“Tavern 157 is an absolute gem! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a cozy ambiance that perfectly balanced charm and sophistication.

Every dish was great. The attention to detail in both presentation and taste was evident. Pair that with their impressive drink selection--especially their sangria--and you have an evening to remember.

The service was top-notch as well. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and made fantastic recommendations. They made us feel like we were the only table in the house, even though the place was buzzing.

Tavern 157 is the perfect spot for a date night, a catch-up with friends, or just indulging in amazing food. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. A true five-star experience!“

“This place is so aesthetic and the tea tastes absolutely amazing. Enjoyed this quaint establishment around 11pm. The Zhu Cha was a nice experience but only really worth it for the tea and if you are staying for a long time, which is what it was intended for. The snacks are distinguishable and unfortunately not very suitable for the tea we chose. Not sure it was worth $60+ dollars for tea and $2 snacks.“

“Excellent coffee shop on Long Island, come for the caffeine and stay for the community. We stopped by my mom’s favorite coffee shop mid-afternoon, because the family was trying to kill me with caffeine deprivation. The oat milk latte was carefully made and smooth and easy to drink. The interior is great, for a brief moment in time you are anywhere in the World with roll up garage doors, fooseball and a clean setting for evening entertainment. I’ll be back next time I’m visiting!“

“My best friend lives in Queens so she and I come to the Onion Tree every other Friday night. I wish this place was closer to me. I live in Yonkers. The food is superb, seasoned extraordinarily. The chicken is fresh, soft and cut into small bites. I always order chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, or chicken tikka pizza. I have never had food that I enjoyed this much and I have tried all foods all over the world. I never get tired of this place. And the food is served quickly and piping hot. They’re opening a second place in Manhattan. We’re getting closer to Yonkers!! The drinks are awesome too. Barbra and Louis work behind the bar. They’re friendly and great bartenders.“

“My visit to Arepa Mania Bar & Grill in NY was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing the Reina Pepiada arepa was packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. The chicharrón was crispy and delicious, and the natural passion fruit juice was incredibly refreshing.

The atmosphere added so much to the experience. The indoor garden-style decor is really nice, giving the space a cozy and vibrant feel that makes you want to sit back and enjoy your meal even more.

A special shoutout to our server Valentina, whose service was truly outstanding friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed.

This spot is definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious food and a welcoming vibe!“

“We had a last minute reservation for 8 people, and we were lucky enough to snag a table. YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE! Our entire table loved the food. From the appetizers (the warm bread, the amazing carmalized onion spread, & the Calamari), to the main courses (the NY strip steak, the shrimp, and the ravioli), to the dessert (trust me... get the bread pudding!) everything was impeccable. “I went to SCRV today for the first time after like a year of wanting to go. This is a fire place in the neighborhood that I probably won't go back to because of the people that goes. Dudes be standing on the wall instead of dancing...that's to say, the ratio is pretty good.. A downside (like the first sentence wasn't one) is it closes at 1 AM at least on Fridays. Furthermore...some of the the women are scheming, trying to sell you on the next spot (spoiler: $100 bottles that really cost 30-40 max which would be fine but... They also charge cover-they don't tell you that part.) Additionally, they'll surely call you broke if you opt out of being swindled.

TLDR: Go to SGRV but not wherever else anyone tell you to go. My honest opinion.“

Opinions about this Mamaroneck institution are as strong and mixed as their cocktails, but as various bars open and close all around it, this place stays true to itself. It's a neighborhood dive bar of the sort that are ubiquitous in my native Wisconsin, but rare gems in the NYC metro. Craft cocktails and small batch IPAs will not be found here, but simple mixed drinks and domestic drafts are always on hand. Darts and a few other bar games are cheap or free, and the beautiful original window storefront opens up wide to let the warm air in on summer nights. I have had some great memories here and it always feels like a sip of home.“
