“We ordered assorted gyros, souvlaki, tacos and baklava. The staff was friendly and the service was wonderful. Over all decent and accommodating to the greek culture with a twist of spanish. Only thing I would change is to add oragano salt and pepper to the gyros and don't blend the tzatziki makes it a bit pasty in texture but flavor was 7/10. The baklava less refrigerated time and more syrup not leaving the tops so dry. Would visit again.“

“Just went to Greek City Grille and ordered the chicken souvlaki platter with lemon potatoes. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and the lemon potatoes were absolutely amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and the place was so clean and decorated beautifully. Will definitely be coming back!“

“Went their for lunch and got a gyro sandwich that came with fries. Food was excellent and priced fairly. The service was friendly, right when I walked in I was greeted and helped. Restaurant was clean and located in an area with good parking. I Would recommend to anybody in the area who wants good greek food.“

“If you’re ever in the neighborhood and are craving Mediterranean food for a great price than this is your place. The hummus appetizer is enough for 2 to 3 people and only approximately $10. The gyros sandwiches come with an amazing amount of french fries and the sandwich alone is great and the fries make it a bonus. I will definitely make this one of my favorites in the neighborhood.“

“We had a dinner party for my husband’s birthday. The service was impeccable. The staff were helpful, polite and genuinely nice to my guests. The Manager, Maria was exceptional. She made sure that we were well taken care of in every way. All our dietary restriction were met. The Owner, Dennis was very nice and accommodating from day one. He made sure we had a great time. Everyone of our guests complimented the food, very well seasoned and flavorful. Great drinks. The venue is beautiful and clean. Great space. I absolutely recommend Laterna for big or small events. “We had a great experience. the gyro combo was tasty and full of gyro meat. the fries were perfect. nice crisp! the falafel balls were tasty as well with the sauce dip. the spanikopia was just as good. Had a good Greek beer fix. definitely would recommend if your looking for a good Greek meal.“

“Everything was good except I was extremely disappointed with my drink I ordered a coke they filled glass to top with ice so very little soda maybe 3 sips and charged $5.00 and no refills because of that being so cheap not to even have a full glass at that price I will not go back or recommend to my friends! Also with my dinner shishkbob they do not give you any pita bread and they charge $6.00 more for the same thing as lunch special and you get nothing more not even a piece of bread!“

“Came here on a weekday after work. There were many takeout orders going out the door while we dined. We started off with their grilled octopus, which was one of the best I have eaten in a long time. For the main dish, we ordered the mixed grill platter for 2, which came with a side of lemon potatoes. Honestly, that was enough people to feed more than 2. Everything tasted great. The tzatziki sauce and lemon potatoes sauce were great for dipping. We ordered an orange and lemon greek soda for that all-out authentic greek dining experience.“

“Just about everything is good here. The only thing I cannot recommend is the lemon chicken rice soup, which to my taste has too much lemon - but that’s only one person’s opinion. The lunch rush is just that - a lunch RUSH; the place is extremely crowded on weekdays from about 12 noon to 1:30. But if you’re willing to wait you won’t regret it.“

“Had the best night. The food was phenomenal. George and his wife were so welcoming to my family and I. Sat outside in a beautiful outdoor gazebo. We are New yorkers who moved to Florida 13 yrs ago and we are in for the Christmas holidays. I highly recommend this restaurant. Best food and service was amazing. so clean we felt so safe with the pandemic going on. Wine was so good. George was so great and went out of his way to please us. “About an hour ago I ordered food from B Greek kitchen in Lynbrook. You could go read my review on their page for how horrible that experience was. That being said I ended up canceling it and ordering from this place whose name I can’t even pronounce. Let me tell you something the food was ready in 10 minutes more delicious than I ever could’ve imagined and service was super friendly. I will 100% be back. Especially considering the time the other place was taking to make my food was longer than the drive to this one and back.“

“The food was ok. No AC in the restaurant and muggy outdoor eating made it hard. I asked for no tomatoes or olives in my salad and she brought me a full plate of tomatoes in my salad so I didn’t eat it as I never return food. The place needs a good cleaning.“

I stopped by this souvlaki spot in Howard Beach right before closing, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. Even though I arrived just 15 minutes before they were about to close, John served me with a smile and made me feel completely welcome. My order came out super fast, and the food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.
It’s rare to find places that maintain such high quality and great service so close to closing time. Big thanks to John for going above and beyond—I’ll definitely be back again soon. Highly recommend if you’re craving great Greek food!“
