“This place is to die for! The food is excellent, the drinks are strong. The ambiance is “ecclectic meets English cottage” feel with plants all around refreshing the air, lots of framed picture and paintings, mirrors, and music. The front of the restaurant has window seats! The food is varied: I had a burger, one daughter had the chicken teriyaki, another had the classic Cesar salad with grilled chicken and the last of our group had the Tuscan salmon. Everything was prepared perfectly, the burger was deliciously medium-rare, the chick teriyaki was cleverly wrapped around a carrot and scallion then cooked, and it’s hard to mess up a Cesar salad (which they did NOT). This is a perfect spot for a girls dinner out, gives awesome vibes for first date, or just a pleasant place to come for a refreshing meal.“

“Walking thru Larkin st and came across a bar full of records and wood paneling had to stop and go in. Whipped eggplant with pho cocktail was delicious. Bar tenders were attentive and seemed like they had regular coming and going. Good for tourists and seemed even better locals with the daily specials.“

“First time visit to La Perla in Averill Park, NY Thursday 8/17/23 6:30pm reservation. We came because of the music by The Next Chapter, Alan Saunders & Mike Derrico formerly of the Good for the Soul band that played at our wedding in 2006. They were set up in an nice courtyard at the rear of the restaurant, but an hour later had to move inside due to the rain. Very prompt service by the staff. We ordered drinks and looked over the menu. We settled on two appetizers: eggplant rollatini ($20) and the clams casino ($22). Note: clams are offered in 6 different styles. Italian style entrees from $18-33, more for specialty fish entrees i.e. zuppa de pesce $51. This is a fine dining restaurant offering well prepared and a variety of dinners. Bill was $100. for two meals & four alcoholic beverages. We ended our evening at the unique bar & dining area where we could still see & hear the band. This place also offers overnight accommodations & is an event venue. A very good first visit here. Restaurant Hours of Operation: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 4PM - 9PM Friday & Saturday 4PM - 10PM Sunday 3pm-9pm Restaurant is closed on Tuesdays. Reservations are recommended. My go to’s are the Lobster Mussels and for brunch the Croque Madame. Both are delish. The Saturday morning bartender Kate always makes fantastic drinks. Her Aperol Spritz’s are perfection.“

After many visits getting my normal go to menu items like shrimp scampi that I love I decided at last weeks visit to ask the waitress for recommendations. “I do not recommend this place at all. Over priced frozen dinners from the corner store. Wait time to get dinner 2 hours and 36 mins. If you want a drink you have to wait 45 mins to get a simple soda. Our waiter AJ kicked butt. He was super busy. We even offered to help clean table off. The manger was a grumpy and hard to work with. We ordered wings for appetizers and it took 1 hour and 35 mins. Definitely never coming back.“
