My husband and I recently went to find those same rolls that would stand up to meatball subs, Philly cheesesteaks, and such.. I enjoy the lighting as it's not too overpowering which I am sensitive to. The owner is friendly and can be seen chatting with people who are regulars which just goes to show it has the homey, family feel, very personalized. The servers know my order because I consistently get the same thing and dine there so often which is not necessary but sweet. You won't be disappointed - try the pizza and if that's not for you then the bruschetta or focaccia with ricotta, they're all delicious. This is a neighborhood townie type place which has it's charm. The clientele will be throwing around a lot of salty language late at night but it's mostly 50 plus so any bar fight is more likely to be comical than dangerous. Now down to the what's important. The wings are amazing and the home made blue cheese is incredible. I won't go anywhere else for wings in Guilderland. People I've come with have all been satisfied with their meals (burgers, nachos, salads etc.). Beer/drink selection and price are standard for a neighborhood bar. Even though there is a no frills vibe the interior was recently redone and it's nice and clean.... this isn't exactly a dive bar. Stop in for the great wings and you'll more than likely meet some fun characters while enjoying your quality meal.“
“Forts Ferry Farm (FFF) is hard to define. It changes from season to season and as a farm, that seems befitting. For Fun Foods, now shuttered, used to offer prepared and frozen foods on site. There was also a selection of produce from the farm and pantry items like extra virgin olive oil sold in their store. Issues with the town of Colonie put an end to that venture. Not to worry, FFF, has a presence at both the Delmar and Troy Farmers' Markets for retail. They also have farmers' market pop ups at the farm on occasion. They seem to have a burgeoning wholesale market with several restaurants in the area. The wholesale market is open to everyone using the fortsferryfarmwholesale.… website. I believe they have plans to open a retail store in Hudson. I once emailed a question through their website about mycology (watching too much The Last of Us) and one of the owners, Emma Hearst, replied almost immediately to my question. Both she and her husband, John Barker, are chefs. I believe their restaurant's name in NYC was Sorella. They moved back upstate to grow food and share it with their community, both fellow chefs and consumers. The produce grown on the farm is top notch. I remember eating different heirloom tomatoes from the farm. It was simply cut, drizzled with a little olive oil, and sprinkled with a pinch of salt. The taste of those tomatoes defines summer. Another discover for me was honeynut squash. It has a thinner skin which is edible and the flesh seems much sweeter than butternut squash. The salad mixes are generous and bagged for convenience. The ginger they're growing seems to be a different varietal. They offer the tried and true classics but also venture out to offer different options to their patrons. The brand of Forts Ferry Farm is managed very well. They have both designers and farmers on staff. Check out the photos created by the staff on this site, they're gorgeous. I believe their cookbook will also be out for sale soon. Whatever Forts Ferry Farm grows into, I'm sure it will be innovative yet also founded on cultivating "goodness".By the way, if you ever have the opportunity to get one of their salted chocolate chip cookies, do not hesitate. Honestly, it's probably the best I've ever had.“

I've been going since the late '70s after football games at Bleeker Stadium.The present owner has expanded to this new site on Western Ave (formerly Dorado's) in front of Star Plaza. People at the did have apps in front of them. When we were all present we were seated immediately. I missed the waitperson name - sorry.As per tradition the go it was Orchard pizza & chix wings. First the pizza - original style Orchard pizza which is a thin, crispy, 10 cut. They start at $10. for a cheese pizza -your choice of 18 toppings are $1.50 each. They also have white, vegetarian, & 12 speciality pizzas, such as buffalo chicken & shrimp scampi. We had three pizza at our table, half taken home. Wings are $13. for 10 in seven flavors w/ celery & blue cheese. Always consistently tasty and always cooked correctly - crispy skin and cooked through to the bone. Great job. NOTE: On your actual birthday the Orchard will treat you to a wing for each year of your age (in house only).I went for something different. I ordered a Philly cheese steak ($13). When it came out it looked fine to me, but the owner came over and said it was not the way he told his staff to make it. He offered to make a new one but I was OK w/ this one. Maybe it was the cheese on the bottom instead of on top? Flavor was great though. The owner came back, apologised again, and said he was taking my sandwich off the bill.
