“I went to a family friend’s 70th birthday party they hosted in the Atlantic ballroom. The space was modern and very clean. The food was DELICIOUS!!! And the workers, Yiselle, Estrellita, and Shorty (blonde) made the event so memorable! They paid attention to every detail, whether it was filling our water cups, collecting unused plates and of course they did it all with a warm smile. They were kind, funny and very welcoming. I had a wonderful time! Thank you Yiselle, Estrellita and shorty!!!“

“IT WAS HORRIBLE. AS A MEXICAN I DO NOT APPROVE, THIS PLACE HAD BAD BAD FOOD, FIRST OF ALL THEY SERVED ME AN ORANGE WITH TACOS, WHO DOES THAT? WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND GIVE ORANGES WITH TACOS, NUH UH. “Visited during Sunday Brunch hours. Our group had a few brunch services an others food from the menu. Ordered the sampler and yanikeke w/ guacamole, both apps were cold upon arrival. Main course was delightful. Atmosphere is very family oriented, for the size of the location music was too loud making it difficult to have a conversation.“

“This place is a hidden gem. I wish I knew about this place earlier . I ordered the Beef Stew with white rice and beans and let me tell you it tasted like my parents made it. The stew sauce was saucing and it was thick pause . New customer for sure ! I recommend to come in and eat next time I know I will ! Don’t for get the Passion fruit juice !“

“Hands-down the best pupusas in the area. I love that they are generous with the filling and it tastes like an actual pupusa and not like a tortilla like at other places. Highly recommend. I would just suggest you call in the order ahead of time as it gets busy and it’s a tiny store.“

“I called in for papusas and got a variety to try! I loved every single one but can highly recommend the papusas with pork and beans; it is definitely my new favorite dish. The wait was about 15 minutes after I called to place my order, which was not bad at all. The owner was very kind and gave us a slice of pizza to try for free, which was good as well. Overall, great experience, and I will be coming back soon!“

“Prices for this economy aren’t terrible at all, he markets great, offered free juice (amazing btw) orange , ginger, lemon, carrots , very delicious and healthy, Carlos is just a positive and kind person and it’s a great personality to have in this business, he’s very very kind and this is definitely my new spot for the area. “I have been eating from here for literal years! My dad introduced me to their food about 10 years ago and I can’t believe I haven’t written a review yet.
The food here is consistently flavorful, fresh, and made with love. It doesn’t matter if I eat in the restaurant or order takeout the food here is always a 10/10! My go to order is the Grilled Shrimp Scampi ( Camarones ) with garlic sauce and white rice with beans. My fiancé always orders their Pernil with rice and beans.
If you are thinking of getting food from here, do it! The staff is super friendly and the food is as good as it looks!“

“The food is definitely delicious—fresh off the grill every time. I used to drive past this place all the time until a friend finally brought me here. We ordered the chicken and steak, and the total came to about $22. I also got a small mixed drink for around $4.
About a month later, I came back and ordered the exact same thing, but my total was almost $40. I noticed the menu board had been updated, even though the online menu still looked similar to what I saw on my first visit.
I understand prices go up, but that kind of increase in such a short time is a lot—especially in Hempstead. 😅
The staff is excellent, the restaurant is clean, and the food is genuinely good. I don’t mind paying a little more for quality, but the pricing should still feel reasonable. Hopefully they can offer some specials, combos, or other accommodations because I’d love to keep coming back.“

“I was referred here by my friend who buys food from here often and shared and it's always delicious. My husband and I come from long island as often as we can now because we have never been disappointed with all the food we bought. Staff and owners are wonderful and very welcoming and grateful for our patronage which we love. The portions are great and pleasantly pleased that they include plantains. My absolute favorite is the beef stew, always mouth watering and tender. We will continue to return. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.“
