“The restaurant 1915 is located on the second floor of the historic Bear Mountain Inn, and for most visitors, it’s the only real dining option in the park if you’re hoping for something more substantial than trail mix or a packed lunch. And you do pay for the premium. At noon, it operates buffet-style, charging for about $60 a person, with only a moderate selection of food. For hot foods, you can’t serve yourself. Instead, you point at your choices behind the buffet line and a waiter portions it for you, a slightly annoying formality.

The spread leans toward comfort food: carved meats, pastas in creamy sauces, roasted vegetables, and a modest salad bar with cured meats and smoked salmon tucked among the greens. There’s a waffle station too, where you can point the cook to pile berries, whipped cream, and dried fruits onto thick golden rounds. I can hardly wait to return! Sunday brunch is fantastic! Busy and absolutely worth the wait! I had their delicious shakshuka and an early grey tea while my friend had the hamburger and a cappuccino. We both loved it!!! We ate outside which was lovely, but inside is even more lovely! The design is farmhouse chic meets French patisserie…a great combo!!! And…the staff was kind and generous!! Staff was so friendly and had a great experience.
I ordered the grizzly and added a bit of salsa. It was so much food and the meat was cooked to perfection. Everything was high quality ingredients all wrapped inside a huge cozy flour tortilla.
Staff was so friendly. The burrito was the thickness of my leg hahaha

Authentic Revolutionary War Era Inn setting with phenomenal dinner menu for Thanksgiving. 4 of us came here for Thanksgiving- my wife, me and her parents, we all got something different and this place did not disappoint on anything. The chateubriand filet mignon and New Zealand rack of lamb were on point in every way. The side vegetables- the sweet potatoes, the stuffing, the arugula, the green beans, and the carrots were all perfectly cooked to an optimome composition and coloring. The popovers were a nice throwback a little dry but the strawberry butter more than made up for them. The dessert the Belgian chocolate mousse was impeccable. The overall ambiance and atmosphere of this place was very Yankee in a great way, it reminded me of Olde New England Inns and Taverns. Pricing wise it was not the most economical menu but doing Thanksgiving at home with guests wouldn’t have been cheaper. I definitely recommend anyone slightly interested in a place like this come here as they will fully enjoy. We did not reside here but if their hotel accommodations are on par with their dining accommodations, you will get what you pay for and then some.“
