“The food here is absolutely phenomenal. There is so much variety on the menu, and every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. Each plate that came out was a 10/10, and honestly, I didn’t even know where to start because everything looked and smelled incredible. You can truly taste the authenticity in every bite, and it felt like a real culinary journey through Turkey. The service elevated the experience even more. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel like honored guests rather than just customers. The hospitality, energy, and attention to detail created an inviting and memorable experience from start to finish. This is more than just a meal—it’s an experience.“

“Really enjoyed this neighborhood gem, which has been there for 30 years. We tried it for the first time this past weekend and thought the food was terrific. The staff was very sweet and attentive, as well. It’s also good to know that it is open late, after Broadway shows let out, should you feel like dining on the late side.“

The service was wonderful from start to finish. I placed my order online and someone called to confirm and delivery was right on time. I highly recommend this restaurant!“

“This spot has a cozy vibe and serves up some good fusion Turkish-Middle Eastern food. The staff is friendly and seems to enjoy what they do, which makes the visit feel more relaxed. Food is fresh, and their bread with the garlic tzatziki was memorable. Wine options are solid and not too expensive, but just know it’s cash or Venmo only. Overall, a bit on the pricey side but worth it for a nice meal.“

“Absolutely amazing spot for Turkish food in Murray Hill. It was close to my hotel, so I figured to stop in. I’m so glad I did. I got to try a variety of different items, inducing: ayran, chicken Adana sandwich on home bread, Turkish tea, and rice pudding.
The ayran was probably the best I’ve ever had in my life. It was so refreshing, the perfect amount of salt, so good. And it’s homemade. I would highly recommend you try this drink regardless of what you order, it’s that good.
The chicken Adana sandwich was also quite nice. The chicken was fresh and well seasoned in a good portion with some lettuce, onions, tomatoes as well. The bread was great. It’s served with two wonderful, flavorful sauces: hot sauce and yogurt sauce (I much prefer the latter). Portion is incredible for the price.
Then, I was initially interested in trying the fig pudding for dessert but they were out of it, so I went with the rice pudding. Again, a huge portion that is well worth the price. So creamy, so good. And, they brought out 2 Turkish teas for free to make up for not having the fig! The people are just very nice here, and the tea was also lovely, piping hot and just perfect.
It’s a pretty small restaurant but doesn’t get crowded early on. They were playing some Turkish music while I ate, and I really enjoyed it. The people are very kind and attentive and the food is just incredible. Must try!“

“I happened upon Tava Turkish and Mediterranean Cuisine and immediately liked the way it felt…welcoming, with lovely music inside. I was not disappointed!
Delicious arugula salad (a full meal!) cold beer, and a complimentary dessert! The server and hostess were attentive without being intrusive. It doesn’t get any better!“

“My first time going was last Friday right as they opened and I must say for my first time eating a Turkish dish, I was blown away. The service was on point and efficient as well as the plating of the food. I was in love with the portions too and even the bread was just so savory. I can say I have not one complaint about this place and highly recommend it to everyone.🥰“

“Delicious, flavorful, healthy food, wine (and tea!) Excellent atmosphere. Very friendly and efficient service. I have been a client of SipSak for many years, and have brought my family and friends. So happy to have this great Turkish restaurant in our neighborhood. I had Ali Nazik today, which is ground beef, tomatoes, peppers over a smoked eggplant puree and yogurt. A glass of Malbec. And the delicious Turkish tea (which is served in a really cute cup!) The bread and olives are also very yummy! I would certainly recommend!“

“Basic but very good, especially for the price. A highlight was the woman at the register who was very concerned and accommodating. You can get a half chicken and two sides for $15.95... and that ain't bad. The establishment is a solid choice for a quick and reliable meal.“

“Nice Mediterranean spot, might want a reservation as it is a bit small. Excellent dessert selections and pastries. We enjoyed the calamari, hummus, and the mixed grill and decided the lamb chops were the best part. All of it was delicious but I would order just lamb chops next time, the mixed grill is a nice way to try several meats. The hummus and pita were very good as was the calamari and the sauce it was served with was very nice as well.“

“I like to come by and eat lunch here because the food is delicious, quickly served, and price is giving. Lunch Menu is now $17 for soup or salad, appetizer, main. I had the lentil soup (could use some more flavor its a bit bland), the hummus was very
good (wish they had real warm pita instead of bread ), my Chicken kabob was cooked perfectly (meat was tender and soft).“

“Great place to eat Turkish food. Service is excellent & atmosphere is very nice: casual & friendly. Lots of tapas to choose from. Lamb dish is tender & baklava is superb. There’s live entertainment on the weekends. Sometimes one of the guests will be playing a clarinet or a guitar while eating. Lol. Lots of local Turkish people eat in this place. They started as a tiny restaurant & they have expanded to the one next door.“
