“I'm a long-time resident of Stanford and I remember - as many do - of the Circus that happened at this building for several years: the business and building changed ownership every year for probably four years. Now, we have Val's and, truth be told, they broke the curse. They are kind people, their food is local & delicious, and they are a very welcome breath of fresh air for this town. 5/5✨️✨️“

“The food here is so fresh way better than Dad's Diner. Every meal is freshly prepared and not just taken out of the fridge warm-up to serve a paying customer. They are a way better choice for freshly made food than the diner that gives you 5-10 business days old food. Lovely young people working at the register and even though the chef low-key reminds me of Bill from the True Blood TV series, he still seems nice. If they were serving alcohol that would be the icing on the cake. But for now, when I come to Copake for the summer, they'll always get my money for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Best food in Copake! 🎤 (mic drop)“

“Stopped in with the hubs and kids on Labor-day weekend. We didn’t realize it but it was almost closing time. They still took our order and allowed us to sit and eat. The Service was great! Everyone was smiling, happy and helpful. We got a 12 cut Sicilian pizza, and a small pepperoni calzone. The husband and kids really enjoyed the pizza, which was brought out steaming hot and smelled wonderful. I had the calzone. Hands down BEST calzone I’ve had in years. Not sure exactly how to explain how good it was but know that if I could move to be closer to Jo Jo’s calzone I would ?“

“My wife and I started dating in 1976, almost every weekend since we have had a pizza. Many years ago we decided to try pizza places all over the Hudson Valley and Capital District areas of NY as well as other places across the northeast. This weekend we took a drive from Columbia County to Amenia in northeast Dutchess Co. We decided on Santo Pizza . Decided on a Grandma's pizza which was delicious. Thicker than the average Grandma pie closer to a sicilian pie in our opinion but the crust was light and airy. Smooth ,creamy tasting cheese, tasty sauce made for a good day out ! Nice scenic ride down, nice pizza. Freindly and effecient staff. Would return if we were back in that area.“

“Very clean, friendly atmosphere. Excellent salads and pizza, especially the vegetable pizza. Prices are competitive, and the portions are generous. We have been there many times since they have opened.“

“We only stopped for pizza. It was a thick Greek pizza crust. The waitress provided very good service to the outdoor picnic table, including bringing fresh water for our dog. The pizza was fresh and hot. Garlic, oregano and grated parmigiano were available. The restaurant is accessible from the Harlem Valley Rail Trail.“

“Jeff is top rate. We are fortunate to have his cooking in our little town. The food is comparable to any big city restaurant. The atmosphere is casual, all the same. We’ve had supper there so often, the staff wonders where we are if we don’t come in for a while.“
