00 p.m. At least at this time when we went. I like how they have the happy hour deal which is whatever they have on the menu and half off on the drinks. Love our time so much, My friends and I are celebrating another birthday there again.“

From the moment my friend and I arrived, we were greeted with a warm smile by the maître d’, setting the tone for a truly special evening. The ambience is vibrant yet calm, with a stylish outdoor patio that adds a refreshing touch of open air and relaxation.
Sofia, our server, was absolutely phenomenal—polite, well-mannered, friendly, and incredibly thoughtful. She helped me choose the perfect drink, even bringing a wine sample that turned out to be a hit. Her descriptions were spot-on and made the decision effortless.
The food was outstanding. My friend’s Pre-Fix dinner was beautifully presented—her shrimp dish looked like a work of art, and the lime pie was perfectly balanced with just the right touch of sweetness and acidity. Sofia’s explanation of the chicken’s subtle sweetness was accurate and made the dish even more enjoyable.
Now, about the burger—I've had burgers all over, but this one was next-level. Cooked well-done (just how I like it), yet still moist and packed with flavor. The layers of pickled onions, Gruyère cheese, and sauce were absolute perfection.
Sofia’s attentiveness and charisma added a magical touch to our evening before heading to a Broadway show. Her professionalism and enthusiasm made our experience truly memorable. “I went to Velvet room with a few friends to celebrate a retirement. The ambience was beautiful and elegant. The wing appetizers with Garlic Parmesan and the BBQ were crispy, saucy and delicious. I had the pasta with shrimp which was also delicious. The staff was sweet and attentive. The owner is down to Earth, kind and accommodated us with a cake and board sign for our friend who was the guest of honor. My party of 5 had a great time. The music was also great. The drinks were good. I had a mango lemon drop which had a good kick and tasted good. I would return and recommend whoever reads this to drop by!“

“The vibe was really nice! When we got there yesterday, the tables were empty, so we didn’t have to wait at all. First off, HUGE thanks to Sofia and Silina for the amazing service everything was just perfect.
The food honestly felt like art. The portions were super generous, so you can easily split each dish between 2–3 people. We ordered the Eden salad, Eden burgers, pasta carbonara, I think filet mignon, mix of fruits, lava cake, and a few drinks.
Everything was fantastic, shoutout to the chef! I don’t know who was working in the kitchen yesterday, but even though he/she were alone, everything came out fast and tasted incredible. No words. Just thank you to all of you!

Every single staff member here is amazing. Franck is a ROCKSTAR and made our meal lovely.

In terms of food, the dip sampler platter was so good and came with endless bread. Patatas bravas, salad verde, and beef kebabs were all perfectly seasoned. The cocktails we had (Neon Lights and Amaro Sour) were both delicious.

We also had a food allergy (dairy free) in our group and staff was fantastic with helping us order and flagging any sauces she needed to avoid.“
