“My Mom and Dad were friends with the Original Owners of Buttercup. Mom walked there to get Milk when it was a Dairy Farm. The kids (not so young now) have been running it and doing an amazing job! Great place to go for cold cuts, sandwiches, fresh salads, cookies, (Inside of pies are yummy but the crusts, sadly, are terrible) - too thick and hard - nothing like home made should be! It's a most convenient place to pick up so many things you can avoid the supermarket & you can get in and out fairly quickly! They even sell home made entrees! Service is always friendly & there are carts to make shopping easier. It's definitely a WIN-WIN place to shop!“

“This is one of my favorite breakfast spots! Food ranges from good to exceptional, but their pastries can be hit or miss. Drinks are consistently good in my opinion, my girlfriend is not a fan of their iced coffee which she thinks can be inconsistent. What keeps us coming back is the famous egg sandwich which is pickled to perfection and oh so yum! I don’t think they have enough tables and maybe would benefit from eliminating one or two of the benches to add 2-3 more tables…like a typical coffee house a lot of people seem to work from there and can linger for hours. Service is great. Parking can be tricky when it’s busy, there is a shared lot but it can fill up quickly.“

“My husband and I got our gender reveal cakes made here and we were absolutely blown away! From our initial encounter, the girls at the shop were so friendly, accommodating, and excited to help. We explained what we had in mind, a vintage style heart shaped cake with the middle filling being pink or blue to reveal what our baby would be. They COMPLETELY nailed the cake & it was not only beautiful but it was so delicious. We also requested a second cake, their signature tarte style, but in a heart shape decorated either pink or blue to share with our family once the reveal was over. The tarte cake literally made me cry that’s how beautiful it was and the macaroons were out of this world! 10/10 recommend thecookieshop for any of your special occasion bakery needs!“

“Cake Fairyland did such an awesome job designing a Studio Ghibli birthday cake for me! When I saw the cake for the first time my mouth dropped and I couldn't believe how perfect it looked, it was even better than I could have imagined. The staff were very helpful and courteous and made my experience so memorable. Truly above and beyond! Will definitely order again!!“

“This place is above and beyond. They have amazing conchas and croissants. I went an hour and a half before closing and the pastries were still warm and very soft , you can ell everything is freshly made and they dont sell stale food. This is now my go to bakery on the island.“

“I am a former NY'er that came to visit family and do some college visits with my daughter. Stopped in to St. James Bagels on accident and I'm so glad I did. Had their breakfast bagel with eggs and bacon and it was absolutely delicious. Eggs were fluffy and the bacon was perfectly cooked. The people there are wonderful. In particular there was an older gentleman there (can't remember his name), who was so genuinely kind to me and my daughter and also very funny. My daughter absolutely loved the place, both the food and atmosphere. It is my go to place whenever I am back in NY to visit.“

“I love this place. It's such a delight each time I come here. The bakery items are delicious and I love the torta mista any time of the day (make sure to ask for it on the Portuguese bread). I also recommend the chorizo bread if you want something very savory. And you can't go wrong with their Pasteis de nata. When I bring a mix of their baked goods to the office people go nuts for it. I can hear the stampede coming once I send out the announcement. Oh! And the bread! Oh my goodness. Great for home but also as a nice item to bring to a dinner at someone else's house.“

“My Mom passed away almost two years ago. To celebrate her memory we ordered from her favorite bakery and they did not disappoint. I remember she loved coming here for our birthdays and holidays. “Lisa, the owner of Torte Jeff has created one of my favorite bakeries. Any dessert I get is always fresh, creative, and delicious. I got European hot chocolate with my boyfriend during the ice festival, and I swear that it was the best hot chocolate I ever had. I also love her Morning Sunshine protein cookies after I workout.“

“We decided to grab a quick breakfast. They have a full service menu and everything was delicious.Not pictured below or the crepe and The Omelette that we ordered because I forgot to take pictures and a few cool pictures from around the place to eatWe ordered the veggie omelette, and my daughter ordered it without the spinach. The eggs were cooked perfectly and we hopped for more onions but it was still great.My son ordered a Nutella crepe. Out of all the crepe places we've gone to he said this one wasn't his favorite.Vikki ordered a "bebe"it's a Portuguese role with ham and cheese on it. They butter the roles and it was really good.We ordered "galão" . It's a Portuguese latte for a American pallet. It was so good.... And wasn't bitter at all.“
