“I don't think I've ever had something from JDs that I didn't like. The food is always fresh and delicious. We've used them for catering also and I was impressed with their pricing and options. Tables are always full and staff is always friendly. Quality is consistent. My favorite is constantly changing but my family loves the BLK and the patsy.“

“YUM YUM YUM First of all Larry, the owner is the nicest guy ever. His homemade items are tremendous and never short on taste or flavor. Here is what i cannot live without. Here goes, his homemade bologna, liverwurst, spicy polish loaf, homemade hot dogs and Spanish hot dogs along with his breakfast sausage are items like you never ever had before. Thank GOD he is right in Mahwah , NJ To get these gems of food, I grew up in the 50's and feel I am back in time when quality meant everything. Make sure you stop there and try everyone of these items and you will be a customer forever. None better. Wherever you are, it is well worth the drive to indulge in these amazingly delicious meats. “I work locally and order from here at least 2 times per week. Everything I have ordered is ALWAYS fantastic. The gyro sauce "white dill dauce", do not call it tzatziki ( I was gently corrected several times) is phenomenal! so much so that I would dunk the Pastrami Reuben into it. The gyro, to quote Andrew Zimmern, sloopy, ooey gooey deliciousness! The star of the show has to be the cheesesteak eggroll, holy #$%^!!!! I called today to order and when I was told it was sold out...yeah, that's right, a non-Chinese eatery being sold out of egg rolls! I replaced with the cheesesteak empanada....BAM just as good! I am skeptical about ordering anything different because on the SLIM chance what I ordered does not hit the Empire State Building bar that has been set.....I feel like I would have just wasted my lunch. Not gonna happen... EAT HERE! That is all.“

“I must say this is the best Mexican food I've had in New York! I got the chimichangas, rice & beans. Everything tasted fresh and homemade! The chimichangas were stuffed with tender diced chicken, fresh tomatoes, and other great stuff. It came with guacamole too! We didn't order any drinks but the server brought us water without us even asking. What great service! I'll have to recommend this place to my friends.“

“This is such a great place. The food is wonderful the atmosphere is great and service is out of this world. I would recommend if your sick or just a soup lover to get their chicken and rice soup. Its thick and hearty with shredded chicken. The fresh mozzarella is like 10 dollars for this small ball but worth it. They make great spaghetti sauce and have wonderful sandwiches too but I'm cutting back on bread so I can't say I've had them that much“

“A walk into Otto's is a walk back into the past when neighborhoods had small businesses and everyone knew one another. But one thing didn't change. The high quality and authentic homemade German salads, delicious sandwiches, German specialties and frozen treats (for the Bogue Pond playground visitors) are tallied up the old fashioned way by Helmut, the owner, with a pencil on your bag. There's even an old hand-cranked cash register to make your change. I've been a customer over 30 years, and highly recommend. We need more places like Otto's Deli.“

“I got a take-out lunch after a hike in the area. The fish sandwich with tartar sauce was very good (and very obviously made in-house with care), and their cucumber salad was the perfect side dish. I had fun browsing the shelves of products while I waited, and even picked up some German-made Nivea cream (the best!). Danke!“

“Was in town for business and needed lunch. This deli is a solid choice for a righteous sandwich. Even though a sandwich, chips and soda was over $15, you mostly get what you pay for. Consider that a McBurger and fries plus soda is about the same. At least you're getting real food.“
