“Amongst all the mediocrity out here, Cilantro’s really rises to the top. The food was great, it was well packaged for takeout, the place looked nice and clean inside, staff was a delight, and if you like hot sauce, I highly recommend trying the red stuff. It’s delish, and it’ll also give your pucker a facelift - if you catch my drift!“

“Great find! On a chilly winter night Nookies provided the perfect last minute (a rare occurrence, I believe) dinner for two with cool easy vibes and really yummy warming food.
Fun retro decor and neat off the beaten path spot in Southold area.
We also got a nice quick little tour of the motel and would love to stay here on our next visit out!
Will definitely be back!“

“A Hidden Gem on Long Island: One Woman Winery
Long Island’s North Fork has long been known for its wineries, but One Woman Winery stands out as a true treasure, capturing the heart of wine enthusiasts with its exceptional vintages, authentic charm, and unparalleled hospitality.
Unlike many large-scale operations, One Woman Winery embodies the essence of a family-run business. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with warmth that feels like you’re stepping into a cherished family tradition. The cozy tasting room is often staffed by the founder’s daughter, whose knowledge, passion, and friendly demeanor elevate the experience. She takes the time to guide each guest through the story of the winery, the unique terroir, and the meticulous craftsmanship that goes into every bottle.
Speaking of the wine—wow. Long Island’s wine scene is increasingly crowded, but One Woman Winery’s offerings are a cut above the rest. Their focus on small-batch production means every sip is a revelation. From their crisp, mineral-driven whites to the complex, elegant reds, every wine tells a story of dedication and authenticity. If you’re lucky, you might even try one of their limited releases, which perfectly showcase the winery’s ability to make art in a bottle.
What truly sets One Woman apart, however, is its customer service—a rare gem on the East End these days. Many wineries in the region seem to have let their standards slip, prioritizing quantity over quality when it comes to guest experience. Not here. At One Woman, guests are treated with care, attention, and genuine hospitality. Whether it’s a detailed wine recommendation or a simple, welcoming smile, the team consistently goes above and beyond to make every visit unforgettable.
If you’re looking for a winery that delivers more than just great wine—a place where you feel valued, inspired, and a part of something special—One Woman Winery is an absolute must-visit. It’s a beacon of quality and tradition in the heart of Long Island wine country, and its dedication to excellence will keep you coming back for more. Cheers to the family and staff who has made this place so extraordinary!“

“went with 2 other people, and one of the burgers was undercooked (she asked for no pink and there was a lot of pink). the cheese part of the mac and cheese was pasty, like it was a bechamel sauce with extra flour on instead of a mornay sauce, aka they did the flour butter and milk but added no actual cheese to it. the fries were tasty and the burgers were well seasoned. i wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again.“

“While visiting Greenport, I stumbled upon this charming café and instantly fell in love. Their bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich paired with a cinnamon bun became my go-to breakfast combo, and the coffee? Absolutely amazing.. smooth, strong, and perfectly balanced.
But let’s talk about their croissants! I tried the ham and cheese croissant, and it was next-level. Topped with everything bagel seasoning, it was perfectly flaky on the outside and soft on the inside... a total game-changer. Do not miss this one; it’s seriously special.
The staff was warm and friendly, and the cozy decor made it feel so inviting. I noticed they had donuts, but they were sold out when I visited. (Apparently, they make a limited batch each day, so getting there early is key!) It’s one of those places that feels like a hidden treasure—hard to leave and even harder to forget. If you’re in Greenport, this café is a must-visit!“

“Great owner and staff. Made us feel very comfortable and welcome.. Food VERY GOOD! My wife, who is NOT a fish eater almost finished ger entire plate of flounder. Owner told her if she didn't like it he would take it back! Didn't happen. My dish was excellent Would highly recommend!“
“Beautiful place! Definitely a must. Gabby was so knowledgeable and welcoming. The bar itself is gorgeous with copper everywhere. I kept looking around finding new details to appreciate. And the live music in the afternoon was perfect. Can’t wait to return.“
“This place was great and so nice to hang out in. The bar is upstairs and they have many beers on tap! The downstairs first floor is set up in a way that makes casual hangouts easy. There is a small stage in the corner I assume for bands. It was raining so we were not able to sit outside but it looked like a nice sidewalk spot. I’d recommend this place to anyone in Greenport!“

“The iced hazelnut coffee is the best on Long Island IMHO because it is made from the hazelnut-flavored beans. The iced matcha tea latte tastes antioxidant rich, and I prefer it unsweetened; the honey lavender matcha latte ruined the flavor of the green tea.The food is meh. I come here solely for the outstanding coffee and tea. I look forward to fall when they sell the Pumpkin Pie coffee and when I get a free drink for my Birthday reward.“

“We arrived shortly before 3 and they were nice enough to let us in even though the kitchen was about to close. The absolute BEST burger I have ever had. I got the western burger and it was incredible. Service was friendly and fun. We loved everything about this quaint, local “un-Hamptony” spot. Brought me back to the good ole days of East End life. Too bad places like these are disappearing out east.“

“Shinnecock Lobster Factory makes amazing lobster rolls! I ordered a warm, buttery “whale” roll. You could have ordered a small “dolphin,” a medium “shark,” or a large “whale” and the whale roll has the most lobster meat. The whale roll is more expensive but I think it was worth it. I bought a raspberry iced tea for my drink. There is only outdoor seating, including a grass area you can bring dogs. You order at the window and bring the food to the tables with benches. There is no indoor seating. The restaurant is a quick 5-minute drive from downtown Southampton. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will be going back!“

“We had a fantastic lunch by the water at this beautiful open-air restaurant. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxing, with a perfect view of the harbor and a light breeze coming through the open windows. The service was friendly and attentive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable.
The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations. The clam pasta was creamy and flavourful. The fried seafood plates were crispy and fresh, and the mac and cheese was a big hit with the kids. The lobster salad was also a standout—fresh, crunchy, and generously topped. Everything was served promptly and nicely presented.“

“Food is well made. Nothing was bad, but also nothing was exceptionally good. It’s a fine dinner experience, but I expected more at this price point. Service was slow and haphazard, but it was a holiday weekend and the restaurant was packed, so it might be better at a less crowded evening.“

“A great day out with my irresponsible friend!
It sounds as if reading some of the reviews there was a woman working here who was really quite rude. Fortunately, we did not see her at all. We were greeted by a wonderful server who was sweet and funny and kind and helpful and had the most excellent smile! (See photos).
This is our annual trip up to visit the vineyards with some friends who have a family home here. We are two couples who have known one another for decades. My partner and my friend’s partner had to work, so it was just the two of us, set loose for the day. Of the four of us, the two who were working are the responsible, well-behaved ones, and me and my friend (who never get to go out on our own) are a bit less disciplined. So we were sent out to get meat and cheese, and Instead, we went to a winery. We explained this to the person serving us, and he was good, natured and sweet and even took photos of us “not at a winery.”
The wine was good. I especially liked some of their sweeter wines, although I’m not typically a sweet wine fan. The reds were not my favorites, but I’m a California -cab born and raised type of gal, so…
Overall, a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours. Please pass along our thanks to the employee pictured with the great smile“
