“157 Tavern has been a staple in the area for 10 years and is an excellent choice for parties or group gatherings. You can simply provide them with your budget, and they will curate the menu for you, which makes the planning process very convenient.
Regarding the food:
Grilled Spanish Octopus: Highly recommended. The potato pave is delicious, and the octopus is tender with a perfect charred exterior.
Short Rib with Bone Marrow: The meat is very tender and falls apart at the touch of a fork, though I wish the portion of bone marrow was a bit larger.
King Salmon: Quite tender.
Burrata Cheese: Standard/average.
Caramel Flan: Delicious and beautifully presented.
Overall, it is a great spot for a nice dinner.“

“Denine was the absolute best waitress I have ever had. Trust me when I say she was the nicest, most polite, and genuine people I have ever met. Left such a good impression with all of us, and made the service and experience top tier. I have so many nice things to say, but most of all was so kind to us all. Will only be requesting her going forward. She deserves a promotion, a raise, and would be the best restaurant leader. Everyone should be like her. Thank you Denine.“

“We had breakfast there the morning of 5/30/26 (we were attending a wedding). There was an older gentleman with an Irish accent who was very sweet & funny. I was recently diagnosed with Celiac's disease, so the staff made sure I was able to get something without getting sick. He said the chef wasn't sure about the mozzarella for my dish, but me & our server were quite sure it was safe. I was just happy to find something that was vegetarian & gluten free! He even came over & took my pulse LOL! Excellent food & staff!“

“I stumbled upon this place by accident while browsing the map, and it turned out to be an incredible culinary experience. The special summer menu was especially impressive. I tried the burrata, steak tartare, summer tomato soup, striped bass, and the Harvest Burger—every dish was delicious. Friendly staff and a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere made the experience even better.“

“My friends and I had a lovely afternoon at The Rockaway Hotel Pool house. We were greeted by a warm and friendly hostess, Isabella, who made us feel so welcomed. Our beautiful table was in the perfect spot to take in all of what the Rockaway Hotel has to offer. The outside bar and Pool house are exquisite. The pool was bustling with excitement. Our waiter, Andrew, was polite and helpful . I highly recommend coming to The Rockaway Hotel because their staff is highly professional and attentive.“

“West end has been one of our favorite places to dine for over 30 years. They have kept up the wonderful food and service even though Management has changed. The food was always outstanding and it hasn't changed. The service was always spot on and continues to be warm and caring. The four of had their prix fixed dinner and it was outstanding. The portions were the same size as the ala carte menu and the food was spot on. hadn't been there in a while because of some health issues but we will be regulars again as will our friends.“

“I went to The Harbor Light with my grandfather who is hard of hearing. I cannot tell you how accommodating the staff was. We originally sat in an area where he was unable to hear well. The owner Bernadette and the server Annie opened up a whole other section in the restaurant for us that was quieter. They were so kind and we enjoyed a lovely lunch. I would definitely recommend this place. They truly care about their patrons. Thank you Harbor Light!“

“We are very thankful to have had our daughter's 1st Holy Communion lunch at thyme. Pam and the entire team created a beautiful and bountiful celebration lunch. Our guests raved about the food - how fresh, plentiful and delicious everything was. We had several guests with dietary needs (peanut allergy, vegetarian) and Pam helped us craft a menu to accommodate our guests. The team for the day (Sean, Jon, and Natalya) were so attentive and we appreciate the staff and everyone behind the scenes that made the afternoon a lovely memory for our family and guests. We look forward to more celebrations and returning again to thyme!“

“OMG!! Absolutely delicious!!! This is my 10th time here and I am still impressed with the food and service. I had the Tuscany chicken melt- highly recommend and my sister had the Parmesan crusted chicken - phenomenal!! Our waiter Anthony- THE BEST! Attentive, polite and generous. “I love to travel, and Revel restaurant in Garden City, NY, is truly one of the best restaurants I have been to. The managerial staff were very friendly and accommodating, the food was excellent, and the service was impeccable. Melissa, our server, explained everything so well, and she took her time with us. The wait staff worked with her seamlessly so that everything came out on time, and our water glasses were always full. The cuisine offered so many different choices, even for vegetarians and vegans. The vegetarian dishes I tried were a myriad of flavors, and it was so nice to experience new creations that I have never had at any other restaurant. Revel’s decor and lighting made us feel like we were somewhere very special but also comfortable. If I lived near this restaurant, I would visit frequently. We loved our experience.“
