“Working out of the area temporarily, I asked a lady at the hotel for any recommendations for food in the area. Without hesitation she said Sportos (one of their apparent nicknames). She went on to say that she has been coming here since basically she was born. Thats a strong pedigreeI can now confirm, this place is amazing! Great people, great food. I still don’t understand the love of buffalo sauce around here though… lol!“

“Looking for a different place for breakfast on my often trip from Buffalo, NY to Rochester, NY. I did a search on Yelp and Bergen Farm Market came up with good reviews. So why not? Turned out to be a great choice. Busy with Sunday morning locals coffee came fast and so did my order. Bacon, eggs and home fries fill the plate. The eggs cooked perfectly and the best home fries I ever had. Looks like often visits to the Bergen Farm Market are in store.“

“Just WOW. This place is truly a hidden gem in Upstate NY. Amazing service provided by both Jens! The cook/owner of the establishment (Jen Root) has such a magic touch when it comes to food, you'll find things on her specials that you've never even heard before! Not to mention she's a very very lovely lady. I've never felt so at home at any eating establishment before I entered Jens Joint. Whether you live in the area, or are just passing through, Jens Joint is the diner made just for you. (She has a rubber duck vending machine that you always win too so that's pretty cool)“

“Wow. Obviously popular family restaurant in Batavia that does a fantastic job handling a big crowd. A very friendly, efficient staff keeps things moving along smoothly. Great variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner items and plenty of desserts, too. Service was quick, food delicious, attentive waitress, even though the place was hopping! Home fries are different from any other place, filled with spices. Sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on an English muffin was awesome.“

“Service and server were a complete five stars. Food was great. Ambiance was welcoming. Sadly, when it came time to pay, my grandmother wanted to leave a cash tip and was adamant on giving it to your sever by hand. I asked the hostess for our servers name so we could give her the tip. The hostess in a black and white polka dot shirt told us our server had left. Which was in fact a lie. Our server was still in the building bussing tables and working on orders in the kitchen. This is a sketchy experience on the hostesses part. Please be careful.“
“This is my sister and my first year golfing here regularly and I can't recommend it enough. Staff is ultra-friemdly and welcoming- and the course is always in perfect shape.i live close by, but it is well worth the drive if you live within an hour of the course.“

“The service at the bar by Jess is always great. I really enjoy the fish fry and the crunchy shrimp! Today I am trying the Shrimp and Crab Alfredo. My beer of choice is the Tully's Pilsner, but I switch it up and get the EBC Blueberry Ale some times. The atmosphere in here is always perfect too. Tully's in Batavia is our "go-to" spot.“
“Chris is a great addition to the staff.“
“This is a good spot for a family outing to the lanes. It's pretty bare bones, and probably hasn't been updated in decades, but bowling is still the same sport, so what updates are needed? They've got bowling lanes, a pool table, some claw machines and vending machines, and next door, the Viking Valhalla restaurant/bar. It's convenient to be able to walk into the bar to order beers and drinks and food and more. The bartender was super nice, as was really everyone we met. Basically, the beer is cheap, the shoes were in decent shape, and the lanes were open. We didn't get any wings this time, but I think that's in the cards next time. The only drawbacks, as I see them: 1. They seem to have a lot of rules. Only our youngest kids could use the bumpers, as they were worried about damage. They also watched us pretty closely to make sure all shoe rules were being followed. Maybe that's just because we were just about the only folks in there. That said, the place is clean and well kept, which I imagine is because they are vigilant. 2. I got a lot of false hope after throwing two strikes right out of the gate. I was looking at the guy's name scrawled on the wall for his 300 game, and dreaming it could be me. Turns out I couldn't even break 150.“

“This is a well known restaurant in the area. They are known for their prime rib. They have other cuts and food as well but if you come here for the first time order the prime rib. The Caeser salad made fresh in front of you is also a nice touch.“
