“What a perfect little spot for some delicious food and a comfortable atmosphere. The bartender was so nice, the game was on the TV, and the vibe felt very New York to me, as an out-of-towner. I loved the pizza hand-rolled logs and the wings. I also tried to beef on weck, which wasn’t my favorite but it was my first time and it might just not be my type of dish. I would definitely recommend this spot to someone for a late evening, quick bite.“

“I alway enjoy whatever cocktail I get from Ballyhoo, and my last visit there was no different. One of the best bars in town in my opinion with very reasonably priced drinks and excellent customer service. Not a very large bar space, but definitely worth checking out. They do serve a limited food menu as well, but I have not tried any yet.“

I got the special the mama drew which was chicken cutlet with some vodka sauce on an Italian bread, and the only thing I’d change would be to provide extra sauce on the side and maybe a softer bread. “Everytime I go here the food, drinks and atmosphere are amazing. I figured I’d take the time to finally make a review because last night we had such an awesome interaction with staff. There was a slight miscommunication that led to a delay in food. We were having so much fun that we didn’t even notice, but the staff were apologetic and kind in getting it to us.

“Visited for the first time with my mom on 1/31/26. Friendly, hard working host sat us within 10 minutes. We ordered a drink at the bar and chatted with the bartender, he was fluent in the menu and preparations. Our server was equally informative, she was very busy, only wished we had a bit more attention but, it was a busy Saturday. We ordered the Meatloaf Tower and the Shrimp and Scallop dinners. Both were very good, served with warm bread, salad and side. Meatloaf was a bit dense but good, Shrimp and Scallops were cooked to perfection in a garlicky butter and the vegetables with that dish were outstanding.“

“Gordon's runs our favorite teams when they play (Sabres, Bandits, Bills). they have karaoke every week on Wednesday, and trivia on Thursdays. The bartenders are really attentive and pleasant. While the food menu is a bit limited, everything is really tasty (it's rare to find a place where you can have three drinks and ten wings for less than $30). It's my favorite local bar.“

“Stopped in to get some food because the kids were hungry. I went in by myself first to make sure it was a family friendly place. The bartender was also the cook for the day and she assured me it was fine and seated us in the back. The food was fantastic and she was very efficient and friendly. “Now so far I've only had the chicken tenders and fries 🍟. I can day they both were very good . You can tell it was fried in fresh oil . Not greasy and fries perfectly crisp.
The service I'm regretful to say was way too 🐌 slow.
Understandable he's a first time business owner to include a very wonderful person at that . Just opened a couple months ago. I think he will get the hang of things. The service will improve.

“We had our diaper party here and can’t say enough great things about the experience we had and the staff that helped us. From the very beginning Scott, Beth and the rest of the staff were kind, helpful and very professional. We had been coming here long before it was 16 Ellicott and have to say how great the inside looks, how nice the staff is, how good the food still is even after the ownership change. If you’re looking to host a small party, go out to eat or even meet friends for a drink this is the spot!! We so appreciate everyone who helped make our party such a fun day!“

“A step below a dive bar, but I didn't go for the ambience. The beef on weck was outstanding. So much so that I went back again the following week. One member of our party felt the same way about the wings. I may never get to try them because it's like going to Grover's and ordering anything other than a cheeseburger. They are so damn good, you can't pass it up. Of course next time I guess I can get the beef on weck and the wings. Both servers were first rate, attentive, personable and professional. And don't get me started with the beer prices or they might decide to raise them..“

“Went there before a play for dinner at Shea's Buffalo. This place is on the Chippewa bar strip, so we were not expecting much. Walking inside, it looks like a typical party/cocktail bar, brick walls, long bar, and tables opposite the bar with plastic chairs and Formica tables, so you are sitting in the bar. At 5:30PM on restaurant week before a nearby playing of Hamilton, we were the only diner's there (and only 4 others at the bar). Now the good part.... one of the best meals I have had in a long time!!!!! Waitress/bartender was prompt, attentive and friendly. The special for restaurant week that we had was $35 for soup/salad (I had soup), Duck with asparagus, yams, sprouts and and pie for dessert. This meal was fabulous! Perfect portion and perfect flavor. The caramel/peanut butter pie was luscious! On top of all this, we were there during happy hour, so $3 a beer. I highly recommend trying this place to eat, just don't expect a cozy, intimate atmosphere. You won't be disappoints, and you won't be broke.“

“Our family had Easter Brunch at Jack Rabbit and we were all very impressed, the service was excellent! Everything was served in a timely manner (even with it being very busy) our food was hot and delicious! We all had different entrees from Eggs Benedict, Steak & Eggs, Turkey Benedict, Pancakes and we all agreed that the Breakfast Pizza was the BEST we have ever had oh and don’t forget the Tater Tots! “Honestly, I don't know anything about the current Papa Joe's -- I have lived in New York City for 45 years and haven't even visited Buffalo in 13 years --- but Papa Joe's is important to me because it once belonged to my grandfather, who established a bar there. I don't know exactly when it was established, but it was already in operation in 1910 and he owned it through Prohibition, and passed away in 1935. My father was actually born upstairs - over 100 years ago! The bar has been in operation, under various ownership, for more than 100 years!! That's something, I think! I grew up on Randolph Ave.“

I got the pierced Ave burger.. cooked exactly the way I like it, med rare, juicy, and with crispy bacon.
Only complaint I have is the food was cold. Burger abd tots were both luke warm, not hot
Both ladies, Lydia and Zada did a fine job and both recommended the white pizza. Didn't want pizza today but someone should try it and let me know .
Bathroom was very clean...

“Got stranded at Christmas 2022. This hotel staff is absolutely amazing!! Very accommodating, super helpful. Other hotels are running out of food and these guys are making breakfast and a dinner for everyone. It’s truly an amazing crew. They are stranded with us and dealing with all the stress yet have a smile on their face!! A can not recommend this place enough, just because of the staff.
