“I went there at one in the morning the night my daughter was born. It was Sunday night so it wasn't too crowded but given the hour it's understandable. I drank a beer and and went home. the people were nice the beer was cold and that night was 26 years ago and they are still there, open for business and standing tall. Over 26 years of being in a tough business, they must be doing something right.“
“Visited for dinner on a Saturday night. Started by ordering drinks, Bourb-Berry and their cider cinnamon drink. Both were extremely enjoyable and tasty, a good size drink without been overpriced. For starters we shared the buttermilk fried chicken which was very satisfying and a good portion to share between 2 people. Our main meals were their old fields burger and squid ink linguine. Both meals were great and very tasteful. Service was very good, our waiter was very friendly and visited our table often to ensure everything was up to our liking. I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a try if you are in the area.“
“Dined on Saturday Feb 10Very nice quaint restaurant, nice comfortable chairs .we chose their pre fixed menu .All their courses were excellentnothing presented was out of a boxwe enjoyed the trout and the duck as our entree, the crème brûlée was excellent as wellCocktails also hit the spotThank you for a very nice dining experience“
“The food we got was delicious. My wife had the cauliflower crust flatbread, which was a little sweeter than she expected because of the jam on it, but still very good, and I had the fish and chips. The dunks were also very good and the ambiance was a lot of fun. We sat at the high tops in the bar which is more of the loud and a lot going on seeing...because it's a bar of course which is what we wanted that night, however there were much much quieter and low key tables in the back of the restaurant for the sit down eating experience. This one is now added to our regular list of places to go.“
“Last night I went to Husk and Vine with my husband and 4 others in our party. We went for a special birthday celebration and Husk and Vine did not disappoint. The food was amazing, the drinks absolutely delicious and the service was like a well orchestrated show. I can’t pick just one favorite dish because so many were just as good as the next! Well done Husk and Vine in making a night one to be remembered for all the right reasons!“
“Love this place. They have many different kinds of pastas and parmigiana styles. If you don’t want pasta, their skirt steak is amazing. Also have prefix meals during the week that offer great value with great food. Will be back again and again.“
“HEAR ME OUT! All their food is fire but this spot has THE BEST WINGS ON PLANET EARTH. I am so not even remotely close to joking the korean bbq or sweet chilli wings are literally to die for. Will forever come back to this spot when Im in town.“
“My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of experiencing a delightful Valentine's Day dinner at Cafe Rustica in Smithtown, and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly greeted and seated with genuine delight. Our waiter was incredibly attentive, patiently answering our questions about the specials and offering his recommendations on the most popular and tastiest entrees. Within minutes, we were toasting to another Valentine's Day celebration with perfectly crafted dirty martinis that set the tone for the evening. The appetizers arrived promptly, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice of clams and oysters. The seafood was impeccably fresh, as if it had just been plucked from the ocean! My boyfriends main course, lobster, was an absolute delight. Each bite was bursting with flavor, making it one of the most delicious dishes I've ever tasted! For my entree, I ordered my favorite, a classic beet and goat cheese salad, which always leaves me satsfied, and this salad was .True to their excellent service, our waiter even remembered to wrap up the leftovers for me to enjoy as lunch the following day, saving me from forgetting it as we headed towards our valeted vehicle.Overall, our dining experience at Cafe Rustica was splendid. The freshness, impeccable service, and cozy atmosphere made it a memorable evening. I can't wait to return for another dinner and indulge in their exquisite cuisine once again.Highly recommended!“
“Hands down the best nachos I've ever had!!! I had the nachos topped with beef. When the server brought the nachos out I was shocked at how big the dish was. The large round nachos piled on with all the toppings maintained its crispness! That's a major win for me because there is nothing worse than soggy nachos. And the flavors were just all there for me. Simply delicious. The drinks were also great. My friend had the strawberry coconut margarita and I had some special Butterfly cocktail. I had to pour yellow drink in the mason jar into the purple drink then it changed color hence the butterfly mention in the name. It's was just great food & drinks! I will definitely be back!!“
“Been here twice. Latest was Valentine’s Day service. All the staff seems proud to be serving and happy along with the customers. Food was on point and much tastier than other places we’ve been to. Our server Tommy went above and beyond without us even asking brought us waters and ice cream afterwards! Will be a staple for us.“
“Came here for dinner with my sister and a friend of ours along with my mom and our friends mother. The diner was great and the food was amazing. The owner was such a sweetheart and gave us free cookies, it was a beautiful diner and will definitely stop by again in futureKid-friendliness: Mozzarella sticks were OUTSTANDING and the grilled cheese was incredible!!“
“Everyone was super friendly. We received a warm welcome when we arrived. My friend and I always meet at the beginning of the year for our birthdays, and we decided to celebrate at the Garden Grill. The wait staff was attentive, professional, and highly skilled. We were not rushed out, giving us ample time to enjoy dinner and catch up. The food was well cooked and super tasty, and the decor was just as expected, krisp, clean Victorian Charm. We are looking forward to returning.“
“Hidden Gem!Best frozen drinks around. Pina Coladas are fresh, not pre-made. The fajitas come sizzling and are flavorful, nachos are great, the sides of rice, guac, tomatoes and refried beans are great, too. Best around actually. Outdoor seating, too.“
“My fiancee and I have been going to Northern Coast since shortly after it opened, and it never disappoints. This place is the definition of a "hidden gem", being in the lobby at the Hilton Garden Inn on the Stony Brook campus (you don't need to be a student to go, but students get a discount IIRC). Although it's right adjacent to the lobby with little separation, it's much more than your standard hotel eatery with lots of great New American dishes and a warm, comfortable, unique atmosphere.I've tried several dinner items, and all have been great so far, with reasonable prices, sizeable portions, good variety of styles, all fresh-tasting and "made to order". But, if there's one thing I always go back to, it's the roasted chicken. The skin is so crispy and it has a buttery au-jus that's just divine. It comes with some sauteed string beans that are sweet and flavorful as well. I'd also like to mention the pork chops, brussels sprouts, and the peach melba dessert as well. The service never disappoints, and at least when we went, the vibe of the place is calm and quiet (even with being next to the hotel's front desk). I dig the melodic chill/deep house from the hotel lobby, and I also love the style of the place, it's got a clean, colorful look that feels very "90s tropical". Screens are around that rotate through pictures of the food items. We usually eat there pretty late (it's refreshing finding a place that will stay open till 10PM), so I could imagine this place gets a lot busier and noisier at other times (like around college orientation/graduation, or brunch).I love this place and think it's a great addition to the area. Definitely give it a chance if you're in town!“
