“Food is excellent every time however the portion sizes are ridiculous. If you’re charging $17 for a bowl I expect more than half a spoon of rice. The workers behind the counter are almost always oblivious and are not usually friendly. It’s a shame since the food is so good and this can easily be a 5 star spot.“

We had Kubideh, a ground meat kebab with yogurt sauce which was delicious and Barg, a steak kebab. The very best dish however was the Zeresh Polo--a saffron rice with barberries--so good, with fragrant saffron and sweet/sour barberries. We also had a delicious baklava for dessert. “Had the bacalao fritters as an appetizer. They had small shards of bone in them. We each pulled bones out of our mouths. My friend ordered the cod named after restaurant. Had bones. No where in menu does it tell you that their plate is BONE IN. Made meal unpleasant.I had lamb chops. I must say they were thinnest lamb chops ever anywhere. Usually they’re 3 double chops in every place I’ve had them. Here they’re 4 single chops so thin you can’t get them medium rare as I ordered. I’d say go but ask lots of questions.“

“This location has a special place in my heart. 1988, I just came back from being stationed overseas and my girl friend (now my wife) says lets have Falafel for lunch. What's Falafel? Back then, the restaurant was called The Promised Land and it was the first time I took a bite of Falafel. Now, I was hooked! Strange that I never had nor heard of Falafel growing up in Brooklyn. Working in NYC was when I saw the different Falafel styles and was introduced to Einat Admonys version at Taim. I was a total fan of her Falafel. And to me, she gets points because she served in the IDF as well as being in Season 3 of Guy Fieri's Tournament of Champions? Shabbat Shalom sister with a fist bump. Which takes me to 2024, Taim Mediterranean Kitchen in Plainview. Walking in just floods me with so many memories. The counterperson says if I join the Taim rewards I can save on my first order so download the app. 1988 doesn't have anything on 2024! Once I downloaded the app, I ordered something simple, The O.G. Falafel Pita made with Harissa (for a little kick) I sit down to a nice, clean location. Brightly colored tables and a jug with some delicious looking lemonade. (Too sugary for me in 2024) My meal is ready. I like the fact that there is both Hummus and Tahini sauce inside the pita. It was a nice sandwich, the pita texture to me was a little off. It was too thick compared to what I'm used to at other falafel joints. Just for a moment, I had lunch back in time. Them I checked my app for the meal credit, I jumped in my Electric Car and headed home. Chicken Shawarma is calling me, I'll be back. (80s reference)“

“Food is great as usual. I used to go to the Naya in Midtown Manhattan but since working remote, I just don’t want to go to Manhattan anymore. Now I get the convenience of a sizable parking lot in Roosevelt Field mall, grab a quick Naya lunch and relax before heading back to work (I don’t mind the drive and taking the break). The garlic whip is the best. I wish they still had beef kebabs but the lamb/beef meatballs are good and chicken shawarma is now my choice. Delicious hummus too.“

The only thing that would make it better was if they had fried halloumi to put in it, but I’ve yet to find a place in the US that does this so it’s no biggie. They don’t usually put hummus in it, but he did for me which I really appreciated. The salad they put on it had a very light oil based dressing that added an awesome taste to it. I was honestly blown away by how good it was. It’s a simple meal/concept, but the majority of places I’ve been to are incredibly subpar, as I am pretty picky. This is my new spot from now on.“

I Hate to not give them an amazing review because I am a regular and always have great service and excellent food there but last night was crazy busy. We waited a very long time to sit and we had reservations for 4 at 7:40lm. We waiting again a long time to get our food order in and then they were out of bronzino so it wasn't the same as usual. Come lunchtime, I debated getting a burger (but I had one last night after work) or tex-mex, but then I remembered how close Corelife is to my day job. Easy online ordering and 10 minutes later, I was in cool A/C, completely enjoying my bowl! I opted for steak with my kale, quinoa, pickled cabbage (I think!), shredded beets, black sesame seeds, and chickpeas. Wowza!! I could eat that every day. I'm glad to have a new place to choose from. “So delicious!!!! Came here for my son's bday and the food was amazing. I saw the waitress deliver a cake to another table with a sparkler. I was allowed to bring in my own cake due to food allergies and I asked the waitress if she can put a sparkler on my cake too. They did and my son loved it!!! He said the steak was one of the best he ever tasted!!!“
