“Authentic, delicious, Italian cuisine...like a fancy version of Sundays and holidays growing up. Danny's sauce recipe is printed on a flour sack in a frame on the wall (very close to Mom's) so those of us who cook can savor the taste at home. Everything our party of 4 ordered exceeded expectations and was served up by friendly, knowledgeable staff. The Veal Danny and eggplant in particular....so, so good. Chocolate cake with pistachio cream and a fine cup of coffee to end the meal....now that's perfection!“

“We were there on June 4th Unbeknownst to us it was the start of Belmont week in Saratoga. The city was mobbed with people great to see. But not great on walk in dining. We were told it would be an hour wait because of all the reservations they had. This was not part of our plan of course. We then spotted an outdoor table in the shade. We grabbed it and the rest is history. We were greeted by Eli our server who by the way is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to craft beer. He managed to recommend beers for all three of us that were delicious. Outstanding job Eli. We shared a spicy little pizza and a charcuterie board and both were awesome. What a great experience from start to finish. great beer and food spells a good time and we will be back for more in the future“

“to the people commenting on the lack of ambiance...? i think it is fine. for me the music is "ambient" enough, along with the lovely wall mural, and photos showing what the food is....not to mention the collection of both holly AND "bolly"wood stars and starlets, adorning a back side wall. the dining area is always SPOTLESSLY CLEAN, and the bathroom shines. they keep the prices very reasonable, which is a HUUGE plus for me. the food is always great, fresh, and tasty, not to mention a lot healthier than the traditional american diet. staff is attentive. i never felt they "watch to see how many dishes you take", as someone suggested. they are likely making sure people get FRESH plates with every visit to the steam tables., since this is actually a restaurant/buffet health law...i have never ever, once felt like they wanted to "rush" me out. they are always very welcoming and accommodating.. “First timer for a family lunch. Everyone loved the Mac & Cheese (with the breadcrumb topping). I had the chicken sandwich and it was a five star meal along with homemade sweet potato chips. My wife had the grilled cheese and tomato soup which she gave three stars. My daughter had the chili and she and I agreed it was the weal link in the experience. Clean place, fast service and the chicken sandwich is why I give this place a solid four stars. Try it for yourself.“

When my order for Prime Rib was not cooked to order, they replaced it not only with the correct preferred doneness, but it was replaced in a timely manner and with a genuine desire to please me as a customer. Kudos to the manager that is in charge of the Prime Rib clientele - which is exceptional in the Clifton Park area. 👍“

“Great happy hour spot. Don't arrive during happy hour for a dinner table without a reservation on a weekend night. High tops are seated for dinner guests only when guests finally are done with the long happy hour.

Drink specials at happy hour are worth the trip but someone has to wait in line at the door at 4:30 for high top seating. Meeting people at happy hour is easy because seating is close and you can hear everyone's chatter.

Well staffed. Good service. Catering takeout is easy and consistent.

“We were surprised and delighted by how fresh the food was at this restaurant. We wandered in about 8 PM on a very slow night and yet our sashimi was absolutely fantastic and all our other dishes were beautifully presented. We would 100% return to this restaurant. It’s a hidden gem“

“Was finally able to get a reservation and the reputation is well deserved! The wait staff is fantastic and the owners are very friendly. A big key to great Italian restaurants is how well they do with the basics. The red sauce here is fantastic. Hard to find the right words to describe how wonderful it tastes. They are using the freshest, highest quality ingredients and it shows in their excellent meatballs. The sauces in the lobster pasta and veal pasta blew us away. We enjoyed it so much we came back the next night after a table opened up last minute. If I didn't live three hours away I would be here regularly. Cannot recommend this place enough.“

“The Tavern has been in business a long time. Used to be called The Clam Steam Tavern. Was and maybe still is, a popular country music venue. My dad was a country and western singer and played there a lot in the 50's. Maybe even in the late 40's. A nostalgic band stand and dance floor is still there and looks like it is in use. The food is standard bar food but very good. I do not eat seafood however my wife does and really likes the clams. Enjoy eating on the outside porch. Will be back this summer.“

“In town for a little bit just was driving by and saw New York rangers flying out front. I'm a rangers fan and the game was on at 7:00. I went in there at 6:30 sat at the bar bartender put on the anger game and was very attentive. Great service. I didn't ask his name but he handled the whole bar. Good people. No craziness. Ordered a Heineken onion rings which both were fantastic. Look I'm mostly interested in good servers and someone that's smiling and that's what I got. The bar stools were far enough apart where you weren't hitting shoulders or elbows with other people who's good nice hometown bar. I miss it. I live in Scottsdale most of the year and everything's a free-for-all. I don't care what bar you're in

I would suggest the Eggplant stack but ask for the Lisa Special- pesto instead of marinara!!! It’s absolutely to die for!!!“

“Food is great and service is great. The only issue I have is your gift card policy between Albany and Saratoga. I’ve had family be told you can use a gift card at either location and I have been told it must be used where it was purchased? My parents bought a gift card at the Albany location for my wife and I. The back of the card had Saratoga on it. Thankfully, we presented the gift card receipt after being told we could only use it in Saratoga when the receipt showed it was purchased in Albany. Thankfully, the server and the manager didn’t give up on the situation and were able to manually enter the card number in despite the magnetic strip on the card not working. Bravo to them! However, the only gift cards you are able to purchase in Albany say Saratoga on the back. So if you have a gift card, you better bring a gift card receipt or you may not be able to use it. I hope you guys look at the policy. My only negative. Other than that sushi is fresh and quick and great service !“
