“Lovely people, lovely place, incredibly delicious food! Ingredients are very fresh, often from the local farmers market. There are both very creative dishes and classics on the menu. The Queensboro is a special restaurant that not only cares about the quality of their food and atmosphere, but also sincerely cares about the community.Kid-friendliness: Roomy and fun space that is very comfortable for those bringing children. The staff is super friendly with children as well!“
“SEARCH NO MORE for your next intimate & fun party venue! CHARLIE'S, The Bonnie's sister bar right next door was everything I dreamed of and more for my 30th Birthday party. Let me set the scene for ya'll... 35 of my closest friends, Game of Thrones themed decor & fits, cocktails that made everyone say "I drink and I know things" and the most fire food in the neighborhood... the party was a SLAY. Tali, the company's event coordinator, is the sweetest, most hard-working, and detail-oriented, especially when it comes to your event. She even went above and beyond to surprise me with a GOT themed menu by naming my cocktails after details of life. For example, she named the spicy margarita after my dog, "Kevyn the Kingslayer." COME ON! How amazing is that?!Speaking of cocktails... the incredible bartender, Olivia, bartended Red Witch magic with the amazing cocktails she made for everyone. She even dressed along with the theme, with her sword, serving vibes that was giving Night's Watch combined with Red Keep of the Bar. Everyone kept raving about every cocktail she made with style and care. When it comes to the food, The Bonnie always delivers, so of course my hopes were high for Charlie's. AND MY HOPES WERE MET! The ham and cheese toastie platter was delicious. The franks in a blanket were some of the best I've ever had. The beef sliders were a HUGE hit. And there were veggie options so we had the veggie quesadilla and the mac and cheese bites which were a crowd favorite.Overall, this party at Charlie's made me feel like Daenerys Targaryen on top of her Throne, like the Queen that was promised. Thank you to the Bonnie's manager Gerard for popping in to see if everything was going smoothly as well! That was so sweet. To The Bonnie/Charlie's staff - Tali, Olivia, Gerard, barbacks - Marvin & Pascual, and the talented chefs/kitchen staff, thank you so much! Your hospitality is EPIC!“
“We came in by accident when we were riding a ferry from Manhattan. It's a great place. I really liked it here. Interior , dishes . The waiter served us quickly and advised us to try the fish, as I said that I love fish. Indeed, the food here is delicious, so I would like to recommend the restaurant to friends.“
“Early March my and wife and I held a baby shower there. They were extremely accommodating with us and our guest. They also were very friendly and it worked out very well. We had families and most of the ladies at the tables and we had filled the bar with our drinkers and younger crowd.Music was good/ food was good / service was great! Anne was such a great manager worked hand in hand with our coordinator to make that day such a great experience.Overall 10/10 would highly recommend your next event there.“
“4.5 overall. A decent sized place with a bar (no liquor license yet, but they're trying for it! BYOB until then) and games to play. Lots of metered street parking. There were 8 of us (a couple of us carpooled) and we did not have trouble finding parking. Since there were 8 of us, we were able to try almost all their dishes! The bathroom is large and beautifully decorated florally. Mimi (the co-owner with Chef Shane) was informative and attentive. She helped us decide portion sizing and answered any questions we had. The water comes infused with citrus, adding a refreshing taste. We all opted to get other drinks as well. I opted for the Calico Calpico. It was balanced with the sweetness of the calpico and salted rim. Did not taste much of the oolong tea, though that is a lighter flavor. Must gets: The Golden Crab Bao was loaded with tender snow crab stuffed into a crispy bun. The creme fraiche and yuzu tobiko add a lovely balance. The Roasted Bone Marrow came with soft toast. Gotta eat it quick while it's still hot! The marrow was delicious and went well with the toasty but soft bread. There is a little bit of meat still on the bone for those who enjoy gnawing on bone! The Fresno Gouda Cornbread had a nice kick from the jalapeno. Perfectly crispy outside and soft inside. The Chicken and Mochi Waffle is a great twist on a classic dish. The salty and sweet soy garlic maple syrup went well with the crispy chicken and toasty squishy mochi waffle bites. I love how shareable this dish since it's bite sized! The Rice Noodle Rolls were flavorful, soft and chewy. Just wish I wasn't so full by the time this came out. I would have eaten much more! If you love...then get: The Endives Salad is a little strong with the vinaigrette. It does help balance the bitterness of the endive, but only get if you love endives. The Stir-Fry Peashoots was a big portion! It stayed pipping hot and was flavorful. I love pea shoot and this is a great version. The Mala Tots have a strong tingly kick, which can be cooled down with the delicious dip. I just wish there was more dip! The Charcoal-Seared Scallops is buttery deliciousness. It was seared perfectly. The pickles helped balance the richness. The Pork Ribs were fall off the bone tender and had a good little kick from the gochujang. The melted mozzarella went well with the spice. The sweet potatoes are on the side. Can skip: The Milk Bread is a bit small in size. Wish they were bigger so I could really taste the fluffiness. The honey butter is a tasty addition though. The Salmon Seaweed Crisp is a decent portion size. Fresh seafood atop a crisp with the wasabi crema hidden beneath (which I couldn't really taste). The BLT Fried Rice was loaded with bacon and tobiko. It felt more like a sticky rice than fried rice, but that is probably from the baconnaise and soy-cured yolk. Not a texture I am expecting with fried rice. The Pork Belly Wrap had cripsy pork, a few pieces of lettuce (we requested more), a tasty peri-peri dip, and pork rinds that was break your teeth hard. Besides not being able to eat the pork rinds at all, the dish was forgettable. Desserts were hard to judge since we were so full and only had a bite: The Asian Pear Sorbet was chilled and sweet. Nicely presented. The Persimmon Cake Roll wasn't too sweet. Not memorable though. The Milk Tea Pudding was super sweet, but did have a strong bergamot flavor. It was a looser consistency than expected. Wet wipe given at the end, which is great for those who opt for their boil or burger (neither of which we ordered, but would be interested in trying!)“
“The Margherita pizza is made with whole diced tomatoes, it's very refreshing and not greasy at all. The pepperoni is generously portioned, and as an end to the day, I feel very satisfied. I'm glad to have such a great pizza place in Astoria.“
“I’ve been here… what? 15 times? 20 times? The number doesn’t matter cuz I’ll keep coming back, baby!! The lavender latte plus sausage breakfast sandwich 2-hit combo will always call my name. And everyone here is so nice and beautiful and wonderful! I love you Julia’s!!“
“CASH ONLY SPOT! A good summer/spring spot to hang out outdoors to have a nice beer with a nice view. Its self service, so you order your own drinks at the bar. Not a lot of seatings so I suggest getting here early if you want to secure a seat.“
“Literally one of the best kept secrets in all of New York. Food, drinks, staff, music, and the horror decorations are all on point. This is legit one of the best goth bars I’ve ever been to in the world. I can’t recommend this place enough. Once you come here, you’ll keep coming back!“
“Beautiful, small, cozy wine bar located on Queens Blvd. The bartender/ server was friendly and made some good recommendations. The Chicken Tagine was so tender and flavorful, the pasta with meatballs was just spot on to perfection. Everything about this place is amazing.. Would definitely return here.“
“What a charming, lovely (and delicious!) spot with good vibes and excellent service. We enjoyed ALL of our food. We were scraping the bowl on the guacamole.Such a delightful surprise and highly recommend for families, friends, and couples. Great vibes all around.Kid-friendliness: Has a kids menu with something for all palates and fun "cubes" for the kids water.“
“Great local bar with a very large selection of beers and delicious food cooked to order. All kinds of great bands on different nights of the week. They have fire pits in the back in a covered area with large screen televisions and exceptionally friendly staff. If you're in town in Rockaway Beach, definitely a place to stop by and have fun with friends.“
“I’m a regular at this place and let me tell you, the food and the service is amazing as well as the staff is very friendly. However I would recommend for them to get comfortable cushion seats, better music and to also add strawberry to their drink menu.“
“I went to the Sweet Sap today with my mom. We were having a lunch for her birthday. The restaurant’s beautiful, spacious, and clean. My mom drank a Sprite. She ate Chicken Katsu with Rice. Whereas I drank a lemonade and ate a Fried Shrimp Burger. Overall, I paid under $60 (including a $10 tip)!Definitely coming back one day.“
“Uncle Peter’s was a wonderful dining experience! The service was great. Our entrees included the grilled skirt steak and pesto gnocchi. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the pesto gnocchi was very delicious— a great vegetarian option. The crème brûlée was fantastic, and delicious cocktails as well. Everything was top notch quality and there is nothing better than that ✨ would 100% come back and recommend to others ?“
“Always a great experience at DiWine and the food is always beyond delicious. Brought to friends for the first time and they couldn't stop raving about how delicious everything was and how they can't wait to come back and try more. The wait staff were so accommodating to our “special requests” and shout out to the hostess/waitress who saved my white blouse from permanent espresso martini stains!“
“I came here for drinks and dancing on a Friday night. There was a $10 cover when we got there around 10:15. They serve food until midnight. Earlier in the evening, they had tables set up, but they were moving those out of the way when we arrived to create more space. It seemed like a drag show had just finished. They had a few bar stools along the walls and kept a couple tables at the back. We got chips and guac. The guac tasted fresh and the chips were nice and crispy. Good portion size as well. Their drink prices were very reasonable. I got a well drink for $9. They also had a few specials like a beer and a shot, also for $9. They had a handful of single occupancy bathrooms, which were relatively clean. The music however was disappointing. It was mostly house music. Decent beats, but very few recognizable songs that you could sing along to. It got decently full, but wasn't overly crowded. Folks generally seemed friendly. A good number of people were dancing. I might consider coming again, but would try to pick a day with a different DJ genre.“
“**Indoor dining during COVID pandemicLayout/atmosphere:*Steep steps to the entrance door; patio tables: U-shaped bar; dining room with tablesService*GoodFood/drink*Broccoli cheddar bites - good*Buffalo wings (medium) - good*Garlic bread - Good; toasted*1/2 LB Cheese Burger (Swiss) with french fries - good*Chicken francese with rice - good*Turkey dinner (stuffing, potato/mashed & vegetable/creamed spinach) - Good; large portion; flavorful gravy“
“Omg it was so good!!! I have been passing by this place for several years now and telling myself “I must stop by” but they close relatively early since Covid so it’s a bit harder to go. I finally went in today and got the meat burek and it was heavenly. We have something similar in Moldova but I honestly like this version better. Will be stopping by to try the cheese and the spinach and cheese ones. The yogurt is excellent too. Good service!“
“Hands down, the best meal I've had in ages! The flavors are out of this world and the presentation is top-notch. The service is also exceptional - friendly and attentive staff who really know their stuff. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu! ??“
“We went for brunch and this place has a very nice environment! We got a banana pancake, chicken waffle, and home fries… the last one was very ñami but the rest was nothing special just for that reason I'm getting 4 stars. But we want to back and try another food :)“
“Had dinner at Kennedy's last weekend with a very close friend. The seafood linguine was incredible and, despite being located in an exclusive residential neighborhood, the staff were very welcoming and the view of Manhattan across Jamaica Bay made it all the more special.“
“Loved visiting this place with a friend for brunch! The food was great for the price and it has such a cozy vibe. The drinks are a good price as well during brunch and I would love to come back again alone or with friends. It’s small and the seating is a bit tight but it’s a good place to hang out. Definitely give it a try if you are in the area! The brunch burger was delicious and cooked how I like it but the main star for me were the truffle fries.“
“I just got home from an incredible Monday night with my tribe, which is sure to be the highlight of my week! We have a ritual of exploring local restaurants together every other week, we calle it out “tribe date” and tonight we stumbled upon a new burger place that absolutely blew us away. The food was fantastic, with high-quality ingredients and affordable prices. We couldn't stop raving about it! the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, made sure to make us feel loved, integrated, valued and welcome…such a beautiful values, aren’t they? this place exceeded our expectations in every way. We're so thrilled to have discovered our new go-to spot for catching up over en nuestras “tribe dates” at Emoji Burger.Thank you guys for the gesture; we definitely felt special and enjoyed the gifted dessert. Last but not least: a big shoutout to ofc their burgers hit their chicken strips?“
“One of, if not the best, restaurants in Far Rockaway. The atmosphere is good. You can enjoy fresh delicious meals in a quite place Monday to Thursdays. Fridays and Saturdays a good bar and dancing place with dope ?. The servers are great and the place is always cleaned. It is a modern concept of food. You can have a good fettuccine Alfredo and fresh tacos as well as a home made churros ?“
“The store is small and plenty of items available. I have bought turkey wraps and salads from this spot. Prices are reasonable. The wraps are made fresh and pretty thick with deli meat. Fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Good place to get a quick bite to eat or the many beverages available“
“The burger was much better than I expected it to be. I recommend getting frings if ordering both fries and onion rings because the portion for the frings is huge. The price for the foods does not lie in the expensive range. Will visit again :)“
“I was recently here on 04/05/2024 for lunch time & I had the most amazing waitress ever! I wish I had the waitress name! excellent service, excellent food me and my partner were delighted! I recommended this spot to my family & friends.“
“I've been here three or four times for dinner and I've enjoyed it every time. It's a great date night spot. I would say the prices reflect the quality of the food and service. I would recommend the oxtail croquettes, duck two ways, roast chicken, and halibut.“
“Overall, it was a great experience! We reserved a large dinner birthday party with ease. Upon arrival, the staff was attentive and happy to receive us. We were comfortably seated in the center of the restaurant, the food was delicious, the drinks were so tasty, and the ambiance was spot on! We had multiple dishes and not one disappointed! Once the dinner portion was done, they swiftly transitioned into a dance party with a live DJ playing Salsa and Bachata music. I'm happy to have tried them and will definitely be back.“
“I love this place to eat burgers. Now they have more options and I think that's fabulous. I went with my family, two children, and we ordered fries and chicken nuggets (panda combo) and believe me, the chicken tasted exquisite. For us, a standard hamburger with gluten-free bread (I think it's a great option for those of us who have problems with gluten and I think it's a PLUS) my partner ordered an American hamburger and the meat looked delicious. In addition to this we ordered a milkshake that was out of this world. What I like most about this place is the taste of the food it feels natural. The service was 10/10 and of course the fries at this place are the best.Music and ambient 10/10Kid-friendliness: Combo panda“
“It’s so great to have a breakfast/lunch spot like this in Edgemere. The menu is like a fusion of American & Caribbean cuisines, which reflects the neighborhood nicely. There’s vegetarian options too. And the team does a great job at supporting the community.I do think the prices are high, considering the neighborhood and sometimes the wait can be a bit long.“
“The location of this restaurant is quite convenient being in close proximity to a number of bus & subway lines in addition to the LIRR.If possible try to come here for the weekday lunch special. The New England Clam Chowder and Shepard's Pie (lunch size) was great. If ordering the Shepherd's Pie take care not to touch the bowl it is served in as one can burn their hands.Whether one is a local resident or a traveler this is a fine place to stopover.“
“The food was amazing! Would definitely recommend doing the bottomless brunch where you can choose mimosa, Bloody Mary, or Margarita and it’s a good price. The chicken and waffles were my favorite dish but everything we tried was delicious. The restaurant looks a lot nicer in pictures and it’s more of a bar feel when you’re there. Also, it gets a little loud in there because the tables are pretty close together. But wasn’t a big deal and could still hold a conversation“
“The Pomeroy is always a go to spot when dining out in Astoria, and last night didn't disappoint. The Pan Seared Duck Breast special was off the charts!!! Consistently great food and cocktails with exceptional service and a cozy atmosphere....can't go wrong!!“
“We went for brunch. We had a reservation for a group of 6. The place was a good vibe. The bottomless brunch was wellllĺ worth it. We each ordered a different dish. The food...phenomenal. We all enjoyed the 6 different dishes!! Can't go wrong in this place!! Can't wait to go back for their buffalo wing!“
“Tiny spot with a chill vibe. But, it's out of my way. Who cares?! It's worth the trip. Burgers are great but not enough people are talking about the fries. Amazing. Everything is just right.Dietary restrictions: My family has a severe allergic reaction to seafood. The folks here were very accommodating and everything went well.“
“Stumbled upon this place and decided to order some wings which happen to be the BEST WINGS I've ever had HANDS DOWN! I've had wings from all over and these had the perfect crunch and crisp with the right amount of buffalo sauce. Definitely will be back, for the wings and bingo night. I'm a fan!“
“I will forever order from this place. They really make sure their customers are satisfied. They strive to prepare meals that are healthy. The food is great. My go to's are the falafel wraps/falafel sandwich/burrito bowls/and all the salads are really good. They are very generous with their portions. I also want to add that they were so kind to go out of their way to resend me an order that was mistakenly entered on my behalf. I received the right order within 20 minutes. So kind!! Thank you Griddle!-Ellie from JSC.Vegetarian options: Falafel wraps (VEGAN without the cheese and sauce!)“
“I’ve been coming to Rolo’s since they first opened and they really never disappoint. The food just gets better and better. Everything is amazing but my hands down favorite is the shrimp. I’d say it’s easily some of if not the best shrimp I’ve ever had in my life. The whole menu just compliments itself from the Calabrian chili butter to the wagyu steak. Also, Sitting in the back of the restaurant is such a cool experience because you get to watch the chefs work their magic on that wood fire grill. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in NYC and in my top 5.“
