The food is fresh , the dressings are to die for, the atmosphere is cool and comfortable, the employees and their customer skills are exceptional and the owners , Mike and his wife are some of the best humans I have ever met. I rarely come across owners of a small business who engages so much with their customers and really seem to care. The owner Mike literally drove part of my order to my house that was left behind by the Uber driver on accident. The Calamari was the best I've had...and I've had it everywhere from Montauk to NYC to Florida to California. None better. “I love Slurp! My last stop was on Saturday February 24th, 2024 on my way home from taking ferry. I was able to use the parking easily to order inside and take to go. Food was ready quickly and it was still delicious by the time I got home 15 minutes later. I would recommend that you park elsewhere as the parking is a nightmare but otherwise it’s delicious!“
“We have been coming here for as long as I can remember. The staff has always been incredibly friendly and nice. It's always such a pleasure if we're with 2 people or 10. The food has never once been bad and they always give you more than you can handle! Once time we even caterered from them and us and our guests were so happy with the quality of the food. “We had a very friendly waitress. She recommended the rice balls, and they were excellent. There was also a tv in the dining room and they changed it to the NASCAR race for me. The bread was nice and the garden salad was surprisingly tasty. Usually tomatoes are pale white and bland this time of year, but they had some nice ones in the salad. My entree was the Chicken Monachina. The portion size was very generous. Maybe a little more cheese than I would've liked. The chicken was of good quality and had no gristle. I will come again if I am in the area.“

It's some of the best pizza I have had on Long Island! (and I have had a lot, haha). The food, atmosphere, and drinks were outstanding. But, the Service you receive is what can make or break the evening.Our server was Francesca, along with a supporting staff of 3. Francesca was professional, pleasant and extremely efficient and attentive. No one had to wait for anything and I received numerous compliments on her impeccable service.The bar staff provided an array of many specialty drinks which were also made perfectly, as they always are. I also like that you can customize the deal and pick which chicken, pasta and side dish you want. The inside of the place is new and modern. It is also immaculately clean. “Spuntino in St. James is a great place if you want quality Italian food and pizza. We usually order our pizza to go. We ask for our pie well done and it's always perfectly baked to our liking. Their Sicilian pizza is the best!When we eat on site, the food is always delicious and plentiful. To start off, we are given an amazing and warm bread basket. The family salad is not run of the mill; it's filled with all different fresh vegetables. The balsamic vinaigrette that it comes with is a perfect addition to the salad.The pasta dishes are always done to perfection and is enough for leftovers to take home. Chicken parm the tray was a little light on cutlets compared to others but it tasted great so it is what it is. Plenty of pasta and eggplant in the other trays ordered. The building itself, didn't stand out, neither did the banner, but I wasn't there to study the building, I was there to eat. Inside, the place seemed organized enough, there where a few things on the floor. The staff approached my right away to take my order. They where nice and very friendly. I was starving and only a hero would do, that hero was a hungry man. They got my order right and once finished I exited, mostly because they had no seating, I sat in my car to eat. I have to say, that hero was excellent! They gave the right amount of meat and cheese on it (Did I ever mention I love cheese)! The bacon was crunchy and not soggy at all. The eggs where perfectly cooked. I really enjoyed my meal. I will definitely be back, I mean, my journey finally took me to a good, sandwich shop.“

I’m not too sure if they changed things around or if they updated the place but it’s exactly like proportions! The salads were absolutely delicious, and the size portions were massive!
