Highlights: bluefin tuna, seasonal firefly squid, and three rounds of premium Japanese sea urchin (my boyfriend was thrilled). The sushi progression makes sense, and the gold-leaf tuna with edible glitter spray is a fun touch. The chef is Chinese and super friendly – gave us great tips on handling fish. Much better than schlepping into Manhattan. Highly recommend if you’re nearby!“

“It was a wonderful experience , considering it is my first time. We had to wait a few minutes to get our table for 4 but that’s okay! The employees were super nice and went out of their way to pull and extra table for us. I loved the authentic atmosphere. The lighting, decor, and the overall feeling of the restaurant was great! “I chose the sushi deluxe, and I guess it’s similar to an omakase style. They told me it would be 9 pieces with one roll, and honestly, all the selections were great. The fish was very fresh and high quality. I was also really impressed by their service.

“I almost forgot about this spot but remembered it from when I trained at the martial arts gym down the street. I saw the other reviews raved about the food and the impressive menu for such a little spot so I decided to stop in for lunch. Very delicious indeed and the fish was rather fresh and clean tasting. They offer a decently priced menu full of Japanese favorites including cooked dishes if you are not a sushi fan. I opted for a traditional tuna maki roll and a spicy tuna roll as apart of the lunch special. Both were so tasty I ended up ordering another roll to go and the crispy rice. I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and traditional decor, very bright and clean looking. Sometimes these restaurants these days can get a little too funky with the decor so they made a proper choice maintaining simplicity. I see they deliver so I will definitely be ordering again when I am not in the area.“

The chef is Japanese, as well as the staff, so expect the food to be authentic and everything from hygiene to service to be top-notch! We sat at the bar with Chef Kondo directly before us, preparing our dishes. He was all smiles and extremely friendly, glancing occasionally to check on customers. When I reached the deep fried prawn head rested on the side of my sashimi platter, he advised me to break it in half first. I really needed some tips because the spikes from the head seriously would’ve caused me some injury. Besides the sashimi, we also ordered the octopus carpaccio, uni, fatty tuna roll, salmon avocado and eel avocado rolls (mad rolls) and everything was impeccably made. “Nice fusion place. The ramen is pretty decent and the teriyaki is good. Chicken wings are good and crunchy. They are pretty quick with orders whether you dine in or carry out. Fairly broad choices on the menu with lots of popular street food options and everything we've tried was at least pretty good or better. The boba tea here is also good and they let you select how much ice you want and what % of sweetness you like. All around solid place and I'm glad they're here.“
