“First time here and it was absolutely amazing! The service and staff are totally professional and accommodating, they explain everything to you with step by step instructions. They give you 2 hours to eat all you can, unlimited unalcoholic drinks, and there is a sauce bar with all different types of sauces to put on your food. My husband was in his glory with all the different meat selections. He had pork belly and lamb, I had chicken and my son had steak. The fried rice was delicious and so was the spring rolls and my absolute favorite was the dumplings! You definitely do not leave there hungry. It's a little pricey but it's worth it! “Great happy hour spot. Don't arrive during happy hour for a dinner table without a reservation on a weekend night. High tops are seated for dinner guests only when guests finally are done with the long happy hour.

Drink specials at happy hour are worth the trip but someone has to wait in line at the door at 4:30 for high top seating. Meeting people at happy hour is easy because seating is close and you can hear everyone's chatter.

Well staffed. Good service. Catering takeout is easy and consistent.

“Authentic, delicious, Italian cuisine...like a fancy version of Sundays and holidays growing up. Danny's sauce recipe is printed on a flour sack in a frame on the wall (very close to Mom's) so those of us who cook can savor the taste at home. Everything our party of 4 ordered exceeded expectations and was served up by friendly, knowledgeable staff. The Veal Danny and eggplant in particular....so, so good. Chocolate cake with pistachio cream and a fine cup of coffee to end the meal....now that's perfection!“

“Family and I go a few times a year. Definitely like this place. Very common for locals to also come. Make sure to call for reservations during busy parts of the day. They also do take out as well. My go to is the shredded tofu with noodles. This time I happen to get a Vegetarian Spring Roll. Very good as well. I do like the Summer rolls as well. Next time I’ll get a summer roll ^_^“

“First timer for a family lunch. Everyone loved the Mac & Cheese (with the breadcrumb topping). I had the chicken sandwich and it was a five star meal along with homemade sweet potato chips. My wife had the grilled cheese and tomato soup which she gave three stars. My daughter had the chili and she and I agreed it was the weal link in the experience. Clean place, fast service and the chicken sandwich is why I give this place a solid four stars. Try it for yourself.“

“to the people commenting on the lack of ambiance...? i think it is fine. for me the music is "ambient" enough, along with the lovely wall mural, and photos showing what the food is....not to mention the collection of both holly AND "bolly"wood stars and starlets, adorning a back side wall. the dining area is always SPOTLESSLY CLEAN, and the bathroom shines. they keep the prices very reasonable, which is a HUUGE plus for me. the food is always great, fresh, and tasty, not to mention a lot healthier than the traditional american diet. staff is attentive. i never felt they "watch to see how many dishes you take", as someone suggested. they are likely making sure people get FRESH plates with every visit to the steam tables., since this is actually a restaurant/buffet health law...i have never ever, once felt like they wanted to "rush" me out. they are always very welcoming and accommodating.. “This was my first visit to Modu Sushi. Since it was cold out, I started with the shrimp shumai appetizer which was nice and hot and fresh tasting. I liked the nice presence of spring onion in shumai, and the sauce was a good accompaniment.

The 2 rolls I ordered were stuffed well, and rolled nice and tightly. Since their kimchi was sold out, I asked for some gochujiang as a change of pace alongside the wasabi & ginger. What an eye-opener! It had everything. Salt, heat, a fair bit of acid which made the sushi really pop and made my cheeks rosy.

Well, since my cheeks were rosy anyway, I ordered some cold sake, just so I didn't get cold on the way to the car. Yea, that's it...

I finished, as I usually do, with a single piece of Toro as dessert. It was cut well which made it very tender, and as Toro does, just melted in your mouth. Since it was a generous piece, I had some with the gochujiang which made it even better. That is a dangerous sauce!

I definitely want to visit again to try their bulgogi, or bibimbap... or both.

Their event room was the perfect location for our gathering and the food was excellent. Joan was so accommodating and made sure to take the time to give my pup some extra love. It meant the absolute world to me to be able to have my “best girl” by my side for such a special occasion! The chicken sandwich was a little dry but great flavor. My husband said the Bloody Mary was the best he’s had, I enjoyed the white sangria, and the carajillo cocktail was superb! The place was packed to overflowing excellent service and friendly waitstaff. I’ve had family be told you can use a gift card at either location and I have been told it must be used where it was purchased? My parents bought a gift card at the Albany location for my wife and I. The back of the card had Saratoga on it. Thankfully, we presented the gift card receipt after being told we could only use it in Saratoga when the receipt showed it was purchased in Albany. Thankfully, the server and the manager didn’t give up on the situation and were able to manually enter the card number in despite the magnetic strip on the card not working. Bravo to them! However, the only gift cards you are able to purchase in Albany say Saratoga on the back. So if you have a gift card, you better bring a gift card receipt or you may not be able to use it. I hope you guys look at the policy. My only negative. Other than that sushi is fresh and quick and great service !“

“The wings were perfect! They had a great deal until 3:30 12 wings 2 beers 20 bucks. I asked for my wings medium and garlic parm tossed together, these were some of the best I have had in the area recently. Will definitely be coming back to try the burger deal (also 20 with 2 beers until 3:30).

Parking: They are working on parking but currently street spots or walk over from Price Chopper.“

I had the salmon burger and my partner had the fish sandwich. Both delish. Atmosphere is perfect, nice, but not stuffy. Reasonable prices. What a lucky find!“

“I had calamari fish and a lunch deal that included a fish burger, fries, sauces, and a fountain drink.

My experience was good overall. The ambiance and environment were nice. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the service was decent. If you ask for extra sauce, they do provide it, but somewhat reluctantly. Parking is also good.

If I were to rate it out of 10, I’d give it a 9.

For Muslims, fish is the only option, so this restaurant is recommended for Muslims as well.
