Their donuts seemed fresher than other locations. I hope they bring the chocolate headlight back because this was the only location outside of Florida that had it. -1 star for this reason. “Just have to give a quick shoutout to Hard Bean on Merrick Ave. Victor and his wife Elise opened 10 days ago just north of the train station. My fiancé and I were talking to the owners and learned that opening a coffee shop was Victor’s dream. After working at his previous career for almost 30 years, he retired and opened this place. It’s charming inside and the coffee is delicious and less expensive than *$s. They are literally a mom and pop shop and after spending some time there I wanted to post to support and recommend Hard Bean to all the locals.“

Maybe one of the cleanest looking restaurants I have ever scene.
Very nice ambiance.
Food was yum, we got truffle fries, penne aka vodka, the cauliflower, and mozzarella sticks, and pizza.
Got a salad that was ehh but they took it back no problem, really good service.
Bathroom was also very nice, fresh smelling…..

As i order this kind young man helps me decide what bowl i want (he was very generous btw), you can fully optimize yours for your liking. After i finished paying, it was mostly just me there waiting for my food so the young boy says theyll have it out in a couple minutes so a check my phone and then boom order in my face (mind you they were making a lot of orders). I forsure thought it was premade and left out or something but when i tried it it was soooo good the nutella was still gooey and warm while the base was still frozen and refreshing and all the fruits were so fresh! I wish i took a picture cus the presentation was everything but i couldnt help but eat it :( .
