“I stopped in to Emilia’s Bakehouse Café on Walt Whitman Rd in Melville yesterday (they have another location in E. Northport) and boy, was I glad I did! I entered into a well-lit shop filled with pastries, scones, cookies, brownies, croissants, breads and quiches, etc. and was greeted with enthusiasm and a smile by 2 attractive young ladies. It was a great vibe just being there, very stress relieving. The chocolate brownie is perfection in texture and taste! The scones and peanut butter coconut power bites are delicious! Their organic Colombian coffee is the bomb, and you can get it with your favorite milk - for me it’s Oat Planet oat milk. Stop in, it’ll make your day! A feast for the eyes and tastebuds :)“

Not only the was the staff and baker patient and friendly, they made the entire process stress-free during a stressful time! We struggled to decide a concept before hand but the baker was able to guide us (over the phone with a family member there in person- so even more impressive) to a design and flavor combo that we hadn’t considered and ended up becoming our favorite. Our cake was PERFECT! We were able to pick it up and store it for a few hours at the venue and it kept perfectly. I go especially for their fresh goods - baklava, spanakopita, tiropita, galaktoboureko, kourabiedes, koulourakia, melomakarona, etc. Everything is so fresh and so delicious. They have a small hot case with the spanakopita and tiropita, so you can get a piece ready to eat. The people there are so nice as well. Good variety of cheeses and frozen goods too. One star removed for convenience of store hours. They are only open during the day, Monday to Friday. I wish they would consider opening on Saturday, if even for a few hours, or staying open past 4pm a few times a week.“

My two favorites are the pistachio and rainbow cookie gelato ?.. they also have a nice selection of pastries / cakes. You would think she would know the difference. This is the 2nd screw up. The last time she overcharged us and didnt even blink. Be careful you don't get ripped off by the cashiers. Otherwise, it's a nice bakery. I sincerely hope management takes this seriously.

I said no my grandma had just passed away and family was in from out of state/country so i offered to bring pretzels. I said we would have celebrated her 91st birthday today and she said you know everyone on their birthday gets a free pretzel. She said for this particular pretzel why not everyone take a little piece so it’s like she’s there celebrating with you. “THE BEST bagels ever. On Long Island and in New York. I’m not qualified to make that statement but from my personal opinion it’s the absolute best. I’m a local to the area and have been going here for years and recommend it to family and friends from out of town. It’s a great family run business as well.The bagels are soft and chewy, a perfect combo and the cream cheese is smooth and delicious. They put a good amount on there as well.Whenever we are back in town we always grab a bagel here. Highly recommend!“

“Best cookies!!! I can’t believe the flavor of these cookies. They have everything! About 70 different varieties, and they not only taste wonderful, but are gorgeously decorated! Pignoli, rainbow, jelly-filled, chocolate-filled, almond cookies…I want to try them all!“

“This is a very well-priced, very high quality, and very upstanding bakery. We bulk ordered hundreds of lbs of cookies for business gifts.
They have small bakery taste, quality, and service at commercial quantities.

The shipment packaging was very rigid and nothing came broken which was amazing (they shipped to CO). Even more amazing were the cookies. It wasn't just "different shapes and colors with massive amounts of sugar" like most commercial bakeries.
Every cookie had its own unique flavor and texture!

The packaging trays are also cardboard, with minimal plastic covering. Eco-friendly is a huge bonus!

We looked a very long time for a good bakery that was ethical AND put out a good product. Cookies United promotes employees mostly from within and their 'about us' video immediately sold me on purchasing from here.

We put our employees first and believe in turning normal jobs into careers and so does this place. That's how business should be.
