This is real Filipino Halo Halo. Because some restaurants put fruit cocktail and some makes it taste like gulaman. It's not too sweet and just the right amount of milky taste blended with melted ube ice cream and topped w/ leche flan.
I have a good dining experience at Sulo. Service was stellar. Some reviewers are comparing it to another Filipino restaurant in the area but Sulo have lots of varieties so not really an apple to an apple comparison. Anyway, I don't find the prices expensive. So it's really depends on the person. The serving size was adequate. I ordered the following:Crispy Pata, chicken mami, goto beef tripe, lichen flan , miki bihon , turon and sotanghon guisado. Small restaurant with delicious food. Lumpia, pork belly and chicken chosuey with garlic rice filled our tummies. There are about 5 tables and I do not believe they serve alcohol. Owners are very sweet and the restaurant is clean. Food is cooked fresh so may take slightly longer than expected.
