“My best friend, her daughter and I stopped here for a late-ish breakfast today on our way back to Putnam County this morning. We had never been before and this came up while searching for a breakfast spot. Jeanie Bean's certainly lived up to the charming name! Sweet place, really nice, helpful staff. Our order was pancakes, chicken tenders (no, actually cutlets!!) with really great well done fries, and a BLTurkey which I requested on rye. I didn't ask but I am pretty sure that Rye was homemade. Very fresh and thick cut. Many other homemade baked goods blessed the counter, which we sadly didn't try. The teenager drank a monster energy drink while us adults split a can of Arizona iced tea. There is a little set up to help yourselves to silverware/napkins, salt/pep, sauces/ketchup and there are a couple beverage coolers with several options. There is a little coffee bar area and although I didn't get a good look I'm sure there was the option for hot tea as well. I am not quite sure where the int'l inspo comes from (perhaps the family has a British background?) but there are some interesting English teas/treats in the little gift shop area near the front half of the store. Seemed like there were some handmade things, and many cute gifts. The teen and I played a couple rounds on the little wooden tic tac toe game that was on the table. The food was great, atmosphere was fun and friendly. You order up front, grab your table and they call your name and bring out your order. 10/10 would recommend if you happen to be up in the Country! Oh, p.s. there is also an English inspired phone box outside labeled the BOOK BOX full of books to grab / exchange!“

“Workers are friendly and personable, even when I showed up 10min before they closed they were still able to make a chicken cutlet sandwich (most delis I’ve come across shut off their grill or fryer much sooner). It is one of the best chicken cutlet sandwich I’ve had in awhile. Prices are great too. I used to go to Florys on 82 but now that deli is trash, this is my new go to place for the area“

“I recommend this particular deli because it is very convenient especially if there is no time to eat at a restaurant and you are at the mercy of whether a gas station has hot,pre-made sandwiches ready to go. I always come here when visiting my home community of Dutchess County from Albany, NY. Most important, they are friendly because I have no tolerance for inconsiderate customer service. They listen to my environmental beliefs by not giving me items in a plastic bag or they promptly take it out of the bag while reusing the perfectly fresh bag for another customer. It would drive me NUTS if they threw away a bag for no reason“

“Shelly’s is my favorite deli in the area. As someone that has to eat gluten free when I order my sandwiches here and they ask “separate knife and cutting board?” Just shows how much care they put into making gluten free sandwiches. No other deli in the area asks that. I will always recommend them.“

“Country Corners is the perfect place for a quick stop for necessities, awesome breakfast pizza, gourmet pizzas, and a huge array of sandwiches. We recently discovered their catering and WOW! The subs were the best we’ve had. The Italian dish was fresh and delicious. Prices were great, too!!“

“The owners are great with very good service and polite and friendly, food is delicious I'd say my favorite is their Kicking Chicken with a side order of fries a great lunch, their convenient and literally on my way to work from the gym and/or home. Well worth the stop and love helping out the small mom and pop business.“
“We stop in at Gary's Dairy and Deli every time after we deliver trucks to NYS DOT in Poughkeepsie.
They make a huge sandwich the way we want them. They have a great variety of sandwiches on their board. The prices I think are reasonable for the size and quality of sandwiches. They carry other items such as beer, soda, chips etc that a small store may carry.
They do not accept credit cards but do have an ATM on site inside.
They do not have any seating inside and have only one picnic table outside. Also there are no public bathrooms.
I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a quality sandwich that will fill them up.
They also do sub rolls and hamburgers or egg sandwiches.“
“Sammy is the new cook over there behind the counter, they redid the whole kitchen and it shows! I had the lamb and rice plate and it was phenomenal and very well priced! $10 for a medium-large plate to go of food with all the sauces! Epic new place in the city of Poughkeepsie more than just a corner store!“

East access to Poughkeepsie Business District and thoroughfares servicing the city; transportation depot, train station, transportation hubs. This quaint space is a prime spot for snacks, sandwiches, refreshments, uhaul services, western union and cell phone services for accepting payments nationally as well as internationally. Great food btw and service. 4 stars but they got an additional bonus star ? for giving me their Aloe Vera pup so I can grow my own Aloe plant ?. “We (about 10 to 16) come on the third Tuesday of each month. We are treated like honored guests, deli staff usually Kathy wait on us taking our orders and delivering them at the same time. Staff is upbeat and cheerful. Orders are prompt and correct, food tastes excellent. Don't hesitate to come here!!“
