“Touch of Naples is by far the best pizza in the Hudson Valley. Anyone who thinks differently is unfortunately wrong. I’ve been going here for 38 years and the quality has always been unbelievable. Their old style Sicilian and grandma pizzas are amazing. The giant slice is a great value. And the selection of different slices at the counter is fantastic. Awesome staff very friendly reasonable prices. They don’t deliver, you know why… They’ve never needed to. It’s worth going there.“

We have enjoyed Graziano's culinary artistry for 30 years now, (since the days of Mary Ps), and he just keeps getting better. My wife had the shortribs, and I had the sushi grade tuna with mushrooms and we enjoyed every bite. The service and atmosphere are the best. “Great food service. I have never found a place that makes a better margarita. Most places make what I call “girly” margaritas. A true margarita is like a martini or manhattan. With the liquor the # 1 ingredient. Santa Fe makes a true margarita. The food is also very fresh and made to offer. Never found a place that makes better tacos.“

With the Italian bread it was everything I was hankering for during a meandering road trip through the Hudson River Valley starting from our hotel in lower Manhattan and between the Staten Island ferry and our hotel in downtown Albany. “My husband and I took a little day trip from Albany today with no real destination in mind, besides checking out Samuels Sweet Shop. As we drove through town, your restaurant caught our eye! After asking the sweet clerk at Sam’s how your food was, we decided to have lunch on her suggestion. And we are so glad we did! The interior of the restaurant is very nice and it was so warm and cozy as we entered. Your staff were wonderful. We each had a drink… I had a Bellini and he chose a beer. Our server was nice enough to look up the brewery his beer was from for us too (nice added touch that he didn’t have to do) We started our meal with calamari. The breading was so delicious and not heavy and the pineapple dipping sauce was a tasty surprise. I ordered the hot chicken sandwich and he opted for steak. My chicken was the perfect blend of hot and sweet and so good. My husband’s steak was perfectly and we both enjoyed the horseradish sauce it was served with. Both served with your homemade shoestring fries. Both, so good! We had a lovely time sitting and conversing. Your waitstaff checking in just enough to make sure we were taken care of and not pushy to get us out. Overall we loved it! We can’t wait to come back in warm weather and try your outdoor seating. “I used to look forward to eating there. But the last two times I had the worst servers. One never came back to check after she dropped off my food. I had wanted a soda refill and another napkin, had to find her to get my check. Last night I came in and was told the kitchen was about to close so I needed to hurry up (I just sat down at about 9:25 pm). I ordered right away. An ice water and a coke and a meatball parm sub. I was lucky to get my soda with her attitude. No ice water was brought or acknowledged at all. I took a few bites of my food and she asked if I wanted a box. I was really irritated. If they told me to go only I would have been fine. But the way I was handled made me angry. I ate quickly and left. If I choose to get something again , it will be to go. Honestly, Caitlyn is the best server there. She is five stars. The others are not worth a dime.“

“We were a group of 24 on Nov 1. Location was convenient for the theater. Service was great, food was excellent and portions were more than generous. Chicken salad, pot pie and corned beef Reuben burgers were some of the favorites. Special thanks to Jessica for taking such good care of us!“

“Prying yourself off of the main strip in New Paltz, The Parish restaurant shows that the back streets have something to offer as well.
To the left side of Main Street as you're heading out of town, right before you get to the old bridge, you'll see a little area that's called The Water Street Market. Making your way past all the various shops along the way, you will find The Parish upstairs overlooking the area. There is also a small parking lot for The Water Street Market in the very back. If you take the side roads and you're lucky, you may be able to find a parking spot there.
We started our lunch with The Hush Puppies and Gator Bites. The Hush Puppies were golden brown, crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The Honey butter was a nice compliment, adding that smooth creaminess and making them a warm delicious treat. The Gator Bites had a crisp outside batter with a little flavor kick from some Cajun spices. The remoulade dipping sauce was a nice pairing for the bites with that texture and flavor that only Gator has.
For our main dishes we had the Jambalaya and the Parish Burger with the side salad. The Jambalaya had a little spicy warmth to bring to the mix with the chicken and Andouille Sausage doing their part for flavor. The Parish Burger with the poblano peppers, onions, and cheese was superb. The aioli really helped to bring forward and meld all the flavors together including the juices of the perfectly cooked hamburger. Each bite added to the enjoyment. The salad having been tossed in a vinaigrette rested on the same plate making a pleasant addition.
For dessert we had the Blueberry Cheesecake. It was moderate in density with just the right amount of blueberry on it. The whipped cream with the fresh blueberries and drizzle of caramel was a nice touch of added freshness.
To surmise, The Parish with its Cajun vibe is a cozy little nook away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip.
I would also like to add The Parish has a full bar, and the servers were very pleasant doing their jobs to a T.“

But my curiosity got best of me.... this plaza looked familiar.. Then I saw Fanns on side of building . I remember my friend got his first couch from Fanns Furniture back in 1990. Funny thing couch never made it to his new apartment he moved into... he had it in back of his pickup.. and on way back to Croton. We got stuck in a tremendous thunderstorm.. cover blew off the couch.. and by the time we got to his apartment his couch was ruined... Fanns refused to take it back.... so we just thru the couch in the Dumpster at his apartment..
