“We drove just under 2 hours to Stony Brook State Park, enjoyed the day and then decided to get some food at a local spot on the way home and picked High Banks Tavern. The food was really delicious. I would love to eat here again. Very intimate little place with one server taking care of about 10 tables plus the bar and they had non stop take out orders. Our server (younger gentleman) was calm, friendly, and hustlin! Our entire party of 4 couldn't say enough about the cheese curds, they were some of the best we've ever had, two of us agreed. My chicken sandwich was quite good as well, the rosemary fries get the MVP award tho. I am not much of a potato eater but I love rosemary, so I rolled the dice and I think they might be my new standard for a French fry. I loved them. Crispy, warm, and tasty. HBT is a great little place I'd love to be a local! We also really loved the new establishment next door, If you are local or in the area go check out Lewiston Waffles. We couldn't resist when we saw one walk by the window while waiting for our meal so we made sure to save room. Great experience!“

“We finally stopped here for dinner last night. We walked in and got seated anywhere we felt comfortable. Then the waitress came over and got our drink orders and went over the specials for the evening. We added the salad bar to our dinner. Salad bar was overall good. Now our meals came out in a good time. We order a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and the cajun bacon blue burger. Let me just tell you both of the meals were so good and delicious. Burger was big and juicy and the Philly cheesesteak sandwich was cheesy and also delicious. Overall it was a great experience. It was kinda busy but also a lot of take out orders too. And the prices for our meals came out cheaper than expected. We definitely will be going back again. We want to thank the staff in the kitchen and our wonderful waitress for awesome dinner experience.“

“My husband and I are locals and visit the Amber often for dinner. Katie and all of the servers provide excellent service and make us feel like family. Having a seafood allergy, they go out of their way to accommodate my meal requests which is very appreciated and is one of the reasons we keep coming back. Thank you all for all that you do! We are lucky to have a great little hometown local pub to relax and enjoy some R&R. 😊“

Another family came in after us and they got their drinks and got what they wanted before we were even asked for drinks. I was ready to walk. salad bar needs to have a better variety.“
