I made a post not too long ago asking if any bakeries made those gingerbread frosted bars. My mother used to make these growing up and I haven’t had them in years…

Finally made it to east green bush today early enough(they close at 3)

Anyways..
I got 2 of the gingerbread bars, 1 big m&m cookie, and 1 not pictured chocolate covered Oreo

The gingerbread bars are sooooo good. And moist. Wasn’t overly sweet and sorta fugdy type center. 10/10 recommend.

The m&m cookie was purchased for my son . It was huge but still managed to be moist.
Really good- according to him.

And the chocolate coverd Oreo as you can tell was delicious. That’s the first thing he ate( as to why there’s no picture)

Everything was decently priced too.
This was all under $10 and those gingerbread bars are NOT small“

“My partner and I have been to the Aviary many times and we are always excited at the prospect of going again. Last night we had an absolutely lovely day-after-Valentine’s dinner there. Cocktails, appetizers, mains, all fabulous. At first I was disappointed that the fantastic steelhead trout I had there recently wasn’t on the menu, but the short ribs were a terrific alternative. Nick serves a wonderful cocktail and, at this point, he even knows what we like. We enjoyed being in the nest and appreciated that the staff agreed to seat us side-by-side so we both had a view of that beautiful room. Service was excellent, as we have come to expect. No photos, b/c I left my phone at home so as to just be there. Thanks, all.“

This place is so cute on the outside, and fast, affordable, and delicious on the inside! “Wanted to explore dinner place in Rensselaer, saw this Asian Bistro. They had huge menu, it was exciting but overwhelming at same time. So tried different food, the roll that we order didn’t look really appetizing and also the tum yum soup didn’t taste like Tom yum. However, the Thai basil chicken and salmon carpaccio were really good. I ordered scorpion bowl for drinks, it was large but I enjoyed it. Server was very polite and patience, we liked her. First drink order was taken by 1 server who seem to be in rush, but later another young lady with smiling attitude came and her attitude and service were 5 ⭐️. Again, will be coming back as I live near by and also recommend!“

Perfect margarita and guacamole with house made crisp chips. Dinner was vegetable enchiladas filled with broccoli, mushrooms, carrots and cauliflower floret. This dish was topped with melted cheese, fresh cotillo cheese and house made tomatillo sauce. The sauce was sweet with a bit of a kick! All served by accommodating, friendly staff. “We stopped in for a large pizza on a Saturday afternoon after visiting our son who resides in Valatie. The pizza was great and service was very good Great value for the price.“

“We waited over an hour for a table, which is sort of to be expected on a Friday night, but still a bit ridiculous. They do not accept advance reservations. We ordered a Gracie pie, a New Yorker, and a buffalo chicken pie. All were delicious! Though it falls just a little bit short of making up for the wait time. Next time I'll be ordering takeout from here.

“This is a diner. A diner diner. We enjoyed our visit and the friendly staff and other folks eating. The 4 stars is because one of our team did not care for her food, and wanted a thicker shake. The other said onion rings were soggy from old oil. The fish is fun In that they are fish logs. It was a diner. I like diners!“

“Our waitress was fantastic. There were 5 of us and she had no problem doing separate checks. The food was awesome we had brushetta, onion rings, spinach salad, Cesar salad, cheese quesadilla and a Swiss burger. Everything was delicious and we had a great time. I'll go back again.“

My only complaint was that for a restaurant at that price point (but honestly, I would feel the same at any price point) - I was completely shocked to discover that the side of mashed potatoes I ordered were INSTANT and not real potatoes! I don’t know that I’ve ever been served instant before, even at chain restaurants. Despite that, the rest of my meal was tasty though.“
