“We hosted an intimate wedding celebration in the elegant party room at Jean-Jacques. It was a joy to work with Donna Sullivan, who handles functions. She provided us with expert guidance in choosing the menu and every other detail. The room looked gorgeous, the food was exquisite and our guests were well cared for by Donna and the other servers. We received so many compliments from the attendees who remarked that they had a wonderful time and that the food was delicious. The bride and groom, and all of their friends and family, enjoyed themselves immensely and were able to meet, connect and have conversation in an elegant atmosphere. The party room is indeed a hidden gem at this premiere bakery and cafe in Pleasantville. My husband and I are not from the area and had never been to Jean-Jacques, but I contacted Jean-Jacques at the recommendation of a family member and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was exactly what we wanted. We had ample room for 40 guests and a jazz piano player. From the appetizers, Bellinis, Prosecco, wine and other beverages, to the sumptuous gourmet buffet dinner to the most delicious celebratory cake, everything was PERFECT. I say this as someone who has organized many events professionally over the decades. Donna Sullivan and Jean-Jacques are top notch.“

“We are relatively new and now converts to La Famiglia. Pizza is delicious, perfect combination of tangy flavorful red sauce and cheese. Margarita is perfection. And tonight we had a 1/2 tray of eggplant parm. My sister in law and I, both lifelong lovers of the dish, agree one of the best we have had anywhere! “I've only eaten there once, but I can see myself visiting again. Service was very good, and friendly. The "Alvin" Grilled Chicken Sandwich was tasty, though the Chicken was a bit chewy. The French Fries were very good. The menu looks very ambitious, and I look forward to trying their other offerings. The bathrooms are tiny, but clean! It's a safe bet that you'll get an enjoyable meal at Strawberry Place.“

“My husband and I went for dinner. We had a reservation and was greeted by the hostess, Madeline, who sat us right away. She was such a delight. She checked on us during dinner to make sure everything was going well. The chef also came to say hello and to make sure everything was to our liking. It totally was!! We ordered too much food because it was hard to decide on one thing. Shrimp cocktail and calamari appetizers. So good! Each was more than enough for two people! We ordered dinner from the 'specials' menu. Hubby had the 12oz grilled ribeye... and couldn't eat it all. I ordered the beef short ribs...sooo tender! Everything was delicious, including the drinks! The servers were awesome and very attentive! We'll definitely be back!!“

“I’m afraid to be too honest about how much I loved my first visit to The Tasty Table for fear that the more of us who share the less chance I’ll get a table…but…it’s great!! I can hardly wait to return! Sunday brunch is fantastic! Busy and absolutely worth the wait! I had their delicious shakshuka and an early grey tea while my friend had the hamburger and a cappuccino. We both loved it!!! We ate outside which was lovely, but inside is even more lovely! The design is farmhouse chic meets French patisserie…a great combo!!! And…the staff was kind and generous!! “Lifelong Palisades resident, and have loved the 9W Market/The Filling Station since it opened back in 2011! A HUGE improvement over the previous ownership when it was called the Palisades Market which opened in the spring of 2010 and was only open for a few months and then closed. I was so disappointed with the Palisades Market because it lacked a decent food selection and this community needed something so much more. Luckily, the owners of the 9W Market have done such an amazing job! I’ve never had a bad meal here! The ingredients are high quality and super fresh! The atmosphere and ambiance is very relaxing and tranquil! Love the bistro theme on the indoor side and picnic theme by the filling station burger stand. Not to mention, the burgers are the best I’ve ever had! Made with high quality grass fed beef! This is gourmet nyc restaurant style food right in our local neighborhood! Keep up the great work!“

“I am genuinely surprised by some of the negative reviews. I decided to visit the bakery on a whim because my usual one was closed, and I was needed a cake and some sweets. I had the chance to meet one of the owners, who was incredibly sweet and friendly. She was incredibly patient as I placed my order, which included a multitude of items. My family and I were happy with the cake, and the mini chocolate, passionfruit, and mixed berry mouse cakes that we ate. Not to mention, I also got a loaf of bread, which was sooo tasty!! I will definitely be back!“

My burger bun was hard as a rock, the bacon was hard and cold, my kids' broccoli was swimming in some weird oil like liquid, inedible, the chicken Mac& Cheese bowl tasted warm and seemed microwabable.....and we literally had to send back the wine carafe, it was BITTER!!! Needless to say a waste of money! Sorry, I wouldn't recommend, cute place but that is all.“

“I got Falafel platter to go, lot of food can even be enough for two , my only suggestion for them is it should come with two pitas not one. I didn’t know it comes with only one otherwise I would have got one extra.

The shakes are decent but $11 .
No frills decent bar but gluten free buns are little too thick that takes away from the burger..“

“I started coming to Beascakes years ago when I tasted their delicious chocolate chip cookies at an event. Since then, my family cannot have a holiday or birthday without their treats. Their custom cakes and cookies not only taste incredible but their decorators are extremely talented, they knock it out of the park every time. Everything that they make is out of this world, best bakery in the area by far.“

“I’m definitely giving this place five stars. Service was fine. The food was well above average. I can easily say the gnocchi was the best I’ve ever had and there’s no distant second in sight. The peanut butter chocolate mousse was good but it had a lot more chocolate than PB taste. I did notice one review complained about the smell. I think the men’s room was cleaned with straight vinegar. A little weird, but no big deal.“

We grabbed the vegan sausage , egg and cheese. At first we were disappointed in the slider sized bun, but it turned out to be plenty of food with the sausage , egg and cheese. “I stayed in Cortland for a few days and found this little gem! So glad I did; I currently live in Florida and crave a good NY Bagel. This place was exactly what I expected, great bagels and awesome cream cheese spread. We'll hopefully be back in the future!“
