“This was our go to deli since they opened in Peekskill. Every Saturday morning you would find my son and I ordering our regular breakfast. Sophia and Nick always put smiles on our faces and made us feel like family. Today, is our last day in Peekskill - we had to have breakfast one last time before our move. Upon arrival, we were thrilled to see both Sophia and Nick behind the counter. We chopped it up, had some laughs, and Sophia gave my son a complimentary t-shirt upon our departure. Thank you all for making us feel like part of the family and for providing delicious meals. “Belle Vita has been under new ownership for a couple of years. The former owners would be pleased. Not only can you get wonderful authentic Italian meats, cheeses and desserts. But!!!! I have to send special thanks. My mom is 90, almost 91. For Christmas she asked for an Italian EASTER holiday specialty, a pie/quiche.It had been so long since she saw one she mixed up Holidays. I called Belle Vita. The very kind young man I spoke to advised it was for Easter. This being my second Christmas as a widow, it was already difficult. And I wanted to give my Mom anything I could. I was not nice when they said only at Easter. I had to call back and apologize. About 5 minutes later my phone said Sally Boys Deli was calling me. My mothers name is Sally. Apparently the new owners have another deli with that name elsewhere. But It was Chris from Belle Vita. They were going to make me the dish for Mom. When one is a widow, and Mom is 90, all you want is to make her happy. So Belle Vita, Happy 2024, Thank you. :)“

“The quote "don't judge a book by its cover" would have a photo of this store behind it. From the outside it looks like a broken down deli, no AC, and part of the cooler was out of order, and don't forget the cash only sign. Which had me like I ordered a simply turkey sandwich, Swiss cheese, onions (lots) and mayo. I was pleasantly surprised, now it's no sandwich to go out your way for or by any means the best turkey sandwich I have had, however you won't except something to taste so well from a place that looks like this. There was a sweet taste to the onions and mayo, which boosted the flavor of the turkey. The sandwich was stacked with turkey they definitely aren't cheap when it comes to packing a sandwich. If you only have 5 bucks in cash want something simple to eat as you walk towards the train or to eat on the train a sandwich from here isn't the worse option.“

“This Deli replaced Sansotta Brothers, which probably was a difficult transition for most in the neighborhood and I have frequented them many times now and always am pleased with not only the quality of their food, sandwiches, desserts, baked goods, etc. but their attention to detail is obvious never a miss!“

Don't forget to get a dessert to have with the delicious coffee they serve. The place is always packed but it's easy to know why, after you have eaten there. My son lives in PA now and LOVES delis, so we went in and were totally wowed by all the options and the friendly people! “Another spot that blew my expectations away!!! I got a chicken cutlet sandwich and the cutlet was like my nonnas. The lovely lady who made my sandwich def made it with love. She put extra bacon on it for me which melted my heart. AND the bacon was cooked perfectly. I usually only eat half because i work as an electrician and if i eat the while thing i cant move. Lol But this sandwich was good it was worth eating the whole thing and calling out the rest of the day. Recommend if you are in the area. Staff was just as amazing as the food!“

No microwave and liek i said the service is great and that is appreciated as much as the quality of the food. “This is hands down the best pizza I’ve had in Ossining. I specifically had the BBQ chicken slice and margarita slice while my father did plain slices and they were all gigantic but also loaded. If you’ve never been here before and live in the area, or are coming off the train this is a must stop spot being right up the hill.Take note the pizza is very greasy, but it has to do with type of cheese being used. The firmness and texture are perfect and not soggy at all. In my opinion this pizza would score very high on a Dave Portnoy pizza scale for those that rate pizza’s.I’ve had catering from here as well as other sandwiches and they are all great as well, but personally for me it’s the pizza that stands out the most and is a hidden gem that people should start paying more attention to.“

“always always happy with their BEC sandwiches. they only have a *tiny* amount of room for dining in, so it’s mostly/mainly a take-out/pick-up spot. food is always delicious though. if you commute or have a train trip or whatever then it makes way more sense to get food from here vs. the other nearby options (there’s a whole entire restaurant/bar at the actual old Peekskill station, but its a lil ‘foo-foo’. “I’ve tried many delis in Peekskill and this is the best one downtown. Portions are good for the price and the staff are all very friendly. There’s also a wide selection of drinks and snacks if you want to stop by for something really quickly.The one thing I’d point out is that they don’t get enough business to have someone always manning the deli counter. This means it’s a little unclear how to order, and you need to just stand around awkwardly until someone takes your order.“
