“I'd go as gar to say it's one of the best fish frys in the area. Everything was very good, and portion size is generous. As a group we all had the fish frys, while some had the house salad, potato salad, mac & cheese, and frnch frys. All were very good. Will definately be back again.“

“This is the BEST sub shop, hands down. The atmosphere is fantastic and the employees actually care about their customers. They take the time to get to know them, as soon as you walk in as a regular, they know your order. They ask about your family and have really good conversation while you're there. “This was a lovely little local spot that we found while on a road trip. It was just what the doctor ordered for a lunch on a cold day.Soup & Sandwich combos for a decent price. I got the creamy potato soup with a Chicken Caesar Salad wrap. My boyfriend got the Ruben sandwich with a side of cole slaw. The ruben was hot in beautiful toasted rye bread, and "good" cold slaw according to my boyfriend that loves Cole slaw. The service was friendly and attentive, and we were in and out in way less than an hour.“

“Stopped in for breakfast. The place is awesome! I sat down at the counter and set my coffee cup down and the server asked right away if I wanted coffee in it. I ordered a Western Omelet which was huge and delicious. It is the quintessential diner.“

“The owner takes the time to remember faces and always greets u with a smile and a hello when he can, the staff are quick, nice and the food is amazing. I always get the super roast beef and a hot ham and cheese. Those are my goto subs. The sub roll is what makes the subs so good. They must be handmade. “My boyfriend and I stopped here driving through on a weekend trip. The service, food, and atmosphere were great. I had the blue cheeseburger, and he had the steakhouse burger. Both were terrific. “I am originally from the Southern Tier but left thirty years ago. While home for the holidays I asked who was serving up the best wings these days, Elbow Room or Bernie Murrays, I was surprised to hear both places have fallen and are hit or miss at best. A friend said, its a drive but try the Town Tavern so my wife and I went and found the pub, the atmosphere was ok, lots of people having fun. There was a GREAT BAND playing called Major Big Time and they really rocked the house and had people dancing and drinking up.We came for the wings and ordered, I got dozen with the house sauce and my wife was tempted by the Bacon Double Burger. After a short wait the food arrived and oh... my.... gawd..... the wings were absolutely HUGE and meaty (the Cincinnati area could learn a lesson or two here) and cooked to crispy perfection, the house sauce was amazingly good, not too sweet, not too hot but they found the spot right in the middle and it was absolutely delicious. My wife loved the double bacon burger, saying the patties were perfectly cooked and the bacon was exceptional.I highly recommend the Town Tavern, it is absolutely delicious food served with a smile. On my next trip to visit family, I know where I am going for a plate of wings.“

Had a wonderful experience, with plenty of excellent dishes, including the bacon wrapped scallops, crab rangoon, stir fry with beef tips, and a good Delmonico steak. All courses were good, though my girlfriend did think the French Onion soup was a little on the weaker side. Dinner was rounded off with some excellent dessert, a cheesecake slice with caramel sauce, and peanut butter pie. Highly recommend, the restaurant has an intimate ambiance with small seating area. “Several locals said the Chinese food was good. They Lied, the Chinese is MID at best. I’m sure some of the other food is decent, but the chicken in the soup and salad tasted like a tasteless gummy worm. Aye and that red berry dressing is trash dawg.“

It was Friday night fish fry and we had the broiled fish which was not fresh at all and the stuffed fish which was mediocre at best. The cole slaw and bread was very good. Pretty much everything you could want.We got a double scoop to split on a waffle cone. Ginormous portion for $5. Very worth it. Very worth returning here. The picture of our scoop was after about 10 minutes of eating and it's less than half way done.“

“really? this is listed as a restaurant? does rosar's even serve food? i was unaware. anyways, i love this place. awful, hilarious tunes on the jukebox, pool, video games and darts, and the cheapest beers in horseheads. the men's bathroom door says bears. did i mention this place is located next to a gun shop? i love horseheads. really busy on breaks from school (the only time i'm there, really) but kinda dead otherwise.“
