“Great Thai food! Visiting Penfield and went by this place and it looked good. It looks like it's in a converted bank, but it works. \nMy wife and I love Hot & Sour Soup so we had to order the Tom Yum Chicken (Hot & sour flavor with lemon grass & galanga) and Tom Kha Chicken (Coconut, lemon grass & galanga). Both were excellent, the Tom Kha is a little sweet from the coconut and I loved it.\nMy wife ordered the Mango Chicken which she thought was very good. I saw the Drunken Noodles with choice of Chicken, Beef, or Shrimp. I had enjoyed Drinken Chicken years ago and haven't found it again so that was my choice. GOOD CHOICE!\nI enjoyed it very much. It had very wide rice noodles, and lots of chicken and vegetables. Much as the name implies, there is no alcohol in it. It was a very large portion, so I enjoyed what I didn't eat then, for lunch the next day.\nGood food, good service, nice atmosphere. You'll get a good meal here.“

“Came to Dinner tonight to celebrate our daughter’s birthday , we are not from the area , she attends st.john fisher and we were looking for a good Italian Dinner. All 6 of us had incredible Dinners . From start to finish all was amazing including our waiter who has a great sense of humor . We definitely will be returning soon . I am currently waiting for a smoothie & I hear them talking about how they shouldn’t have to clean out their blender after making a mango smoothie. “We drive 45 minutes for dinner every couple of weeks or as often as we can and it’s always worth it. There’s nothing bad on the menu. The wings are our favorite, the chicken salad is my 7 year old daughter’s go to. the subs, the cheeseburger plates, the pizza, all the condiments and sauces-just try it all. “The food was delicious, I just wish there was more of a variety. I got the Blackened Beef Tenderloin tips which tasted good but should have had more meat, most of the plate was mashed potatoes. There should be more beef options for dinner, ie: ribeye, prime rib, NY strip steak, short ribs, etc. The service was okay, a little slow. I ordered sparkling water and it came in a bottle with no glass, which was kind of odd. I had to request a glass and then the glass she gave me was tiny. It was crowded in there and a little loud, tables are too close together.“

Had the smoked pork sandwich with coleslaw on it. A phenomenal pairing Tried the bbq spaghetti which nearly blew me outta my seat!!! The bbq sauce was epic! @strangebird you need to shrink the size of the bbq spaghetti to a fries size and server them with the handhelds in place of French fries with that bbq sauce. Cuz heck yes! That bbq sauce on the side as a dipper 🤩🤩🤩. Great job to the staff. Bigger vehicles might wanna park on the street. If it’s busy, the parking lot is very narrow.“

Nevertheless, we couldn’t be happier to have stumbled upon such a low key, humble and delicious restaurant. The parking is a bit difficult as the lot is free but very tight. We had dinner here and from the chai tea to the plates we had (stew, salad, plantain fritters, gnocchi and greens), everything was flavourful, perfectly spiced and delicious. The pricing isn’t bad at all either. They prefer cash payment, but they fo take card. Highly recommend for anyone following a vegan/plant-based/vegetarian diet, since the menu is entirely friendly to these diets. We will definitely be back!“

“One of my kids has pretty intense food anxiety and basically is only comfortable eating chicken fingers and fries when we go out to eat. Making it hard on the rest of the family as that limits our dining choices often. We were really excited to find the kids menu here. The sushi, ramen, AND chicken fingers and fries were all excellent, the prices and portions are good, and the staff were friendly and helpful.“

“Late night arrival into Rochester on a Tuesday evening and I chanced upon Branca Midtown via Resy. We took a chance and I am so so glad we did. This place was divine. The host and the servers were impeccable. Sassy, funny, and attentive to a T, we were incredibly impressed and immediately relaxed with the atmosphere and the people. The ricotta appetizer was incredibly and reminded me of a favorite dish in Florence Italy, and the swordfish was perfection. Drinks were delicious, so thank you to the obviously talented bartender, as those were very much needed after our long drive. We will definitely make a point of stopping back then next time we are in town.“

“Every time I go to Clownboy, I wish it was closer to where I work or live, but that's more of a me problem. My most recent visit sealed the deal on why I need to just make the trip periodically.

This is a fully vegan coffee shop. I am not vegan but I am lactose intolerant so it's a treat to order from a menu with reckless abandon and not having to worry whether my coffee would be better with traditional milk. I think Clownboy is on par with many of the local coffee shops in the area quality-wise. I believe they make many (if not all) of their syrups in house, which is greatly enjoyed and appreciated. My personal favorite is the Dale Cooper, a cold brew with fig and walnut bitters. It's not sweet and has a subtle almost smoky finish. It's sophisticated and reminds me of a cocktail in a way. I have dabbled with a few other drinks on the menu and enjoyed them as well, but the Dale Cooper is my jam.

The vibe in the cafe is great. It's fun, welcoming and colorful. Local artists have work displayed for sale. I am more of a grab and go coffee drinker by default, but I could totally see myself chilling here for a while if the mood struck.

There are a few very small things I wish were different (limited seating, street parking), but on a nice day, I don't mind a little walk and a coffee to go.“

This was the first time that I’ve been out to eat in a while, when I didn’t have to worry so much about compromising flavor, in place of excessive dairy and meats.
