“Happened upon this little Gem traveling upstate to visit friends,passing through the small village of Salt Point NY,Looked nice from outside and the reviews for it were good.Have to say the reviews don't do it justice,have travelled all over Ny state and eaten in a thousand places,but none come close to this little hot spot,overall a great experience form start to finish,Both the food and the service were excellent,I had the chicken panini,and my wife had the Philly cheesesteak wrap both were excellent served hot of the grill and came with homemade frys,and a plus also came with Chef Malt vinegar,An American grill with Irish flavors,they also carry a nice range of irish products from candys,chips,bread,sausages and of course Irish bacon and beans,what more could a man want.Overall a great experience,by chance did happen to meet the owner Jim a gentleman who had been in the business for years,would highly recommend this little spot they also do catering for all events both big and small,plenty of parking right outside the door.If your ever passing through Salt Point NY,definitely worth checking out for a quick bit e or to sit down and have lunch or dinner.”

“It was the noise level, which was most unappealing... At the peak of lunch I could not hear my guest nor could I hear the staff offering assistance... While my guest felt the portions were sufficient... My piece of sirloin was not, and I would've expected such a small piece of steak to fall in line with a fillet. All in all the experience was not nearly worth the price nor was all of my bragging about how amazing this institute is worth my reputation. I think it depends on what you paired on the menu in regard to overall value... However in my case, I can say I will not return to the French restaurant.”

“I had one of the best meals EVER! I ate way more than usual and wish I had room for more! The ambiance was quiet and peaceful, the cocktails were the best I’ve had in this area while eating out. Staff was super friendly but not intrusive. One could definitely tell that food and it’s service are the top priority at Bia… I can not wait for my next visit.”

“I'm 71 yrs old. I've eaten burgers from New York to San Deigo to Orlando. The JERK BURGER is the BEST, Most DELICIOUS, MOUTH WATERING burger I've ever eaten in my entire life. When you bite into a Jerk Burger your mouth will Explode with flavor. We usually order several at a time. YUM! Mike”

“The atmosphere was cozy, clean and hospitable. The owner was preparing for an event, but still accommodated us. We wanted to have a quiet, deliciously cooked Caribbean meal to celebrate our wedding Anniversary. The food was good, place clean, owner was funny and very hospitable. Hospitality is lacking today so much, so when it is given, I am sold! I would return one day, we enjoyed our quiet, and the owner was lovely.”

“Jeanie Beans is our go-to, feel-good, reset for a quick and delicious breakfast or lunch, or to indulge in a few British treats. More often than not, we end up grabbing a home-made bread (the Irish soda bread this year is even better than ever!) or something from the freezer for dinner like a delicious pot pie, home-made soup or succulent ribs. The environment could not be more inviting! The people are so friendly and easygoing and the service is fast and on point. Our faves are BLT -the BEST anywhere around- and the Philly cheesesteak. Salads are good too. Go!”

“This is the best Jamaican food spot in Poughkeepsie ! It’s not your typical Golden Krust ! The food , service , and atmosphere has never disappointed me ! It doesn’t matter what I order I’m always satisfied! Feels as if this Jamaican family really cooks their food with love. I always feel welcomed and it’s beautiful when you walk in a restaurant and is greeted with a warm , friendly smile , bc honestly you don’t get that everywhere . “Everything here was *so* good! The caviar frites were the perfect way to start the meal, I’d order this again in a second. The potatoes were crispy in the best possible way, loved the garlic served with it. We also got the crispy mushrooms and the trout, both were excellent. “It's a cute little spot. The food was rather good, a few unsavory meat pieces,in the special beef pho. Otherwise, I would recommend the Vietnamese egg rolls. The more authentic option of Banh Mi was alright but more soggy than I think most would like. The only qualm is that my water wasn't refilled for the majority of my time there and was refilled with warm water. So now I have come back and would love to say there is now ice cold water and was refilled twice and the food was better in quality and taste would strongly recommend.”
