“Wanted to give a shout out to the restaurant, Freddy’s, in Pleasantville. Went with a couple of girlfriends a few weeks ago and then again with my hubby last week. Both meals were delicious. The appetizers are yummy! Most of all, though, I wanted to remark on the atmosphere. The people in charge are just delightful. Had a chance to meet the owner. He told me he named the restaurant after his grandfather ( forgive, it might have been his father). Either way I thought it was nice. He has a young family and loves what he does. They have been open for two years, but I just found them now. If you haven’t checked them out, you should soon!“

“Came here for brunch, I really enjoyed the variety that they had on the menu along with the kids Menu. The atmosphere is cozy and clean with excellent service. We had a large group with kids, it was nice that it wasn't too busy and staff didn't seem to mind that the kids were wandering around because they can't sit still. We also stayed for quite a bit of time. The staff was attentive and food was reasonably priced.“

They make atuff fresh, so there is a wait. Prices were reasonable, and we definitely got our money's worth. “I "cried" when my fave VEGAN or VEGETARIAN "GO-to" eat-in place closed all their locations around Boston. That was sadly & formerly GrainMaker .. (gone now) However DiG has grown on me as their deFACTO replacement for all FRESH VEGGIES and otherwise ALL FRESH MEAL VEGAN or VEGETERIAN eats and eat-in place! This is becoming my greatly reccomended "hidden vegan and veggie gem" in Boston with LOTS of locations. They have 3 locations thus far in Boston and 2 in Cambridge. I hav ONLY visited their downtown location thus far! Just as formerly with GrainMaker, DiG is as close to authentic home cooked! & genuinely HEALTHY! AND fresh meals that you can get to. Always fresh veggies, steamed & otherwise. --(they also serve a variety of proteins, as in variety of meats and fish, but i stay vegan. I have NEVER tried any of their meats or fish here.. ONLY their veggies and seasoned TOFU on occasion.. more oft than not, i do not even get their TOFU as a protein and opt to feast on JUST their steamed or boiled or baked veggies, bases. like rice and excellent mixed veggie salads sides!) Have been frequenting it for about 2 years since 2023 now, but held off on reviewing it until i was SURE of my experiences here. Decided to review it today bcs "it's time". I spoke to the very customer service oriented and responsibve supervisor here at this location, his name is DiJuan and was served by Adonis today and he was also very accommodating (after i explained i eat vegan) and on showing me my MANY fresh veggie choices, bases, proteins (including delish prepared Tofu) and PLENTY of heavenly veggie sides, all preped like you'd expect to find in a Thanksgiving grand day family meal. (AND they do this EVERY DAY!! ) This is HEALTHY eats and quite tasty and delish! See my posted pic w this review of my choice of eats today. In short, just today, i started with very little brown rice as my base and added 2 types of their fresh salad, Cannellini Beans w dill & greens along with their steamed or boiled Kale greens and added also a sweet potato that had been steamed & also steamed brocolli. I LUV eating fresh, healthy, TASTY and "homemade style" (as in NOT processed!!). I added their Garlic dressing to top it off. It came to something like 10+ bucks (B4 tax)! Unheard of !! for a BIG & FULLY portioned full veggie plate like this! BIG PORTION of a FULL PLATE! -- i declined, as usual to get any protein with my meal today, is why, STiLL i got a HUGE portioned plate! ( I normally HAVE2 order 2 - 3 separate orders and combine them, at HoneyGrow, anuther fave local "vegan" franchise in Boston, in order to get filled up if i'm only eating OMAD, as in One-meal-a-Day, in order to get full elsewhere usually!). They have a FAMILY (feeds4) option after 3pm every day that feeds 4-5 people (adults not kids) for like $43. QUITE A BARGAIN for something like this. AND it look like a Thankgiving day meal to top it off! --(formerly anuther non-vegan place "had this", now gone, called Boston Market. However they LOADED their side protions and even base meal with SO MUCH SALT, yuck! so that was ALL you could taste. THEY supposedly made home made, but found out NOT SO!!, theirs was loaded with processed sh*t, like their supposedly home-made mashed potatoes were the powder kind, loaded with pseudo milk and SALT, YUCK!!) NOT SO ! with this place.. DiG is 180 degrees fr tht.. This is truly GREAT tasting REAL and "home-prepped" veggies. They are winning me over from my other 2 "go-to's" "vegan-ish" franchises in Boston whcih have steadily been declining for various reasons, those being Bon-Me (their employees, over at Bon-Me for last 2-3 years it seems at ALL locations i have tried, simply do not undertsand nor speak english for the most part, their food WEN i can get it ordered the way i want it, is generally good, oft times its taken over 2 returned plates in order to get it prepared the way i orderd it.. v“

“Emma's continues to be a local treasure! They are consistently the most accommodating restaurant with a genuinely wonderful waitstaff. I never write reviews but after last night I'd feel very remiss. I had a “girls night out” with my 4 1/2 year old granddaughter! Emma's was her personal choice. As a grandmother, nothing could have disappointed but there are very few restaurants in Westchester who take a reservation for 2 on Saturday night and shower you with so much attention. I need to call out our server, Richard D. because he personally attended to the dining comfort of a child on a busy night. Our female busser was also so sweet and friendly. Thank you, Emma's! I've been dining with you for many, many years but last night really brought your spirit into focus. Sometimes, we all need to see the world through the eyes of a child or a Golden Retriever ❤️❤️“

“I had a. Great bacon burger that was extremely tasty 😋. There wasn't a lot of people eating lunch when I got there. The staff was friendly and helpful in getting water for me. The restaurant is clean. I've been to there a few times and each time I've never had a bad experience. Yeah I'll go back to Applebee's again“

“It was delicious, but I should have looked at the menu closer. Everyone else's meal looked amazing, and mine was just normal. Particularly, the French toast with blueberries and Buenos ranchers looked Particularly good, and my friends who ordered them were very happy.“

“Went for brunch and it was great. The restaurant is beautiful and has lots of outdoor seating. Staff was great. There was music playing inside. We got the arancini that was yummy, steak and eggs that were delicious, and fish tacos that were ok. Drinks were very good too.“

“Randomly found ourselves in the Barley House while on a weekend get away. The place is beautifully decorated and the design of the bar, lighting, etc was very impressive. We had some house mixed drinks, followed by some cold drafts. The food was served with great timing and was absolutely delicious. The price of wings were a little higher than anywhere else, BUT they were absolutely delicious.“

“Care and concern were the hallmarks of Mariposa starting with responsiveness when I asked Chef questions about the menu offerings even before making the reservation. Very flexible and accommodating with the menu resulting in many more offerings to choose from for those with challenging dietary restrictions. The staff created a special table arrangement for our group given mobility limitations. And then the wait staff consistently demonstrated their light touch at the right moment to meet our needs, answering questions, providing refills and options for consideration. I look forward to dining at Mariposa more regularly and hope that you will also.“

“Went to my great nieces birthday and Baptism; Charlotte is 1 year old! Apparently, Wellington Grill is being rented as a special catering event location.
Very clean, lots of windows, 2 large rooms including a full bar on one side. A couple of areas for hors douerves and buffet or sit down dinner.

“The food was amazing! I had the mafaldine Nero which is a seasonal selection and my fiancé had the beef Wellington and both were delicious. The Wellington was cooked perfectly and my pasta with braised octopus was to die for. We also had the creme brûlée which was delicious. The margarita was one of the tastiest margaritas and I’m not a big margarita fan. The old fashioned with hibiscus infused bourbon was unique in it’s taste but I loved it. It gave the bourbon a refreshing taste. Service was excellent!“

“Decor probably hasn't changed in 40 years, which is part of its charm. Really good food (try the chicken scarp), and drinks. Prices are as low as you can get. If it's crowded expect a very slow kitchen.“

My burger bun was hard as a rock, the bacon was hard and cold, my kids' broccoli was swimming in some weird oil like liquid, inedible, the chicken Mac& Cheese bowl tasted warm and seemed microwabable.....and we literally had to send back the wine carafe, it was BITTER!!! “Thirty (30!) of us came to The Cabin for the very first time for a special midday Sunday private gathering, most from from Manhattan or Brooklyn & other parts of NY, but also from NJ< DC, South Carolina and even New Mexico, completely new to this chosen location, and we were stunned by both the quality and quantity of the servings, especially at such a reasonable price.
Five of of 7 at our table who had salmon were knocked out by the huge, yet still perfectly delicious portions, certainly the largest and tastiest I'd ever seen for, again, what was a very modest price. The rice was also unexpectedly zesty, enhanced by cinnamon (?) or some other wonderful herb or spice that we enjoyed but couldn't exactly identify. String beans were good, and we really were also pleased by the warm, seemingly fresh-baked rolls, the zesty caesar salad and our perfectly fine glasses of wine, both pinot noir & chardonnay.

Overall, a terrifically satisfying dining experience, especially at such a bargain rate.“

“I only had a few things of food and it was not bad but I don’t want to give it 5 stars cause I don’t get to try more on the menu. The atmosphere was great and good for big crowds. Music was not over bearing and they also had a music trivia night when I went that I thought was very cool. Drink were perfect and bartenders even though busy do take care of you. The one bartender I had ask for water and I was not sure he had heard me and in a few moments water was right in front of me. Great place to be if you just want to grab a few drinks and have a good time, maybe watch the game cause they have so many TV’s. Worth the money to go to with inviting faces willing to help serve you.“

“Love this place! This is my go-to spot for lunch with friends and family. I highly recommend the grilled peach ricotta toast, the hot honey chicken sandwich, the everything pigs in a blanket, the crispy brussels sprouts and any of the smoothies. YUM!

The moss wall art is STUNNING!
