“We went to this wonderful restaurant today for the first time, and it was unbelievably great! The man who waited on us answered all of our questions, the environment is warm and inviting, the service was the best ever, service was great, and we were not hurried in any way. Prices are reasonable and the quantity of food is spot on for hungry people. And of course, don't forget the desserts. There is a whole case of desserts to choose, and they were DELICIOUS. We will definitely go back and go back again and again.“

“Ate here while visiting family in the area. Service was excellent and the food was great. I ordered the Cajun catfish with Harlem potato salad and coleslaw as my choice of sides. A server brought us a plate of BBQ samples to try. Everything was good. On-street parking available plus a nearby parking ramp (for a fee). The place was noisy but had a great vibe.“

Al Pastor tacos are the best of them all. Parking is not the best but there are spots on the surrounding streets. Will be back again and again.“

“I love the burgers here, and my dining companion raves about the pizza! Today I tried their version of Nashville chicken.

Way too much bun for the chicken, which was tasty but not special in its flavor. Nice and crunchy but bland. No kick at all. Way too many pickles - no problem, just picked a few off and ate a few separately. I usually really like their rosemary garlic fries. Today they were hard, cool and very salty. Surprising because they'd just opened.

Overall the customer service vibe was off today. Our server was excellent, however the way we were received could improve. I had planned to meet someone at 11:30 am. That's when they open, and trust me, not a minute earlier. As a matter of fact, 2 minutes late, with staff making sure to not make eye contact as they prepared. There was no seating outside the main entrance, situated within a mall. It was about to start raining, so it didn't seem wise to sit outside. Tough on those who cannot stand for long periods of time. When the staff finally unlocked the door, they just turned the bolt and walked away. I would've expected them to physically open the door and welcome the small crowd that had gathered.

Cooked to perfection, and as 2 chefs on a date who are highly critical of others cooking, we were BOTH impressed. Atmosphere was warm and inviting, and presentation was impeccable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I took some pics & vids and have a smaller social media of 22K that i plan on directing to go to this extremely good restaurant if they are in the Rochester area. The cocktails are presented with class and flare as well. If you’re looking for that perfect place for a romantic date night dinner, business meeting or just a foodie… this is a MUST-GO! They helped to create signature cocktails for us, and provided extra tables, games, and sound system items free of charge. “I had my rehearsal dinner at Hose 22 in the Red Room. My sister handled most of the communication to book the event as I live out of town. She was able to tour the space and get photos and videos of it to share with me. The cost to host a small event of 25 people is reasonable. The food was delicious and there was plenty for all my guests and we did a consumption bar. The bartenders were kind and helpful throughout the night. My guests enjoyed the atmosphere and enjoyed the history of the old firehouse and the aspects of the firehouse that have been kept like the poles. One of my guests has a gluten allergy and they were very accommodating, everything we picked for our menu that was not already Gluten Free was able to be made that way for her. The plate of gluten free mac and cheese they brought out specifically for her was huge! Hose 22 is a great place to host a small event with delicious food!“

“The food is outstanding. It's served tapas style and a really great price at $5 per plate. My family eats mostly vegetarian and we were able to have a huge variety and share a ton of dishes. The restaurant is in a in older building and the menus are photocopies of a hand written menu, so it is definitely a hole-in-the-wall kind of place.“
