“We went for dinner on a Monday, it was pretty quiet but it was early. Everything was excellent. We got the scallop appetizer, French onion soup, ribeye, and chicken parm. The steak was cooked perfectly, I think the mashed potatoes were some of the best I’ve ever had. But most importantly, get the Coquilles St Jacques. My gosh it was so so good. Make sure you get some bread to soak up that sauce. We’ve been meaning to come for ages, and finally made it. We’ll be back. Service was great, both the waiter (JJ) and chef Jordan were friendly and welcoming.”

“We have had an early (4:30pm) dinner this past weekend. We have been there several times before but over 15 years ago. No specific reason for the lapse. just never got back. Our past experience was: Food and service 5 stars, Atmosphere: upscale (dressy), Prices: reasonable for the quality and portions. The steak Au Poivre was the best I have ever had. New experience: The atmosphere, is more casual -(almost "rustic"), The host wearing a flannel shirt, and the waitress wearing a down vest. After other guests arrived, I thought it was a bit noisy but then realized there wasn't a person dining under 80 (guessing hearing problems, LOL), I'm 65 and felt like a kid, LOL. No worries, it didn't affect my food! LOL!. Food and service: The calamari was skimpy but cooked perfectly. The French onion soup was VERY VERY good!! The Steak Au Poivre... is STILL the best I have ever had! The fries, well I like the crisp-crisp-crisp, but did not specify.. They came out perfect to my liking. The bourbon list, only Knob Creek and Bullitt, drinkable but it would have been nice to see some eagle rare, Blantins, etc. The "house" wine was yummy too. No dessert, we were very full. SummaryL We would absolutely go back again and not wait 15 years! 5 stars from us. Note; we liked the casual dress... I dont mind wearing a shirt and tie but we did feel more relaxed in casual attire.”

“The artistry and taste of the food, as well as the attention of the staff were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our very special experience. The atmosphere and ambiance were delightful. Our server Zack, our chef, and the water and bread staff, were very attentive. Zack's warm and welcoming personality led us to ask questions which were graciously answered. Your attractive and creative artistic selections were especially appreciated by non-meat eaters. “We're hanging out at the dive bar down the road and the bartender there recommended we come here for some good drinks. And my oh my were they good. I never believed in the science of mixology or that a mixologist was a skilled tradesmen. But the old man who made our drinks must have been the Gordon Ramsey of Bartending. Your average bartender is a frycook by comparison. I had a few of their signature cocktails as well as a Manhatten and an old fashioned; my go-to drink so I've had a lot of them from a lot of different places, and never in my decades of life have I tasted such a perfectly mixed old fashioned. It was sublime and I doubt I'll taste its equal again in this lifetime unless I find myself in Kingston again and this man happens to be behind the bar once more. He also whipped up some scratch-made eggnog with alcohol and it was exquisite.”

“Sonder is a hidden gem right on a major street! I cannot believe I hadn’t been here but I’m glad I was able to convince the family to head to a new spot. The meat - chicken, steak and pork belly - were all cooked to absolute perfection and I was VERY impressed particularly by the steak. Loved the Mac n cheese gnocchi and the unique flavors on the ginger risotto. Fun vibes - very hip for the area and who doesn’t love a wine bar with disco balls and a backyard? I would absolutely recommend this spot! Thank you so much and keep up the great work!”

“This is my favorite dive in Rhinebeck - all vegetarian and all delicious! This time we came at the busiest hour - lunch rush on Easter weekend, and the line was super long out its door. But the atmosphere behind the counter (where they take your order and assemble the food) remained calm, orderly and efficient. Every customer was greeted with friendly smiles, thoughtful questions and speedy service. I ordered my usual falafel pita, plus the roasted pepper and artichoke soup, while my husband tried their sabeech pita. It's a miracle how much food they skillfully stuff into a pita pouch - I would have torn it or dropped the content - making one's meal a great value. The soup was amazing, and the sandwiches were heavenly! There aren't many such fast yet gourmet eateries in Rhinebeck, and this one is a must try!”

“Wow - a truly wonderful surprise in Highland! My brother and I stopped by for dinner recently and were blown away by how good this place is. We ordered a phenomenal sizzling fish and pork over rice, both were delicious.The owner is also wonderful and welcoming - it feels like having dinner with family. Whether you live nearby or are just passing through the area, Hapag is really worth stopping by for a special and delicious meal. Apparently they'll also do a special platter style shared dinner if you have a party larger than 5 - hopefully we'll get to try that someday!”

“We ordered six courses from the menu, between entrance & main course. Food was quite tasty & very delicious but their dishes are not visually stunning.The service was great. However I would prefer if they have live music, would be more fun for having a good time & stay longer.Definitely one of my go to spot in Hudson Valley.”

“This place has a classic American tavern feel. There is bar seating and table seating. There are a couple of sections (a big back section which is where our group of 11 was seated). Food was delicious and they had a couple of options - bar snacks, appetizers, salads/soup, mains. The price of main entrees run from $20-$30. Service was also great.”

Our mixologist was perfect and fun to watch , he made us a “don’t go until you get some” and “never fully dressed” which were perfection. “Delicious oven brick pizza. We had the Mediterranean salad and Grana Padano pizza. They were both really tasty. You could taste the good quality of the tomatoes and cheese in the pizza. The crust was thin, crisp and very tasty.”

Clearly visible from the Walkway Over The Hudson, the building sits near the Hudson River and has some outdoor seating that customers can enjoy while they eat, drink and take in the Hudson River views. This establishment doubles as a great local watering hole and a restaurant suitable for a special evening out. The staff are lovely and they obviously enjoy their jobs. The food is scrumptious and clearly made with love. Zero complaints about portion sizes here. Daily specials and a comprehensive happy hour will keep you busy. The owner, Erin, is often tending bar. She and her close friends and family provide a fantastic experience that only a family-owned and run establishment can bring to the table...so to speak.”

“When it comes to our food, we have to take into consideration quality, preparation, environment, and how it's prepared etc. It's hard to find authentic Jamaican food. Came across this hidden gem and I must say guys Ms. Michelle and her team awesome. Love her positivity and how she takes her time to greet each customer with a smile. Went there twice and attended Valentine's Day Dinner that she hosted. Place was well decorated and dinner was a 10/10. In addition, met some other wonderful couples who also shared similar feedback. “Best bookstore in Kingston! I'm not a coffee drinker but I do love their hot chocolate. I order the same thing every time I stop by ( Small hot chocolate and a cookie) .This place is super cozy with an awesome selection of books. If you can find a seat on a less busy day your in luck! “If you are looking for a Great sandwich for a more then reasonable price, you have found your place. The sandwich selection is full of great options, and you won't be disappointed. The Cuban has been my go-to for a quick weekend lunch option. The staff is attentive and friendly, and one gentlemen calls me young man, even though I am sure that I am older then him which leads me to an extensional crisis while I eat my Cuban. I hope that this joint can survive in our sweet little town full of Teeny boppers and hopeless hipsters. Do yourself a favor and grab a sandwich from this place before our only option is a mutant meat sandwich from Amazon grown in a laboratory for 2$ a month for eternity.”

“I was craving another order of "Meggie Cutlets" (chicken francaise), & Cesar of Capperi Restaurant pulled through w/ two pieces of chicken breast of a perfectly balanced flavor of egg, lemon butter, chicken broth, & parsley. It was paired wonderfully w/ angel hair pasta. Only complaint: no public restroom. Only suggestion: Italian sodas to compliment the cuisine!”

“From past reviews, it’s known that I love Vietnamese food. This was up there as some of the best. Maybe only 5 tables in the whole restaurant, but the flavors are unmatched. Went with my favorite, Bun Bo Hue. Great spicy broth, beautifully tender beef. & the bahn mi might be the best I’ve ever had!!!”

“Laid back atmosphere with good music and a good selection of brews. I went on $5 draft Monday and that is a great value. Got the Kaaterskill IPA and the red IPA (can't remember the name), sampled the Juniper Ridge and ended up leaving with a 4 pack of it. Many restaurants within walking distance as well so you don't have to go far to get a good meal after your visit”

“This Detroit Style pizza had a nice light fluffy crust with everyday freshly made marinara sauce. I'm just looking for more a for of fresh mozzarella for the cheese and a little less salt in the dough. The salads here were on point. Overall, you taste the great flavor profile on the different pies that they serve. Staff is super friendly and quick to the needs of their customers. The atmosphere is modern with a great variety of music in the background. The entire restaurant is clean and has the beautiful smell of the pizza being made. Stop by and buy a pie.”
