“I will admit I have been slacking on my reviews since I went back-to-back on vacation three times. This local pizza place is a hidden gem that was introduced to us by my Aunt Deborah (Debbie) Langer, who always orders pizza here for my cousins. They have been ordering from here for well over five years. I figured I should give this place a chance since my aunt spoke highly of it. Surely enough, this pizza place did not disappoint. In fact, we have made it our favorite pizza place to enjoy as well. The owners and staff are remarkably generous! They seem to also get along so well with their regular customers that it is like their recurring customers become a part of their family. It is amazing to see this hospitality and kindness in a restaurant setting. I personally love the creativity of this restaurant and how every time I come there is a new type of pizza pie or new menu item. It is truly unique that they take ambition to be brave, creative, and test out new food items. Keep up the awesome work and looking forward to the next time I eat in or order out!“

“BEST pizza & Italian dishes in Rockland, hands down! I have going there for over 25 years and NEVER had a disappointing meal. EVERYTHING is GREAT. Soups, pizza, appetizers and main dishes all prepared fresh. The sauce is the best I have tasted ANYWHERE. I have taken many friends there and never had a complaint! Laidback staff let you eat im peace but if you need anything they are right at your table.“

Tony is super friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The service is quick, the staff is great, and the pizza is absolutely delicious — thin crust, perfectly cooked, and tastes just like classic New York City pizza. They even have an extra-large 18-inch pie, which is a huge plus.

Steak was cooked medium rare, tender, and delicious, and the mushrooms were bursting with flavor. Waitress Ersa gave us great recommendations and was professional and courteous. “Hi, just wanted to say. How great this place is. I ordered on Satuday. They forgot to add my 2 chicken empanadas to my pick up oder. I called and left a message but they were closed. I called on Monday spoke to Stepanie and she was very apologetic. She suggested i pick them up. Which I did. Long story short. They replaced it with 4 empanadas. Great customer service. “We stopped here while traveling from RI to PA and WOW are we glad we did. We needed a place to accommodate our small pup so we stopped to ask if they had outdoor seating. They didn’t but they created it by carrying a table and chairs outside for us - talk about customer service! Nick was such a fantastic host - setting us up, providing exceptional service and great conversation! I also can’t forget to mention how incredible the pizza and chicken roll were! “Martio's is my go-to pizza spot. Whenever we have family visiting, it’s a must-stop so they can experience some truly fantastic pizza. The dough is perfect, with just the right amount of crust. The sauce hits all the right notes, and the pizza is loaded with cheesy goodness. If I had to choose between Martio's and any other pizza in the world, I’d choose Martio's without hesitation.

“My sister CJ treated me to a birthday lunch on Tues, Aug 20,2924. The owner graciously greeted us & prepared a delicious lunch which incl. fried calamari appetizer- light and delicate flavor. Veal Enza and my dish, a layered veal, prosciutto, thinly sliced eggplant and fresh mozzarella in a light sherry sauce. Portions were generous allowing us to bring home a treat for later in the day. The restaurant is comfortably cozy in size - about 12 tables, spotlessly clean and a super clean bathroom and kitchen. I know that might sound funny but as someone once in the culinary field I consider it a reflection of your work . Santo’s kitchen is fresh smelling, no odor of left over grease- his counters were shiny and floors clear. Since it was not yet dinner time I told him my background & asked to see his kitchen. It amazed me! If you dine at Enza’s you know your food is fresh, owner keeps it clean and his prices are reasonable. Great spot!

“Our school football team was visiting Waldwick HS yesterday. I called Mangia as it was the closest high school. The owner Freddie answered the phone. He was so helpful! He even gave me his personal cell number. We ordered 14 pies to be delivered to the parking lot to feed all our JV Football players and cheer leaders. “I’ve loved Slices for years now. Typically go with the chicken parm sub - always enough for two meals! Tonight I tried the new PINWHEELS - I think this is a new invention of Isaac’s. Basically it’s a pizza dough roll with cheese and a pizza topping - I had one spinach pinwheel and one pepperoni. And each pinwheel comes with a generous side car of tomato sauce. The bottom of the pinwheel is really crispy - somewhat akin to a deep dish pizza. Hard to describe! Highly recommend. Chef’s kiss!“

“Was hearing how great their pizza and food was, so figured I’d start with their pizza. Was a bit disappointed that they only had about 6 pizza choices for a slice at the busy lunchtime hour. Opted for a regular and one that had what looked like mozzarella and another cheese. Both were huge slices, sauce is nicely sweet, crust is thin and crisp (in my opinion….as it should be). Wish they left the pizza in the oven a bit longer to fully melt the cheese so it didn’t pull off in one big piece. Pizza definitely delivered on taste, but I found them both very oily (do they drizzle olive oil on top?) and a bit salty for my taste. This would not stop me from trying their other food items as well as a specialty pizza. As previously mentioned staff is helpful and accommodating.“

“After finishing the kids' new school registration, we stopped by this pizza place for lunch. It was probably the first lunch I'd ever had in this neighborhood. We'd just finalized the house contract, so I'd taken a bus from a hotel in New York City to get here early in the morning.

Both my kids and I wanted a slice of Margherita pizza. But they only had two slices left! I was about to just order something else. But a kitchen staff member who was about to take a break came back in and made us a pizza. They willingly baked a whole new pizza just for one slice of Margherita. That pizza was so delicious, I still can't forget the taste of that Margherita. We were hungry and tired, but it tasted even better because of the staff's kindness in baking a fresh pizza just for us, for that one slice.

Since then, we've become regulars here and still order the Margherita pizza. And honestly, the pizza is truly delicious. It's not just because we feel grateful that we keep coming back.“
