“We have been to Thai Rock numerous times with friends or by ourselves. In the evening the bar scene is sometimes more important than having a good meal, although we managed to eat well enough with the noise. During the pandemic we had limited choices of simplified dishes. But now, going for a tranquil lunch on the large deck overlooking Jamaica Bay and the Cross Bay Bridge, with sun or shade depending on your preference, we had top quality Thai. Our green papaya salad (we had it hot, but medium and mild were options) had a nice mixture with green beans, cherry tomatoes, and peanuts. Deep fried cod with peppers in a sweetish sauce was excellent. The star was marinated beef (chicken, shrimp, pork were other options) with string beans, ginger, and chopped nuts. Sharing all this made a balanced meal. Others had fancy looking cocktails. The service was friendly and attentive. We plan to go back soon.“

“We were in Flushing for a few days, and went to Tangram to eat. I chose the crab fried rice our first day. It was so delicious that I went back again another day for the shrimp fried rice. They were both so good! The lady at the counter was so nice, and remembered me from the day before. I wish we lived closer, because I would definitely come back again!“

“Food is excellent. Fresh and well prepared. Service was low-keyed but attentive. Relaxed, family type atmosphere. Place was almost empty during my visit so I can't speak to the atmosphere or service when they get busy but I'd expect it would be fine.“

“A quaint and locals-favorite Thai restaurant serving prime dishes. We enjoyed every single dish that was brought to our table. The portions are plenty to share around the table: we had a party of four and ordered 2 entrees, 3 appetizers and a dessert.
The Branzino is the highlight of our dinner, which came with a grand presentation. Fish tasted clean and a hint of sweetness—delectable. We also recommend the Veggie Curry Puff, a savory and flaky goodness. As for dessert, we opted for their second best, Banana Pudding with Ice Cream since they were out of Mango Sticky Rice. Still a great choice!

“I had the chance to try the beef noodles here. Although the noodles weren’t listed on the menu, I saw a photo and decided to give them a try — and I’m glad I did! The noodles came with a generous mix of vegetables, and they used two types of noodles with different sizes and textures. The beef was tender and flavorful and u can choose spicy levels.The dumplings were also delicious. The restaurant is not very spacious, but it’s clean and neatly arranged. The service was excellent as well.“

“Lunch special is great! Appetiser and main for $12.95, I’d recommend the chicken dumplings and the drunken noodles, I asked for a little spice and they did it perfectly. “Great neighborhood spot for Thai food! We decided to walk in to Thai Tree after voting in the hottest Election Day that ever was, and they did not disappoint.

Server was friendly and quick, always kept our waters full, and he was knowledgeable about what could be made vegan or not.

Sadly the papaya salad can’t be made vegan, but we had plenty of other options. Portions were huge; we both ended up packing up leftovers of our noodles.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and are looking forward to coming back! Next time we’ll remember to save room for dessert 😝“

“Ambiance and service were great. We ordered a Thai Pink Milk smoothie, Hoy Jor, Crispy Pork, Leng Zap, and Crab Noodle. Nice little Thai spot in Woodside/Jackson Heights serving some very authentic dishes.

Hoy Jor - Deep fried pork and crab meat in a tofu skin. Really enjoyed this since it was very tender and packed with a decent amount of crab meat. Dipping sauce was a little sweet and tangy.

Crispy Pork - Super crispy, crunchy pork belly. Dipping sauce was salty, tangy/sour. Great appetizer as well.

Leng Zap - Pork bone soup. A literal mountain of tender pork spine in a very flavorful soup. We got ours with mild spice and it still had a kick to it so be mindful of Thai spiciness! The soup is very sour and bold in flavor. They give you some plastic gloves to help with pulling apart the meat and there is definitely plenty of meat. Extremely tender and fall of the both. Some parts you have to really dig out but worth it. Feeds 2-3 people for sure.

Crab noodle - Noodles with chunks of crab meat, seasoning, peanuts, boy choy, bean sprouts, and a lime. Mix together to get a nice noodle with light crab flavoring, very nice dish as well.

“I LOVE Ddee!! I have gotten delivery many times and it is consistently delicious, fast, hot and flavorful. I dined in as well and had just as lovely of an experience. My friend and I shared the Kari Puff appetizer, which was so tasty. Just the right amount of flakiness, not overly greasy or salty. My chicken Pad Khing entree was fresh, flavorful, and not drowning in sauce, which has been my typical experience with similar dishes in other restaurants. Our server was personable, patient, and attentive.
