“We had a funeral June 28 2025 in Waterford and the day before the family decided on having a luncheon after the services. We didn’t think we would find a place and on Graduation weekend made the odds more against it, My husband Tom and Brother in Law Keith stopped in McGrieveys and Terry said he could accommodate us. ( even though we didn’t know how many people.). Terry went above and beyond taking orders, bartending, and bringing out the food. We Thank you Terry and McGrieveys staff for accommodating us on such short notice and a difficult day for our family. The Brown family“

“We went to Norrine's for dinner last night and it's definitely a "do over"! I got the stacked fried haddock. It's out of this world! Our waitress Kathy was very accommodating and very funny. We never laughed so hard!Our entire dining party was impressed with everything. Kudos to the chef. We will be back! Five Star for sure!“

“We had a group of 8 for brunch for my mother’s birthday and our server today was William. He was attentive, had great energy, and made fabulous suggestions for drinks. I will ask for him next time we come and if you’re able to request a server, request him. They were also very kind to put the football game on the tv. The food was great as always. “My phone wouldn't let.me scan the bar code to complete the survey yesterday but a review is definitely necessary. First time at.the Troy location. I had honey bbq wings for an appetizer. Great stuff. And for an entree was ribs, brisket with sides of chili and salad. A came.with cornbread Everything was spectacular, one of the.best meals I have had. Bacon in the chili and the house dressing being bbq ranch were nice touches. My server Alison deserves a lot of credit too. Pleasant person, hard working, and made great suggestions when I asked. Alison and the food made this a great experience. Highly recommended and I will be back.“

“to the people commenting on the lack of ambiance...? i think it is fine. for me the music is "ambient" enough, along with the lovely wall mural, and photos showing what the food is....not to mention the collection of both holly AND "bolly"wood stars and starlets, adorning a back side wall. the dining area is always SPOTLESSLY CLEAN, and the bathroom shines. they keep the prices very reasonable, which is a HUUGE plus for me. the food is always great, fresh, and tasty, not to mention a lot healthier than the traditional american diet. staff is attentive. i never felt they "watch to see how many dishes you take", as someone suggested. they are likely making sure people get FRESH plates with every visit to the steam tables., since this is actually a restaurant/buffet health law...i have never ever, once felt like they wanted to "rush" me out. they are always very welcoming and accommodating.. “Grappa 72 has always been my favorite. ❤️here’s why. I hadn’t been in awhile- used to go frequently, so I grabbed a to-go order of their excellent fettuccini bolognese and some bruschetta to take home after a very long drive- ❤️❤️❤️and had a glass of wine at their friendly and comfortable bar while I waited. It’s 100 degrees outside- so I wasn’t dressed (shorts and an ocean city tee lol) but it was early.. so I popped in to wait for my order. From reception to bar to the chef popping out with my order- to the other lovely guests who were popping in as well and enjoying banter and kind conversation.. the bartender primo making everyone happy- I can’t tell you how much that atmosphere warms my soul. Good people, great food, no pretensions, phenomenal service.. and I can attest from so many previous visits- a warm and inviting dining room where when they have music you never want to leave. Soooo well done from every aspect. Thanks Grappa!!! I’ll be back soon, I’ve missed you while I’ve been away! Did I mention the bolognese? “I’ve been looking forward to checking out the restaurant, Dove & Deer, since I first encountered their food when their chef was highlighted at the annual Summer Gala fundraiser here in Hudson last year. Their chef served an incredible amuse-bouche with gooseberries and the chef who was there sharing the amuse-bouches was wonderfully charming and the food was incredible! I was so impressed that I’ve been following their social media since then and have been looking forward to visiting the restaurant all the while! I was recently in the area and while I unfortunately wasn’t able to visit the restaurant in person- I was able to order through Door Dash and the meal was incredible! We ordered an assortment of things to share and were thrilled with everything! -Spicy Kale Caesar with shredded kale, croutons, and shaved parmesan! -Truffle Parm Fries with scallions and truffle aioli! -Mini Wagyu Beef Hotdogs made with wagyu beef, served in buttery toasted buns, and topped with mustard, ketchup, and relish! -Hot Lobster Dip made with lobster claw and knuckle meat, gruyere, gouda, fontina, spinach, scallion, and crispy wontons! It is often very difficult for a restaurant to adjust their menu to translate to takeout; and for them to do so where every single dish was not only delicious but also mostly with a great presentation, says a great deal about their attention to detail. This is a restaurant I look forward to dining at again many more times over the years!“

“My teenager has summer crew practice across the way from Eggy’s at the boathouse. When I pick her up from the river we stop and enjoy a delicious egg sandwich at Eggy’s. My teenagers are so excited when I pull into the lot every summer. Thank you for being fun.“

We also had an order of the crispy spring rolls that are garnished with fantastic pickled daikon radish & carrot sticks & fresh cucumber slices. I would love more of the pickled vegetable garnish! “We came to Innovo Kitchen to give a restaurant Review under Phantom Gourmet Travel and I had the North Shore roast beef sandwich with garlic parm tater tots have to say WOW hands down delicious and my business partner had The Monte Cristo Burger with chopped salad WOW delicious Hands down 💯 on both dishes. The service from Lia M. is absolutely incredible, The Atmosphere is amazing, customer's seem to enjoy it because it's almost a full house! We spoke with some customer's in the parking lot and we got awesome feedback! We recently experienced their Food Truck Also! The Homemade Dark Chocolate Bark with Cranberries and Almonds that they make in House they give you when they give you your bill is absolutely delicious and they should sell that for customer's to purchase!“

“The Tavern has been in business a long time. Used to be called The Clam Steam Tavern. Was and maybe still is, a popular country music venue. My dad was a country and western singer and played there a lot in the 50's. Maybe even in the late 40's. A nostalgic band stand and dance floor is still there and looks like it is in use. The food is standard bar food but very good. I do not eat seafood however my wife does and really likes the clams. Enjoy eating on the outside porch. Will be back this summer.“

“An excellent selection of hard to find Eastern European beers and wines! Plus we tried some local brews. Bartender very good at helping us choose what we’d like. Relaxed atmosphere- we’ve eaten both inside and out in the garden, which is hidden from the street and a nice surprise to find after walking through the black gates. When we found other establishments on New Scotland Ave closing their dining rooms by 9pm on a Saturday night, SakeCafe was graciously open, serving delicious food (we tried a little of everything from sushi to Udon) and with the best tableside service I've experienced in literally years. “As a Taiwanese foodie, here are my little thoughts. The noodles in the beef noodle soup were too soft and mushy, and the broth lacked depth of flavor. The beef itself was nicely cooked and tender. The popcorn chicken was crispy, but I wish the chicken had used more five-spice powder when marinating it. The spicy wontons were tasty. Overall, the food was good, but the noodles and broth could use a bit more work.“
