“The ambiance is stylish and comfortable, and the dishes are exquisite? We chose the ?$100 pp Omakase for 2 and also ordered a few appetizers and nigiri a la carte. The appetizers include a steamed egg—soft and smooth, with the sauce flavor just right—you can order it with added Uni.Since every ingredient was so fresh and sweet, we couldn't resist ordering more scallop, uni, and wagyu nigiri to satisfy our cravings~The cocktails were fruity and very professionally made?. The dessert's cheesecake has sesame flavor?Check this place out‼️“

“Found an amazing hidden gem in Astoria, Queens! It’s a secret speakeasy tucked away at the back of a poke shop. The staff and owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We tried their 14-course omakase with sake for $98 per person, and also added the optional uni ikura don for $25. The quality of the fish blew us away - so fresh, flavorful, and delicious! Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the neighborhood.“

“Great lil Izakaya! The staff are extremely friendly and hospitalable, the food is delicious, the portion sizes are very generous, and a combination can be made if asked in advance.Definitely get the cheese corn and put some sweet soy sauce on it... And ask for the sweet and spicy sauce on the side, it makes any dish 50 times better lol. There's two other locations in New York, apparently one is in Manhattan, I'm not a local so I can't remember where the other location is... Either way I'm coming back to the Flushing location as I just really love the atmosphere, the location, and the staff...If you see the owner, tell them that the Black nerdy girl from Mississauga recommended the place and said to say hi ?“

“Ginza Don is a hidden gem in Flushing's Golden Mall, offering a delightful teppanyaki-style Japanese donburi experience. I started with the flavorful Prawn tempura appetizer for $6.99, which was perfectly cooked and crispy. For the main course, I indulged in the Teriyaki Chicken and Thinly Sliced Pork Belly Donburi for $15.99 and the Grilled Eel Donburi for $22.99. Every dish was fresh, delicious, and prepared with care right before my eyes in their open-view kitchen. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was clean and cool, with plenty of tables available for diners. I highly recommend Ginza Don for anyone looking for a tasty and authentic Japanese meal in Flushing!“

“A really cute mom-and-pop Japanese restaurant in LIC/Astoria. Came in for lunch and absolutely loved the vibes here❣️They have a very straight-forward lunch menu and I thought the pricing was so good given the quality and the portion of everything. We got the Sashimi+Sushi set and the Ramen+Sushi set and it was such a satisfying meal! Would definitely like to return :)“

“This has been on my list to try for a while. My only regret was not coming sooner and devouring the food before taking pics! Amazing food and service. Portions are generous and worth it. We ordered a bunch of different dishes from spicy rice cake to soup dumplings to triangle balls. 10/10 chefs kiss. Also, shout out to the young lady server. She was great and attentive! Will be coming back soon <3“

“Great little spot! A Dimond in the rough here. Walk in, and 2 things right off the bat will impress you. The place is very clean, and the smell is of fresh sushi. There Alot of so-called sushi restaurants that may mask the sushi smells or just not try and come off of bad fish. This shop is not one to mask anything they are doing a great job of keeping the food fresh on a daily ? basis. Based on smell and cleanliness alone, they get 5 stars! The lemonade is made fresh and squeezed right in front of you, but ... yes, there's a small, but here, ask for extra sugar. You will thank me later. I'll be going back again very soon.“

“I ordered delivery through Uber eats last night and I was definitely impressed with presentation of food.. chirashi was beautifully presented as you can see in the picture and fishes were very fresh.. they could provide bit more rice though.. this is the smallest rice I ever seen in chirashi. Also, I ordered spicy salmon maki but they sent regular salmon maki which wasn't a huge deal but still bit disappointed.“

“We really enjoyed Oko. We ordered omakase, which is fairly expensive but very enjoyable- some courses were even outstanding. The drinks were excellent. The service was very good- our server explained each course as it was served. As much as we enjoyed the multiple sushi courses, we would have liked a sampling of a hand roll and sashimi. The tables close together and somewhat cramped. Understandable, given the small space.“

“Great price for omakase, after taxes and tips was 180 ish for 18 courses. All the servers were polite and nice. The atmosphere was ehh, we came with 12 people so we thought it will be more private but they also have regular dinner tables set up in the same room as omakase. Other than that everything was fresh and a very decent price for what I wasserved.“

“I love Minato for us in the Bronx ✨It’s a calm low key gem..I really enjoyed the outdoor backyard seating with the wind chimes and relaxing music playing through the whole room.Food: The rolls are good with a beautiful presentation, the mussels soup was absolutely amazing!(I ordered one to go )The shrimp shumai were tasty and the shrimp tempura were such a great crunch. ( just wish we had 2 more )The lychee Pana cotta was such a creamy dessert, simple and lightly sweetened . The mochi ice cream and the red bean paste were different.. not my type of dessert but not bad!The drinks were moderate but delicious and the bartender is super humble ✨?“

“I visited Tiga sushi restaurant this past weekend and was delighted by the excellent food. Making a reservation at the sushi bar, I arrived early but felt a bit rushed after receiving my meal. Despite a 20-25 minute wait for my appetizer and entrée, I thoroughly enjoyed them. However, when I wanted to order another item, I was informed about another reservation taking my seat soon. While I appreciated the courtesy call to inform me about an earlier table availability, arriving earlier led to feeling rushed to finish my meal in just 45 minutes. Despite the rush, I would return for the fantastic food, but I hope for a more relaxed dining experience next time.“

“A great addition to the neighborhood! Was super excited to have my first omakase experience since after my 2nd pregnancy without the hassle of traveling to the city. I was prepared and made sure I didn’t eat too much before hand since we did the 17 piece set.Chef Sam was a master at his craft! And he was super sweet! Each piece was distinctly garnished. I’ve had experiences where during a bigger course set .. the sushi would start tasting the same after like 12 pieces but not here!!Super great value too as I’ve had more pricey omakase in the city that’s up to par with this place. The only con I’d say is that on open table , it said it’ll be a 1 hr experience but it took 2 hours . They explained that Sundays are usually the only day with one chef as it’s more quiet but it’s just so happen that this particular Sunday was busy !“

“This was such a fun experience! I've never been to a BBQ where you cook your own food but I loved how interactive it was. All of the meats were seasoned so well! The noise was a little bit on the louder side as there's no separation between the booths. Also the soda gun stopped working while there so they couldn't make our drinks but Cameron, our waiter, made a suggestion for yuzu sake based on the drink I had chosen. It was amazing!! I would definitely come back and choose my own foods next time but choosing a course helped alleviate the stress of it being my boyfriend and I's first time. Now we know what meats we like and would get again versus the stuff we weren't as much of a fan of.“

“Had omakase for my birthday with my wife recently and I was can 1000% say it was the best meal I have ever eaten in my 44 years. I spent 25 years in high end seafood, (wholesale, retail, private chef, and catering) and was blown away by the quality of the fish! The chef was masterful as he balanced every single course (in had the 16) to perfection. He was incredibly skilled and a wonderful artist. The selection of fish from Japan was amazing. He explained every course as he served us. This place is a gem. I have eaten at just about every single sushi restaurant around and on see no reason to go anywhere else anymore. The place is clean and beautiful, the owner and staff were friendly and very interactive. The preparation and care that went into everyone was second to none. If you enjoy the finest sushi, please don't hesitate and go! And the only way to go is omakase“

“Listen flushing is a huge place but amazing food options are not, this place is a Gem. When i saw the set up it reminded me of a place i went to in Japan sitting around the bar killing a bowl of miso ramen ( that i need to try next) and they have amazing small bites if your on the go like me. This place is now my go to spot. Last but not least the service is unmatched as soon as you come the door you are greeted with a smile even if your just walking past which i love“

“Delicious. We are fourteen months in Riverdale, and have been going to the Japanese place across the street ("Palace" is part of its name) but friends told us about Aoyu, and after tonight's dinner we are converted. Fresh ingredients, full of flavor: even the dinner salad, usually a mundane dish of iceberg lettuce, one grape tomato, and orange dressing, was full of fresh greens and a subtle dressing. Edamane: also fresh and salty. I ordered a seared salmon roll and was delighted by the freshness of the fish. My wife loved her salmon teriyaki, a huge portion; my chicken katsu was crisp, not greasy, and so generous. Red bean ice cream and we were done. A very clean place, well-lit, and delightfully friendly young waitstaff. Five stars, no. How about fifty?“

“I took my girlfriend here on a whim, she just wanted sushi. Ended up being the best sushi she’s had in Queens. The $60 omakase was so good we actually went back maybe a week later, which is really saying something cause we always try to go somewhere different. If you’re looking for a good meal at a place that doesn’t get crazy busy in the Astoria area - definitely worth it. “I've driven past this unassuming place hundreds of times and I've been dying to try it and I FINALLY DID! I was pleasantly surprised at how fantastic everything was, including the service--and they even gave us a sushi roll on the house. Thank you! I wanted to try something different so we ordered a Hudson roll that comes without rice and it was too good. One of the best. Also ordered a roll that had bulgogi beef on-top, wow so savory and delicious. I think it was called the Hinode something...I know that's not very helpful--and it seemed like they were trying it out on the menu because they asked how we liked it. We loved it. The place is cute and small, service is speedy and you can see the chefs preparing the rolls. I think this sushi spot sets itself apart from the rest and has its own unique twist that I appreciate. I am coming back here for sure.“

“This location is near my place and I always see it when I pass by. Tonight I felt like stopping by to pick an order to go. The place looks a cool spot to hang with friends and family and super clean and helpful. I skimmed thru the menu quick and the Karaage Curry caught my eye since it was a curry dish !!! I must say the food was good! However, it was a big disappointment in which there was no curry ..? Just some sweet sauce drizzled on the chicken katsu. I was really looking forward to this dish/my dinner but the curry was a no show! Kindly can do better with this dish by actually adding the curry sauce!!“

“I didn’t realize that there were two DIFFERENT restaurants in the same building. Their decor is also pretty similar with all the One Piece “WANTED” poster.. don’t be like me and if you’re meeting people for ramen IT’S ON THE GROUND FLOOR. Izakaya (I was sitting up there reading their menu for a bit lol) has yakitori and Japanese hot pot.I came here with my fam and kiddo on a Friday night. We were able to get a table no problem and there were two different servers manning the restaurant. They were so friendly with our toddler, allowed us to walk around with her so she wouldn’t get fussy during our meal, and were just fantastic. The ramen wasn’t the best I’ve ever had BUT for the price per bowl it’s definitely worth it. We also got a couple of apps which were delicious as well. The best one we ordered, hands down, had to be the agedashi tofu. Usually at other restaurants I’d get a couple small square blocks of fried tofu and some sauce. Here, you get a bunch of bonito flakes that added that extra umami flavor, scallions, and pickled radish. Delish! We were surprised with mochi ice cream on the house at the end of the meal and if that wasn’t a sweet enough deal, if you pay with cash you have an 8% discount. It was definitely one of my family cheaper dinner nights out and we’ll be back again!“

“Best hidden gem at Pelham. My family and I come here at least twice every week. Every time we come here, we are always greeted by smiles of the waitress and feel so welcomed. They talk to us like we are friends and always have a good time here. When we order rolls or sushi, the fish is always so fresh. Every single single time. Does not disappoint. The angel roll is a must try, so delicious and such a nice blend and balance of flavors. All of the kitchen foods are so flavorful and delicious. There really isn't a place. My go to sushi place.“

“Everything about this experience was top notch: food, service, and atmosphere. Everything about the place really lets the food shine, though. We had the sushi plates where the chef chooses. Every bite was better than the last. If I had one note, it would be to please tell me what everything is when setting the plate down! I thought I knew, but quickly realized that I wasn't familiar with everything. I'll have to go back soon so I can try it all again and ask.“

“Accommodating service but the food- none of it was particularly good.Steak wasn’t the greatest cut or quality. Chicken was flavorful enough so perhaps that’s the star of the show. Tempura wasn’t comparable quality to other places in and around NyC at a similar price point. Ginger salad was decent, fried rice was mediocre.Unfortunately nothing impressed enough to have me want to come back but that’s as a non sushi eater so I leave 4 stars because this place seems highly rated by those who enjoy sushi and I don’t want to significantly impact their rating for something outside of their namesake.“
