“I go here every time I visit family in NY. Their chocolate/peanut butter soft serve twist is delish! It's very creamy, and their portions are HUGE!!!! A small is the size of a large at other ice cream stands! You must try it - I promise, you WON'T be disappointed.“

“1157 is the Best! Not only does the Chef, Andy prepare fabulous food, the wait staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and can help you make choices that will really suit your tastes. The Lobster Bisque I had for Valentines was Fabulous and Andy’s soups are always hearty and satisfying. This is truly a fine dinning or anytime treat in Elmira.“

“First time there for breakfast and it was delicious. The sourdough toast was the best!!! Seemed adequately staffed and we were well-attended to. Good coffee, which I find many diners don’t have great coffee. We’ll be back!!“

“The choices of food are great but portion size could be a bit larger. I noticed any pasta is a smaller size at lunch time than dinner time. A few years ago my husband ordered chicken and shrimp alfredo and the shrimp and chicken were undercooked and raw. It's not our place of choice but we had gift cards and used them.“

“Good atmosphere. Was a busy brunch crowd but we were sat quickly. Delicious bloody Mary’s! Menu had a variety of selections but They were sold out of the quiche. Food was good. They have a great outdoor seating area that would be enjoyable during the summer months.

“It was a Monday night we went for dinner while visiting family in Horseheads. One person ordered the Brisket Quesadillas, tasted good, but when she was peeling open each piece of the quesadillas, most didn't have brisket, over kill of BBQ sauce and cheese. She had minus the jalapenos.
Another person had the Quesadilla Explosion Salad not much chicken in the salad. Seems like this could have been a one time issue since family that lives in Horseheads said it wasn't usually this skimpy with the protein. Wasn't busy in the bar area where we sat, only two other tables with patrons. Our server was pleasant and it was clean in the dining area.“
