“Place was dead when it first opened at 12 on a Saturday, but I can imagine that it gets quite lively later in the day/night. There was a good variety of beers. Personally, I'm a sour girlie and appreciate any Gose or Sour beer that I can find so I was pleasantly surprised that there were actually 2 on the menu for me to try. Friendly staff, too, and some entertainment on the TV. You can bring your own food. Parking was a bit of a hassle, but maybe there's some spot nearby we didn't know of that would have been better than street parking“

“The Tavern has been in business a long time. Used to be called The Clam Steam Tavern. Was and maybe still is, a popular country music venue. My dad was a country and western singer and played there a lot in the 50's. Maybe even in the late 40's. A nostalgic band stand and dance floor is still there and looks like it is in use. The food is standard bar food but very good. I do not eat seafood however my wife does and really likes the clams. Enjoy eating on the outside porch. Will be back this summer.“

Trivia every Wednesday and karaoke on Friday are always a blast. All of the bartenders are friendly, helpful, and know their stuff. Great selection of all types of beer, with some canned cocktails, shots, and THC seltzers.

Very friendly atmosphere for hanging with friends, queer and POC friendly business. Music on karaoke nights gets pretty loud though.

Beer can run a bit pricey but they have delicious cheap options too.

They're dog friendly too so you can pet some cute dogs while you're drinking. And the patio is a big plus. Tables and chairs on the sidewalk are great for summer nights.“

Get a beer instead.In the winter, when we went in March, the downstairs was freezing. Wear your wool socks and sweater & you'll be good.All-in-all it was a good experience. Shuffleboard was a blast. Giant games too.City parking. Not wheelchair accessible. Narrow, dark stairs to get downstairs, opens up to a big game area.“

“Local old school baroom in a blue collar residential neighborhood. The beer was ice cold and the service was good. Had an excellent cheeseburger and was very happy with the tab. Definitely recommend if you are into quality over appearance. Although old it was extremely clean!“

This place has some of the best cocktails I’ve had, easily rivaling overpriced drinks in Manhattan - shout out to Tom!
If you have no idea what you want to drink, no worries, talk to the bartenders, they’ll help you, might even whip up something creative on the spot.
Monday nights belong to Brian the bacon guru, baby I eat pork again when I roll up here on a Monday (I pay for it later too, well worth it, lol).

The patrons are some of the most diverse and amazingly chill group of folks I’ve encountered since moving from the multicultural NYC life - Bx to be exact - to the parts up yonder.

The owner, Joe, is one of the kindest humans, and honey like attracts like, because his team definitely match his energy, they are hands down, some of my favorite people up here! Special shout out to Victoria & Corrine ❤️!

“Walking thru Larkin st and came across a bar full of records and wood paneling had to stop and go in. Whipped eggplant with pho cocktail was delicious. It's also conveniently located near most of the airlines I fly with, which makes it an easy stop. “Love the Irish pub atmosphere. Would highly recommend Ryan's Wake for a private party. We had 50 people who were very comfortable in the space. Private room has its own bar which was great. All the staff we worked with were friendly and accommodating. We had appetizers, since party was 6-9pm. Great working with Jared, as he helped me with party planning suggestions. We brought balloons and some decorations. I was extremely happy with Ryan's Wake private room. Plenty of room to mingle! Great job Ryan's Wake!!“
